Microsoft OneDrive lets your team easily work togther on Office files like Word and Excel at the same time. You can securely access all your work from any computer, tablet, or phone. Plus it gives you lots of storage and keeps your file safe by saving previous versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft OneDrive file syncing can be slow and unreliable at times causing confusion about which version of a file is the most current one.The search function doesn't always make it easy to find what you're looking for quickly. Additionally its strict file naming rules and sometimes complicated settings can be frustrating for everyday users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I appreciate most about OneDrive for Business is its real-time and seamless integration with Microsoft 365 tools like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. It makes file sharing and team collaboration feel effortless, especially when working across departments or locations.
One of the most valuable features for me is the automatic file syncing across devices. It’s fast, reliable, and ensures that I never have to worry about manually saving or transferring files. The version history has been a lifesaver more than once, letting me quickly restore earlier versions of documents when needed.
Working in the 3D printing industry, I often deal with large design files that need to be shared internally and externally. OneDrive handles these files smoothly, without the delays or size limitations I’ve experienced with other tools. It’s replaced the need for temporary file transfer services—now everything stays in one place and is easy to access anytime.
The interface is clean and user-friendly, even for team members who aren’t very tech-savvy. The setup was also straightforward. Since we already use Microsoft 365, getting started with OneDrive was basically plug-and-play—just log in and start working.
I use OneDrive daily as a central hub for my work files, whether I’m in the office or working remotely. When I’ve needed help, Microsoft’s support has been reliable, and most issues have been resolved quickly either through their help articles or direct assistance. Though integration with Microsoft apps is usually solid, there are occasional hiccups—for example, opening Excel or Word files from OneDrive sometimes causes temporary freezes or fails to load the file on the first try.
Also, syncing large folders—especially ones with many subfolders—can be hit or miss. I’ve had instances where files just wouldn't sync properly or took too long, and I had to pause and restart the sync client to get things back on track.
The web interface works, but I wouldn’t call it user-friendly when managing a lot of files. Simple tasks like moving multiple files, renaming in bulk, or updating access settings can get tedious. It’s not a dealbreaker, but definitely an area where I’d like to see improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. It has huge space upto 5TB because of which your local drive space is saved.
2. You can store all your files and recordings from calls here and access them from anywhere, no need to have physical copies.
3. It is very easy to search files using the categories - Media, Meeting and people names.
4. Whenever a recording is getting deleted after its default storage time and you don't want to lose it , you can easily restore it as you are notified and it moves in to recycle bin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike anything about it, just that with AI coming in place, it should help to re-organize files and recording in a better way with less effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OneDrive is very useful and convenient when working with all types of files as it allows me to save them and then open them from another computer and it also keeps me from using up storage on my work laptop. It is well intergrated on the work PC and easy to use. I do use it every day at work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't really anything I would say I dislike, there is always room for improvement however. Sometime I do not want to save to OneDrive but the program will try to insist that I do. I then have to choose a new location such as Desktop, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When it comes to business Microsoft One drive helps a lot to store all the data which is needed for any individual to support the business and good thing is it can be retrived seamlessly without any issues especially when we don't have fixed work station it makes huge differenec, The day we started using One-drive we never store any data in our local systems we store everything in drive also it payes major role when our work station or Laptops gets refreshed that time we no need to worry of data, as with one click of sign-in to newer machine all the data will be in place also it's adherence to all the security as well, and it will keep data always sync from local to online. Overall I highly recommend this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What we observed is sometime special characters in filenames and extended paths provide delays in syncing and rarely it disrupt the flow of data sync. When we store any bigger files automatically bandwidth reduces while sync may be some more improvements needed over there also single sign on also keep logout frequently may be each time we need to refresh it,Also ones license expires they will keep data for longer time so risk fo loosing data if we dont renew on-time.Performance related issues we see here and there but not too much. OneDrive for Business provides seamless integration with MS 365 ecosystem which makes it easy for our team to manage and share work files with stakeholders. It also enhances a collaborative work environment by providing real time collaboration features. The file recovery options and version history feature has helped us quite a view times during the accidental deletion or overwriting of files. We use it on a daily basis in our work and the user friendly UI provides an easy implementation across all the Microsoft apps and tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While dealing with large files there are some instances when the files don't sync easily and take a lot more time to reflect the changes made by users. Also the customer support can be better as the issue resolution takes a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Microsoft OneDrive for Business daily to back up users data. From time to time our users laptops break down and this service allows us to back up data without second thought. We like that the service has automatic data backup.
As it comes preinstalled on our Windows machines the ease of use is superb. The software is integrated very well into Microsoft's eco system that you practically don't notice its presence until you need it! OneDrive has saved us headaches multiple times when laptops are in need of replacement.
The ability to collaborate within documents and see changes in real time is highly valued by the teams in our office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it can be difficult manage files, in case the storage has reached its limit we have problems when trying to delete files or free up space.
At other times, files don't sync. We've seen most of these problems on mac devices so it might be a problem related to Apple devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an all-in-one cloud solution, especially for people with multiple computers, it's great because it's easy to ensure all computers (two laptops at two different locations) are synced. I can seamlessly access my documents and desktop items no matter which computer I use. It's more than frequently used, it's used on an ongoing basis and easily integrates into my life. I haven't sought customer support yet because there has not been a need. As far as implementation goes, it integrates seamlessly without much setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you are setting this up and accessing it on multiple devices it creates duplicate documents and folder and more, making initial setup a nightmare. There are also ongoing issues with accessing documents. if OneDrive isn't functioning properly, I can create a document, save it to my desktop, and not be able to access it. Why does this happen? I have no idea and neither does my MIS department. I have to try to access it from my other computer or open in Microsoft online and if I'm uploading documents to a SharePoint site, the access issues continue for these documents making them appear corrupted. They appear to upload but no one can access them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OneDrives integration has been greatly improved since their first offerings. They've made it a lot simpler. I'm not wrestling with GPOs. We love that we can backup the documents folder and the desktop. I'm sure there are others that we could also do if needed. This has been great for issuing new hardware and swapping out machines. Also the versioning has saved a few people over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've run into sync issues and untrained users at times. Older clients for Mac had an issue where clearing something on the client, could wipe out an entire directory. We ran into that once when someone used onedrive to sync down a sharepoint site. I've only seen it happen once, but it stays with you to double check what you are doing. Files on Desktop, Documents, and Pictures can now be redirected and placed in OneDrive. This then is available on all devices and removes the need to redirect and protect personal data on network drives. OneDrive takes care of backups and versioning with the added benefit that any corruption due to ransomware can be undone by reverting to older versions. OneDrive can be the CenterPoint of all file storage but adding shortcuts to other SharePoint or teams sites to logically separate files avoiding the need for legacy file servers. Intune Policies can easily be deployed allowing the ease of implementation to be quick of these features. Our Users use OneDrive on a Daily Basis, The Remote users have confidence that files saved into OneDrive are protected, even if not on VPN Connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does take a little time to setup, and a Limit of size per user is worth monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
