I love how easy it is to collaborate with others. I can share updates with multiple people, organize tasks, track progress without needing separate tools. It's super convenient, especially when managing a project. The automation and visual tools also help me understand what's going on at a glance-great for saving time. One thing that bothers me is that sometimes reporting feels a bit limited. for example, I often end up exporting data into excel because smartsheet doesn't fully support the kind of reporting or sheet-based summaries I need directly within the app. It would be great to have more dynamic and sheet-based reporting options built right in. I use Smartshares every day, and it’s become an essential part of my workflow. It brings all the data I need into one place, which saves time and eliminates the hassle of switching between systems. The interface is intuitive, and collaborating with colleagues is seamless—whether we're reviewing reports, checking updates, or working through compliance tasks. It’s made my job as a Compliance & Risk Analyst much more efficient and connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Smartshares daily, and while I initially found it a bit tricky to navigate, I’ve now become familiar with the layout and features. It’s made a big difference in how I work—having all the data I need in one place saves time and reduces errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Smartsheet can be really useful for team collaboration, especially when working on multiple projects with different groups. Most people tend to use it daily in their tasks, whether individual or group work.
For leadership, Smartsheet offers customizable dashboards that show real-time data on performance and progress. Whether you're managing global operations or tracking a single team’s goals, the platform makes it easy to keep everyone on the same page.
And from an enterprise perspective, our IT and security teams like that Smartsheet is compliant with things like GDPR and has good permission controls—so we can safely manage sensitive projects without worrying about who has access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Smartsheet supports multiple users editing a sheet, but it's not truly real-time. Sometimes if two people are editing the same sheet, you'll get a conflict or be prompted to refresh. I'd love to see smoother, live collaboration with changes updating instantly—especially when working with fast-moving teams.
The built-in forms are useful for intake processes, but they lack advanced conditional logic. For example, I’d like to show or hide entire sections based on previous answers, use calculated fields, or redirect based on form responses—similar to tools like Typeform or Jotform.
Comments exist, but they’re not very visible in the overall workflow. A more robust commenting system with @mentions, threads, and the ability to resolve discussions inline—similar to Notion or Google Docs—would make collaboration easier especially when it comes to weekly catch up meetings. I primarily use Smartsheet to digitize both our internal and customer-facing request and order forms. As a leasing company, it's essential that the process of ordering a vehicle, fuel card, or charging fob is as seamless and efficient as possible. A smooth and fast customer experience is critical to our business.
We also interact with drivers daily, so minimizing the number of calls and emails to our customer support team is a priority. This allows our team to focus on delivering quick resolutions and positive outcomes.
One of the features I appreciate most about Smartsheet is how easily forms can be integrated into both our own and our customers’ intranet or digital environments. Any updates made to the forms are applied instantly, which helps us stay agile and responsive.
Overall, I find Smartsheet intuitive and user-friendly. Creating forms and dashboards is straightforward, and implementation is quick and hassle-free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am yet to understand how to integrate Smartsheets with Salesforce. Hopefully this will streamline things like customers requests queue management for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From my experience, Smartsheet offers the most user-friendly interface for real-time collaboration among groups working on the same projects. What I appreciate most is the ability to selectively share specific sheets or pieces of information across different levels of my organization, which helps maintain the confidentiality of my projects. The excel shape and format. I know it is a sheet; however, how can Smartsheet be little bit different from Excel? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about Smartsheet would be Automations. It’s the key differentiator, we’ve started using smartsheet sometime back it has helped saved so much of my time and helped streamline so many processes which would’ve required manual interventions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The restriction of number of rows you could paste in one go and the number formulas that can reference a cell can make things hard sometimes while working on a simple smartsheet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

over simplification of the UI and constant changes ... at a certain point simplification becomes confusing... we're all adults here not in grade school
I want a button and i want a description of the button and a full menu of capabilities to picjk and choose from as I see fit ... not some smartsheet designers next iteration of the UI because that's their Job ... Its a tool I use and I get tired of guessing how to use it because you changed it AGAIN Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that you can build a database and then build different things from the database. In my line of work, different departments have different needs. But it all revolves a single database so everyone is has access to what they need and everyone can be on the same page. This allows us to build different areas that all connect back to the main data sorce. With the abilty to create a dashboard for a quick overview of whats going on in different parts. It has been a major help to push out business further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only downside I have ran into, is the time it takes to understand how things can work together. It took a bit of trial and error to really understand the full potienal this software has to offer. But once you understand and know your way around, its next level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Smartsheet has been an invaluable tool for the projects I’ve been working on. I appreciate the ability to set up automated reminders, attach documents directly to rows, and communicate with team members within the sheet itself. The automation features are especially helpful—once a rule is created, it runs on its own. For example, I’ve set up a rule to automatically highlight vacant spots on my sheet, making them easy to spot at a glance.
I also really like the parent/child row structure, which allows me to organize information hierarchically and collapse sections I don’t need to see. This keeps my sheets clean and focused without losing important details.
Smartsheet offers a wide range of features, and I’m excited to continue exploring everything it can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One feature I wish Smartsheet had is the ability to use tabs like in Excel. Tabs are incredibly convenient when working on related components of a project that don’t necessarily need to live in the main sheet. Having the option to separate information while keeping it within the same document would make managing complex projects even easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
