As a real estate agency operating in Mauritius, Zoho Invoice has proven to be an invaluable tool for managing our billing process with efficiency and professionalism. From creating VAT-compliant invoices to issuing sales receipts and quotations for property transactions, the system is both flexible and robust.

One of the standout features is its seamless integration with Zoho Books, allowing us to sync invoices with our accounting records, track payments in real time, and generate detailed financial reports. We also appreciate the multi-bank support, which lets us clearly present our account details across different banks (Absa and MCB in our case) directly on the invoices.

The ability to automate reminders, customize layouts with our branding, and include detailed property descriptions (such as plot numbers, location, and agency commission breakdowns) enhances the client experience and reduces manual follow-ups.

What do you like best about Zoho Invoice?

I used to like Zoho Invoice. I paid for multiple users in my previous business because it was easy to use and integrated well with the project management tools I relied on. It did the job - simple, effective, and streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Invoice?

I've just started a new business and have clients in both the UK and the U.S. Here's the problem: you can no longer change a client's currency. Zoho now wants you to upgrade to their Zoho Billing tool for that - calling multi-currency support an "advanced feature." Seriously?

That's not a feature - it’s a basic necessity in a global business environment. You’ve deliberately switched it off in Zoho Invoice, which makes it completely redundant for anyone working internationally.

Here's what Zoho Invoice now says:

"Check out Zoho Billing, our end-to-end billing solution for multi-currency support and other advanced features."

Sorry, but no - "multi-currency support" is not an advanced feature. It's something you used to allow, and now you're locking it behind another upgrade.

Rule number one in marketing: build loyalty. You've now broken that. I'll be moving all my other Zoho services elsewhere. You've wasted my time.

What problems is Zoho Invoice solving and how is that benefiting you?

Currently, none. It used to help streamline invoicing and integrate with my project management workflow, which was useful. But now that it doesn’t allow multi-currency support without upgrading to another product, it's solving zero problems for my business. What do you like best about Zoho Invoice?

I love that they have a free plan for individuals like me. Their invoicing has transformed the way I work. Everything is easy to do, UI is simple but functional. Nothing gets in the way of doing my thing. Although I use it only for monthly invoicing but it still is a big part of my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Invoice?

Managing client billing became quite difficult when I was relying solely on Google Sheets. As the number of clients I worked with increased, tracking payments, sending reminders, and organizing invoices in spreadsheets turned into a cumbersome task. Zoho Invoice effectively solved this problem by providing a dedicated platform that automated and organized the entire billing process, making it much more manageable and saving me significant time as my freelance practice grew. What do you like best about Zoho Invoice?

I liked the interface and how easy it was to set up things and the little guide that was included for each module was helpful. Loved that it was easily integrated with Gmail and the notifications were almost instantaneous. Loved the fact that certain features could be recurring without having to do everything from scratch. What do you dislike about Zoho Invoice?

What do you like best about Zoho Invoice?

Even the free account has a proffessional, polished looking invoice at the end. A client actually complimented me on it! In future, I'd like to get the paid account and customize the invoice to match my brand.

I like that I can create a client account (they even get a portal) so that I can easily select them, get their information autofilled into the invoice, and keep track of their payments.

I also appreciate that I can mark an invoice paid if they choose a different payment method, and also that I can offer payment through zoho. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Invoice?

I wish there was an "hours" setting that I could replace "units" with. I'm not selling goods, but hours of services. It feels a little bit off and I hope clients don't notice it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The bigest benefit is that it automatically makes new invoice numbers. I don't have to worry about forgetting and accidentily sending out two invoices with the same number. What do you like best about Zoho One?

I like that Zoho One provides a myriad of software tools that replaces many of the tools I was paying for. And the Zoho One subscription is significantly less than the sum of the others. It's My CRM (replacing HubSpot); form/survey gen (replacing JotForm); campaign manager (replacing MailChimp); mailbox (replacing Outlook), an invoicing system (replacing Freshbooks), an electronic signature system (which I didn't have before) and recently found its social media hub (replacing Promo Republic). Seems like when I have a need, I simply check to see if Zoho One has it covered and more often than not, the answer is YES!! Plus the tools are integrated with each other so no need for Zapier. It seems each tool has its own support team and tracking down an answer has been challenging. Sometimes there's chat support, sometimes not. Would like to have some consistency here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The lead management process is frustrating for B2B companies. Zoho’s requirement to map a “Last Name” for all leads, even when only working with companies, leads to inefficient workarounds. As a B2B business, I source company details, not individual contacts, and Zoho's CRM doesn't provide a proper solution for mapping company information efficiently.
