What do you like best about Tableau?

It's super visual and intuitive – I can build meaningful dashboards without heavy coding.

Drag-and-drop feels natural – It makes data exploration feel more like storytelling than technical work.

Quick insight discovery – I can connect data and instantly spot patterns or trends.

Professional yet flexible – Whether it's for internal analysis or client-ready reports, Tableau adapts easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Complex logic gets messy fast – When calculations or filters get too layered, it becomes hard to manage or troubleshoot.

Performance drops with big data – Dashboards slow down noticeably when working with large datasets or many filters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

It simplifies messy data – Tableau helps me clean and make sense of scattered or inconsistent data without needing complex code.

It turns data into clear stories – Instead of just numbers, I can build visual dashboards that actually show what’s going on.

Faster decision-making – I don't have to wait days for reports — insights are almost real-time, which helps teams act quicker.

Bridges the gap between data and non-data folks – Even people without a data background can explore and understand dashboards easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

You can pull a comprehensive set of agent metrics into one place—performance, solved rate, star ratings, SPH, etc.—without needing to chase it down in separate tools. The ability to export to Excel gives you control to slice and analyze the data how you want—even if it’s frustrating at times. You’re likely managing a lot of agents, and Tableau can handle large data sets, even if it’s not real-time. It's built for big-picture views across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Data lags behind, which means you can’t act on issues immediately. By the time agents see results (if they do), the moment to improve may have already passed. Even though you can export data easily, you have to spend time editing it in Excel—filtering, cleaning, formatting—just to make it usable. This defeats the point of an automated tool and adds to your workload. If data sources aren’t perfectly maintained, the dashboard can break or display errors, leaving you stuck or reliant on another team to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Problem: Agent performance data lives in multiple systems (e.g., Medallia, CRM, internal platforms).

Solution: Tableau consolidates this data into one centralized view, so you're not wasting time digging through systems.

Problem: Raw numbers in spreadsheets are hard to interpret and communicate.

Solution: Tableau turns metrics into graphs, charts, and dashboards, making trends and outliers easy to see.

Problem: Creating recurring reports from scratch is time-consuming.

Solution: Tableau lets you build repeatable dashboards that update on a schedule or refresh with new data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

1. Unlike PowerBI's DAX , tableau's fomula language is a bit easier to construct and understand.

2. Large data are easily managed by tabealu where as powerbi might struggle with large quantum of data.

3. Visulization variety is more, one can develop visually intuitive visulization/ dashboards.

4. Documentation is extensive for the software and the tableau community is strong, any doubts can be clarified easily.

5. Can be used easily for Daily management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

1. There is learning curve to learn the tool

2. Unlike PowerBI integration in the Microsoft 365 environment, Tableau's integration in other software is limited (in fact in most cases it is null)

3. Tableau Liscence is expesive, I only learn Tableau bacause my organization wanted to use Tabelau. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Tableau helps in simplifying complex data through interactive dashboards and visuals that makes patterns the trend easy to see.

2. Real time data analysis and dynamic dashboard are biggest advantages of the tool.

3. Faster decision for problems, since management can see the latest data and trend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau dashboards are simple to use and make data exploration a whole lot easier. It supports a wide range of data sources, making it simple for me to create visualisations with multiple points of information. Drag-and-drop capability simplifies chart generation, and even complicated dashboards are simple to explore and customise. Tableau's interactive dashboards provide stakeholders with complete control over how they explore data. Tableau makes it easier to provide live updates and share reports with the community. It also works well on browsers and on mobile devices, making it easy to access from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau does not offer an AI assistant to walk you through difficult queries, and the learning curve is high for beginners. Working with large data sets has a negative impact on performance. In terms of pricing, PowerBI appears to be less expensive than Tableau. It is inconvenient to distribute dashboards outside of the Tableau environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau helps to tackle the problem of delayed and unclear data access. Before Tableau, I had to manually retrieve data from numerous sources and convert it to a standardized format for visualization. I can filter and examine it independently because Tableau supports data from several sources. As a result, I am less reliant on others, have more time, and am more productive. Additionally, it has greatly facilitated my ability to handle vast volumes of data, enabling me to make data-driven decisions more quickly and confidently. Also, the dashboard sharing function has improved my collaboration with my colleagues and made it easier to work on projects together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

Because of the broad spectrum of out-of-the-box tools like Prep or Licensed Data Management, as well as the MANY integrations with popular (or not-so-popular) third party tools, Tableau can seamlessly integrate into any workflow, regardless of how complex, old school, minimal, or basic your data pipeline might be.

