What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like best about Microsoft SharePoint is how it streamlines collaboration and document management. It makes it easy for teams to share files, track versions, and control access in one centralized place. The integration with other Microsoft tools like Teams and Outlook also helps improve productivity and ensures everyone is working with up-to-date information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

One of the challenges with SharePoint is that it can feel overwhelming for new users. The interface isn’t always intuitive, especially when it comes to configuring permissions and customizing sites. It often requires additional training and support to use effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft SharePoint solves several key problems, especially around document management and team collaboration. It provides a centralized place to store, organize, and share files securely, which reduces the confusion of having multiple document versions scattered across email threads.

For me, this means less time spent searching for information, better version control, and improved coordination with colleagues, since everyone can access up-to-date documents and track changes easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Multiple Users on the same document are able to make revisions at the same time. We are able to auto save the files, limiting the risk of losing entered data.

We are able to store many more files as we use the Cloud rather than our Local Server. Also no longer need to have backup server at an off site location and have physical tapes to backup the data.

SharePoint was very easy to ingrate, we just had to copy our files and within a short amount of time these files were available for everyone to use. The entire company was then able to implement the same naming structure from one project to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

The limit in naming conventions that are not long enough, making it difficult to have the necessary name for the files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

This solves the problem of saving files and the large space it requires. Many employees are able to view and use files. Each of our projects now use the same naming convention so it is very easy to move from one project to another.

We're able to coordinate with Teams and send the a direct link for the file thru email, making revisions and signatures for all parties extremely easy and beneficial .

Having employee workshop participants and timing, specific training dates, and resources to ensured a smooth transition as we continue to move forward with SharePoint. In addition, there are internal high-level training sessions to get current users acclimated to advancements with SharePoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First Installation and setup can be overwhelming for a new user. Performance is slower with a lot of files or poorly optimized websites. UI looks old and outdated in some areas with respect to modern ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft Sharepoint helps us to bring all internal documents to the one place, where the documents can be shared in real-time by the teams, and all the team members get access to the latest versions. It avoids the problem of data being everywhere, reduces file sharing and secures files with role-based permissions. This results in better organization, faster decision-making and increased productivity across departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Microsoft SharePoint is great for sharing files amongst team members and reducing the need for added emails. It's very fast and has a user-friendly interface, making it great for users of different skill levels. Our organization uses SharePoint daily since multiple users can access and edit files simultaneously. It also allows users to share files with users outside of the organization while maintaining access control. I like the ease of integration with Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Implementing SharePoint was very easy for our organization since we were already using Microsoft Teams. Every Microsoft Teams channel has an associated SharePoint site where the files are automatically stored. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

The only downsides I have experienced with Microsoft SharePoint is that it becomes slow when there are larger files and the mobile app is a bit clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I have used sharepoint for 2 years, given the ease of creating database and storing them and column level security in basis of user rights, and on the table level where you can give access restrictions is really amazing, with less knowledge in DBMS i was able to work with it very well. The webparts developed with C# was easy to debug, develop and maintain, My whole time with it I loved it and would recommend. I used it everyday in my work, Establishing the whole integration was considerably easy. And views are easy to implement ( in the web parts) and runtime debug is also really good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?
