Microsoft Excel excels at handling data analysis, reporting, and visualization. I love how intuitive yet powerful features like PivotTables, formulas, and Power Query are. It also integrates well with other Office apps and offers real-time collaboration via OneDrive. The ability to customize sheets with conditional formatting, charts, and even VBA macros makes it a versatile tool for professionals across domains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Excel is incredibly powerful, it can lag or crash when working with very large datasets. The learning curve is steep for advanced features like Power Pivot or VBA, especially for non-technical users. Also, version compatibility issues sometimes arise when sharing files between older and newer Excel versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Microsoft Excel is a daily based routine for me. My day begins with opening my excel sheet, and use number of features like Time Value of Money, Lookups, Pivot tales etc for my day-to-day tasks. It takes less time to analyze a dataset and extract insights to communicate it to shareholders. It's very easy to integrate it with word (For mail merge), Powerpoint and other tools in Microsoft platform and it's easy to implement multiple functions in the same file and different sheets as well, no hard science. There are numerous resources for help but if support is need, customer service is always there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although MS Excel is a universal software, I find it hard sometime specially when I work with larger datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- it is readily available
- it is super intuitive and easy to use
- it is packed with a diverse array of features
- it is a great way to learn data analytics and a path to power bi
- it integrates with MS offce suite and beyond with other tools such as power bi
- it allows you to save as CSV and CSV UTF8, thereby allowing foreign language content but also to export to other tools that might not be compatible with it
- and much more Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- it is still human-error prome and ways to reduce it like locking are not as intuitive
- I like that it lets you know who has edited what but collaboration and sharing is not as effective and reliable as it should already be
- the AI-powered analytics is a great addition but has some way to go Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate how versatile Microsoft Excel is. Its vast array of features allows for detailed data analysis, complex calculations, and dynamic visualizations. It's my go-to tool for tasks ranging from simple number crunching to advanced financial modeling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Excel is powerful, its complexity can be overwhelming at times, especially for users who aren't familiar with advanced features like macros or complex formulas. Additionally, Excel's performance can degrade with very large datasets, making it harder to work efficiently in such cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can use it so easily. It allows me to implement so many different things with the program. I don't have to use the customer support option, but when I do, it is easy to find the answers to my questions as needed. I use it daily and it integrates with all the needs of my daily tasks. There are so many features, sometimes I get lost! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is sometimes confusing trying to figure out which feature will be easiest to use, and there are some features that are still confusing, even with the customer support options that are available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being an Excel user for decades now and using it in mostly everwhere. Excel became a life saviour for those who works with data regularly. As a employ with own business aside it helps me to cop up with both the datas. And makes it super easy to work with . The sorting, importing and integration with other softwares make it the best for data handeling. I used to integrate it with decisionrules, mailchimp and with many other softwares and the whole functioning is so smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing to dislike about as its an important software to manage things and data, and if i have to find one then it will be it regualar updation of his interface which sometimes make it little hard and messy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Excel is very useful for storing small amounts of data. We can save data in many formats, such as CSV and others. I have been using it for the last 4 years, and it is easy to manipulate data using functions like Vlookup, Pivo Table & Power Query. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Excel is that it has a limited number of rows and columns. We can't store large amounts of data in it otherwise it starts to lag and doesn't work properly. It is not suitable for storing big data, as large datasets come with big file sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
