"Revolutionizing RevOps with Unmatched AI and Seamless Data Integration"
What do you like best about Clay?

As a RevOps Strategist with an expert-level proficiency in Excel, I am absolutely floored by how much more efficient my workflow has become since integrating Clay Labs into our tech stack. The AI assistant is not just a game-changer; it’s a revolution in productivity. I can simply instruct it to create a complex similarity score to compare two columns, and within seconds, the formula is drafted and finely tuned, saving me countless hours of manual configuration. This is just the tip of the iceberg—Clay’s ability to seamlessly integrate with any data source connected to the internet means that our GTM strategy is always informed by real-time, accurate data. The AI assistant within Clay has turned what used to be a labor-intensive task into a streamlined, automated process, allowing our team to focus on strategy rather than getting bogged down in the weeds of data manipulation. What do you dislike about Clay?

Honestly, there’s very little to dislike about Clay. If I had to nitpick, it would be that the sheer depth and breadth of its capabilities can be overwhelming at first. However, with a little time and the excellent customer support team, this quickly becomes a non-issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best enrichment tool on the market"
What do you like best about Clay?

Provides the most accurate data by using multiple providers so it has improved our reachability a great deal. Has the feel of a spreadsheet so quite easy to get up and running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

Can go through credits very quickly if you don't know what you are doing. It can become expensive very quickly and there is only pricing relief in terms of cost per credit on the highest plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best prospecting tool and very powerful"
What do you like best about Clay?

Really powerful data tools, I love being able to combine all the sources of data while prospecting. The enrichment is amazing. Also the AI copy writing tools are great, they take some upfront investment but are worth it. Generally, so easy to use and get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

Nothing I dislike, but I wish it was easier to integrate with my CRM and LinkedIn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Impossible to use, waste of time"
What do you like best about Clay?

Support seem to be helpful and responsive but I shouldn't have to be speaking with them so often. I used Cognism before and it was far better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

It is so complex, so much so that I am put off using it. It takes so much time to get anywhere, and I still haven't gotten any benefit from the tool. It is incredibly frustrating to have a prospecting tool that wastes so much of my time trying to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clay is the new Slay!"
What do you like best about Clay?

Its a whole package in itself, can help you do A-Z in all the data work. From scarping and enriching lead data to sending super personalised email campaigns, it does it all. I also love how it allows you to integrate with your existing techstack for free too so that we dont waste double credits here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

Can be more on the costlier side when it comes to actual credit usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clay is a tool to increase efficiency."
What do you like best about Clay?

Clay is a good tool made for sales to optimize their time and enhance efficiency in the outbound sales process.

What I like most about Clay is that it is a tool that works quickly, has a good, accurate database, and can be integrated with another tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

The interface looks like a spreadsheet, which is not bad, but it would be better to have something more explicit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"If Google Sheets and Zapier had a baby specialized in outbound sales"
What do you like best about Clay?

It's google sheets but with easier ways to connect apis.

the ecosystem and the APIs available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

The clay credits are overpriced. They're not valuable over using the API key directly.

I don't use Clay for the credits, I use clay for the features and the amazing company and people search.

The credits could make sense if the model was that I pay a percentage of the price more.

For example if using Dropcontact through clay credits only costs 5% more, then yes it makes sense. Because it allows me to not have to create an account with them, etc, etc...

Sometimes a clay credit is 10x more expensive than its API counterpart. And this is ridiculous.

Despite all of this. Clay is a game changer and will disrupt the world of No-code outbound sales, and probably more than that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Superpowers for so much - account research, list building, contact data, waterfalls, data quality"
What do you like best about Clay?

Things I do with Clay that I could not before:

- automatically run Google Search enrichment row by row to identify company domains (e.g. I have a list of company name and industry but no domain, can't do much with that, enrich with Google Search and pull out first URL)

- waterfall phone number outputs from multiple enrichment providers and use ChatGPT integration to hunt for repeating numbers

- find company linkedin url from company domain

Incredible number of features, super easy to get going and quick to implement, amazing customer support, integrates with sooooo many tools.

I use Clay almost daily and know many excellent people who build their business entirely off of capabilities they get only with Clay.

The main question you probably have right now is - what IS Clay?

Imagine a spreadsheet connected to tons of data vendors, CRMs, sequencers, ChatGPT, and other tools, that lets you operate IN the sheet to build lists, enrich records, lookup records, reformat records, etc. etc. etc.

I ALMOST don't need Google Sheets for list building at all. Almost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

It's an early product with some nooks and crannies that could always be improved - more templates would go a long way. But there's so much value disproportionate to pricing.

I do wish it would flag dupes before I run an enrich but that's on me for missing it too.

HubSpot integration has a few bugs but they're working with me on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A game changer for any kind of audience research, list building, etc"
What do you like best about Clay?

The way Clay has aggregated dozens of different data sources all inside of one platform is a complete game changer for any audience building, list building, prospect research, etc. Previously, a typical workflow might've been researching on LinkedIn/ZoomInfo, pulling in data from multiple sources, and generally fudging around in spreadsheets. With Clay, you can build high-level lists super quickly, enrich them to your heart's content with data from tons of sources, and then use that data to filter down, build messaging using AI, etc.

The most remarkable thing about Clay is how flexible it is -- I couldn't even begin to hit on all the features, but if you do any kind of person or company-level research or list building, this needs to be in your stack.

Beyond that, it integrates with a ton of different tools -- I haven't even had a chance to review all the potential integrations we could be taking better advantage of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clay?

Clay is genuinely such an incredible tool, and their team is building new features so quickly that it's hard to call out anything to dislike -- in the 1 or 2 times I've had a bug or issue, I've posted it in their internal Slack channel, and the team has built a new feature or fixed the bug in seemingly no time at all.

If I had to really think of a critique, I think it would be that it can in some cases be quite easy to burn a lot of credits quickly without realizing it. Especially if you're pulling in a ton of different data sources. With that in mind, it could be helpful to have 'credit estimates' or 'maximum credit usage' for a given run to help mitigate that.
