ActiveCampaign offers a robust and intuitive platform for email marketing and automation. I especially appreciate how easy it is to build advanced automation workflows with multiple triggers and actions. The CRM functionality is well-integrated and helps align marketing and sales efforts effectively. The visual automation builder, contact segmentation options, and detailed reporting features make campaign management much more efficient. It’s also great that the platform continues to roll out updates and improvements regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the platform is feature-rich, the initial setup can be a bit overwhelming for new users due to the many options and technical settings. Some parts of the interface feel slightly outdated compared to newer tools, and the learning curve can be steep for those unfamiliar with marketing automation. Additionally, the reporting dashboard could benefit from more customization options to better tailor insights to different business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Active Campaign is a tool that can adapt to my business and I use it daily. This is reflected not only in the various subscription models but also in the diverse functionalities. When I started my online business, my main goal was to send out a newsletter. I've since automated a large part of the customer journey, and in the future, I want to explore additional features, such as CRM.
I'm very happy with how well AC works with other tools (Integrations), such as Thrive Cart, and I've only had positive experiences with customer service so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially, there was a subscription for absolute business starters for a very small budget. I'd like to see that back. My clients are initially intimidated by the powerful tool, but I also think it's particularly suitable for beginners. However, the investment should be as low as possible, since they don't generate much revenue in the beginning. How about a stipend for business starters for the first six months? ActiveCampaign’s honestly just made my life easier. The platform’s really easy to use, so setting up campaigns doesn’t feel like a chore. The automations are a total game-changer — they save so much time and just run in the background doing their thing. I love how easy it is to design nice-looking emails and add personal touches without needing to overthink it. Since using it, I’ve definitely noticed better conversion rates, and the analytics help me actually understand what’s working. It’s been such a key part of growing both my own business and my clients’ — I always recommend it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ActiveCampaign is great, but there are definitely a few things that could be better. Some of the email templates feel a bit outdated — it’d be nice to see a more modern selection. The pricing can also get a bit steep as your contact list grows, so a bit more flexibility there would be amazing. I also wish there was phone support for the Lite and Plus plans — sometimes you just want to speak to someone instead of going back and forth on chat. It’s also missing built-in landing page tools, which would be super handy. And depending on your time zone, the limited support hours can be a bit frustrating. That said, it’s still a solid platform — just a few tweaks would take it to the next level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about ActiveCampaign is how powerful and intuitive the automation builder is. It’s easy to create complex workflows that actually make sense, and the visual layout helps me map out customer journeys clearly. I also appreciate how seamlessly email marketing, CRM, and site tracking are integrated—it’s everything I need in one place without feeling bloated. Plus, their support team is responsive and genuinely helpful, which makes a big difference when you're managing campaigns on a deadline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel like we do not use it to our fullest capacity and do not know how to because of the nature of our B2B- and there doesn't appear to be a way to have someone come in and build it/teach it to us. We really need like an expert to show us the whole shabang and help us design it correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like the most is how easy it is to create automations. It has a quite intuitive interface, the drag-and-drop editor helps a lot, and you don't need to be an expert to get everything working well. Additionally, it gives you a lot of control over how and when emails are sent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes some advanced features can be a bit confusing at first. And if you don't have prior experience, it may take you some time to understand the full potential of the tool. Also, the plans can become a bit expensive if you have many contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ActiveCampaign is a very powerful platform for e-mail and other digital marketing. With the platform, I am able to deliver the right messages to the right segment of customers. It's powerful and easy to understand all at once. The platform out of the box includes all the integrations you need for full service e-mail marketing. Different plans and upgrades allow you to use text messaging, on-site messaging, and other features. When dealing with outside services, there is always an ActiveCampaign integration, which is especially important if you maintain a large stack of technologies. Customer service is excellent and account reps regularly reach out to help me make the best of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The e-mail designer is finicky and doesn't come with any good way of merging in content from a database (to auto-populate campaigns). This would be very useful since a lot of the content in my campaigns is actually created elsewhere. So we do a lot of copying and pasting, where I feel that shouldn't be necessary. The new e-mail designer exhibits some strange behavior, like not saving changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I can create email chains that potential new clients are always being added into. I don't have to manage one-off sends or worry about if the new contacts know who we are! They're making their way through the email automation I've designed over a year ago! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it was easier to tell who the hot leads were based on clicks, high opens, etc. It's a little hard to remember how to create actions that turn these into Google Sheets reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to use, steep learning curve, automation workflow works very well once you are used to the platformActiveCampaign offers a perfect balance between power and usability. The automation builder is incredibly visual and intuitive, making it easy to create even complex workflows. I also love the flexibility in tagging, list segmentation, and integration with tools like Calendly, Google Sheets, and Zapier. For the price point, it's simply unbeatable. Customer support is generally fast and helpful, but when issues require engineering-level support, resolution can take a bit longer. Also, it would be great to have more native integrations or better webhooks documentation, but nothing critical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ActiveCampaign, first, is very easy to use. It takes no time to set up an account and add members. There are a wide variety of templates and other tools for any business, and the help center is extensive, offering tutorials for when you get stuck. It's easy to integrate with other tools and track statistics in a variety of ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be confusing at times and does have a learning curve for some of the tools and resources they offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that AC is easy to use, great automations, easy import and updating contacts, and I love that they seamlessly integrate with everything! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The new pricing! I used to be able to recommend clients to them because of their awesome tool and great price point. But now they did away with their entry level, they gutted basic, so now they charge 5x as much for their former basic plan! So now I can’t recommend them.
PLUS they tried to back door triple price increase some of my clients to the point that I told everyone to abandon ship. I can’t trust them to do right by my clients and now I’m double checking mine and everyone else’s account to make sure they don’t try it again. SO DISAPPOINTING!
