I’ve been using Stripe Payments for a while now, and what really stands out is the simplicity. The setup was quick, the interface is clean and intuitive, and everything just works. I can track payments, issue refunds, and manage everything from one central dashboard without needing to dig through layers of menus or support articles.
It’s also incredibly easy to integrate into websites and platforms – whether you're selling a service, product, or ticket, Stripe makes it seamless. I’ve tried a few other providers in the past, but none matched the straightforward, no-fuss experience that Stripe offers.
Highly recommend for any small business owner who values ease of use and clarity when it comes to payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I don’t like about Stripe is the way it handles reporting and historical transactions. It’s far too complex if you’re trying to go back and reconcile past payouts with your bank account. The data is all there, but pulling out a clear, simple record of what’s been paid, when, and how it ties to specific transactions isn’t straightforward. For a small business, I just want to match payouts with customer payments and understand what each amount relates to – but Stripe makes that harder than it should be. We use Stripe payments through FreshBooks to secure payment from our clients for services rendered. It's a quick and easy link we can use to send to our clients to pay instantly. They provide a comprehensive breakdown of the total amount of funds received, the fees, and the net deposit into our bank account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing to dislike about the stripe all is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Stripe is a trusted solution for SaaS vendors but more importantly is trusted by most customers. Customers know that their payment information is kept secured and that Stripe team can help in case of litigation with us.
Getting started is quick and the "simulation" mode allows the users to test multiple scenarios.
The ability to deal with numerous currencies and payment systems is clearly a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost, it's expensive, the percentage taken on each transaction, the exchange rate for foreign currencies, even if it doesn't seem much at start can quickly become a burden.
Even if getting started is quick, customizing the solution soon requires the use of command lines. Business team alone won't be able to be the sole user, tech must also be involved each time some modification is needed. I don't talk here about the integration with our own SaaS, but adjusting some payment options can't simply be done via the Stripe console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially, Stripe offered more functionality compared to alternatives, with built-in credit card processing and comprehensive API documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their API fails constantly, causing subscription renewals to fail. These failures happen either due to API glitches or because customer banks flag Stripe transactions as fraudulent. When these issues occur, Stripe simply redirects us to the customers' banks instead of handling the problem themselves, despite us paying them a percentage specifically for handling payment processing. When I point out that we're paying them a percentage to solve these issues, they just respond with BS and internal policies. Meanwhile, we're losing clients due to these problems they refuse to address.
Their handling of disputes is another major issue. When customers dispute charges through their banks, even with all proper documentation (Terms of Service, refund policies with customer acceptance proof, and customer activity logs), Stripe provides no real support. This contrasts sharply with PayPal, where all payments were covered by their insurance as long as you provided supporting documents.
While Stripe's support responds within minutes, their assistance is worthless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Extremely easy to use! The back end is also very intuitive, for the most part, and it's easy to see what payments you've received and their status. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They don't make it easy for bookkeepers to reconcile payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is pretty easy to use. They have the option of just sending links or they can email the invoice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customers need to be added in order to have their credit card information. The searching isnt the best. It isnt so clear how many recurring payments. It doesnt integrate the different options so well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Transparent pricing and no long-term contract. Works with our database platform - CondoControl. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't yet learned how to use it well. Pricing, can be a bit lower specially when are small transactions of $25 or $15 as we do have such payments. $2.38 per transaction is a bit high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since we are a SAAS based company, its recurring billing and subscriptions feature is amazing and very helpful for global transactions. We have integrated it with our system and it works smoothly for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their customer support system is 24/7 available, but we sometimes face delay Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to set up and start using. The payment system is actively evolving and introducing many innovative services that are convenient for businesses, aiming to create a one-stop solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They can block your account without providing any explanation, and in such cases, technical support does not respond at all. You have no idea why your account was blocked, and there’s nothing you can do about it. This results in financial losses and disrupts all work processes.
I recommend connecting an additional payment system as a backup in case of a block. We use the fraud prevention service Radar, and since its implementation, account blocks have not occurred anymore. However, it is quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
