What I like best about Microsoft SharePoint is how it streamlines collaboration and document management. It makes it easy for teams to share files, track versions, and control access in one centralized place. The integration with other Microsoft tools like Teams and Outlook also helps improve productivity and ensures everyone is working with up-to-date information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the challenges with SharePoint is that it can feel overwhelming for new users. The interface isn’t always intuitive, especially when it comes to configuring permissions and customizing sites. It often requires additional training and support to use effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Multiple Users on the same document are able to make revisions at the same time. We are able to auto save the files, limiting the risk of losing entered data.
We are able to store many more files as we use the Cloud rather than our Local Server. Also no longer need to have backup server at an off site location and have physical tapes to backup the data.
SharePoint was very easy to ingrate, we just had to copy our files and within a short amount of time these files were available for everyone to use. The entire company was then able to implement the same naming structure from one project to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The limit in naming conventions that are not long enough, making it difficult to have the necessary name for the files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How it easily integrates and provides solutions with the rest of the Office 365. Giving SharePoint administrator an easy tool for all users, and giving end users and easy interface for all of the tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. All features we like. File sharing, List creations, forms customizations, source point for Excel and PowerApps, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
SharePoint is optimally suited for document centralization, intra-firm communication, and project collaboration. It integrates well with Microsoft 365 Applications like Teams, Outlook and OneDrive, enhancing departmental productivity. Version control and access rights are also well managed. First Installation and setup can be overwhelming for a new user. Performance is slower with a lot of files or poorly optimized websites. UI looks old and outdated in some areas with respect to modern ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft SharePoint is great for sharing files amongst team members and reducing the need for added emails. It's very fast and has a user-friendly interface, making it great for users of different skill levels. Our organization uses SharePoint daily since multiple users can access and edit files simultaneously. It also allows users to share files with users outside of the organization while maintaining access control. I like the ease of integration with Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Implementing SharePoint was very easy for our organization since we were already using Microsoft Teams. Every Microsoft Teams channel has an associated SharePoint site where the files are automatically stored. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downsides I have experienced with Microsoft SharePoint is that it becomes slow when there are larger files and the mobile app is a bit clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Centralized document management and collaboration capabilities. It allows teams to store, share, and access files securely from anywhere, while maintaining version control and permissions. I also appreciate its integration with other Microsoft 365 tools like Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the most alluring features that Microsoft SharePoint brings to the organization is the aspect of acting as a central place for Storage, managing, and collaborating on business content across the organization, ensuring a streamlined process of sharing information and working collaboratively on projects while maintaining an extremely high security and accessibility standard across different devices. Easy to use, Microsoft Customer support is also very fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have used sharepoint for 2 years, given the ease of creating database and storing them and column level security in basis of user rights, and on the table level where you can give access restrictions is really amazing, with less knowledge in DBMS i was able to work with it very well. The webparts developed with C# was easy to debug, develop and maintain, My whole time with it I loved it and would recommend. I used it everyday in my work, Establishing the whole integration was considerably easy. And views are easy to implement ( in the web parts) and runtime debug is also really good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Finding some bugs were more difficult while compared to other web apps, but not much to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