Additionally, the community of users is a built-in support network for your analysts. If you don’t have an in-house expert on a particular topic, community user groups, and the new slack workspace are great ways to find insight on how to approach different topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

There isn’t much to dislike. When you are completely integrated with Tableau, down servers or other tech hiccups can really halt your workflow, but that is the case with any tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is democratizing data for us. From virtual connections to transformations in prep, Tableau is enabling us to put data directly into the hands of our analysts to do what they know to do best! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

1. Easy to Use, Even for Beginners:

Tableau has a drag-and-drop interface, which means you don’t need to be a coding expert to create beautiful charts and dashboards.

You can quickly connect to data, choose what you want to see, and Tableau does the hard work of building the visuals.

2. Beautiful Visualizations:

Tableau makes it easy to create interactive and eye-catching graphs, maps, and dashboards.

The visuals are clean and professional, making it easier to tell stories with your data.

3. Fast Data Analysis:

With Tableau, you can explore large datasets quickly.

You can filter, sort, and drill down into your data in real-time, which helps you find insights much faster than using spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

What I Dislike About Tableau –

Tableau can be quite expensive, especially for small businesses or individuals. The licensing fees for Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server add up quickly.

While basic visualizations are easy, more advanced analytics, calculations, or customizations can be tricky and require learning Tableau’s specific formulas and logic.

Tableau can sometimes be slow or laggy when working with very large datasets or complex dashboards, unless you have powerful hardware or optimize your data sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Making Sense of Complex Data

2. Speeding Up Data Analysis

3. Enabling Data-Driven Decisions

Problem:

4. Combining Data from Multiple Sources

What do you like best about Tableau?

What I like best about Tableau is how effortlessly it turns raw data into meaningful visuals. Even without complex coding, I can build interactive dashboards that actually help in understanding patterns and making faster decisions. The flexibility with different data sources is a big plus too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

While Tableau is powerful, it can sometimes feel a bit heavy when working with very large datasets. Also, some features—like advanced calculations or formatting—have a bit of a learning curve and could be more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau is solving the challenge of turning complex, scattered data into accessible, actionable insights. As an administrator, it helps me manage data governance, user access, and performance optimization efficiently. I can ensure the right people have the right level of access, and maintain system reliability. As a consultant, it enables me to quickly build and customize dashboards for clients, tailor visualizations to their business needs, and help them make data-driven decisions. The ability to connect to multiple data sources and deliver interactive reports saves a lot of time and adds real value to both internal teams and external clients. Tableau provides all data i need about my account /Customer’s performance in one place. Previously i had to search and gather the data from multiple systems.

Also, the data is well organized and i can retrieve graphs tables and charts from the platform saving me significant time.

The least helpful feature about sift is it´s offline function, when you change the offline button, you still need to click the logout button, too much a hassle for us employees especially if it´s already out of working hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefits of this tool is that it allows the company to monitor your status whenever you are changing task, it benefits me to

What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau is popular and high rated BI tool used in Professional Business.

I like tableau's data connection capability as it can connect to multiple data sources i.e. flat files, databases, cloud servers etc.

It is rich in visual charts as compare to other BI tools.

Customer support is also good and I do like the GUI of tableau.

No coding is required to use this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau license is expensive therefore many user are not able to use it.

Also, it require basic understanding how we can create visuals as it does not directly provide many visuals.

Free version of tableau has limited charts available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have used tableau in my professional work i.e. I have transformed the raw and less usable data into a cleaned and ready to used data in tableau prep, which further used in creating effective dashboard for business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
