I don't like that when entering an invoice in the AP module, there is a field for Date and GL Posting Date. While the content in Sage University is great, the platform itself is very clunky and frustrating to use. It is very annoying that you cannot save a journal entry in the middle of processing it unless the debits and credits balance. It is also annoying whenever I get timed out and logged off immediately. One drawback we've encountered with Sage Intacct is that the permissions system can be quite complex and difficult to navigate. There are times when the system doesn’t align perfectly with our internal controls or business processes. While Sage Intacct is very capable, we’ve occasionally had to create manual workarounds when the platform couldn’t accommodate certain workflows out of the box. It would be great if the system allowed for more flexibility without the need for those extra steps. That said, we’ve always been able to find a way to make it work. Sage intacct helps me to know more information on vendors. It helps me to know the different bills processed in that particular client entity. It helps me to download reports. It has a Purchasing module that helps me in processing Purchase order bills. It has a multi-currency module which helps us to know if that client is enabled with multi-currency. I like the easiest presentation of Reports that is readable by a new user and makes data management easy for us. I am using this for the analysis of financial reports. I dislike nothing much as of now but yes the improvement scope is there in some of the reports as there is an AP Vendor Metrics Report that does not give accurate dates for modification of the vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sage Intacct has allowed us to streamline almost every account process we had to do in other software systems. It has eliminated the need for paper and filing cabinets: automated Company credit card systems, ACH Payments, and Automated Budgeting through integration with Martus. During COVID, we would not have all been able to work remotely in Finance without Sage Intacct. The bank reconciliation process is complete within 5 days of the month's close. We create a robust Purchase Order process with multiple levels of approvals. It's extremely user friendly navigating around the different modules. The reporting functions are very good being able to build your own reports is very useful. How easily integrated with other software is also a huge positive for our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few work arounds which makes processes longer then they need to be like having to post a supplier or customer refund as an adjustment, rather then direct to their account.
I also find when looking at payment/ invoice allocations, it's not very clear to see at all. Having to navigate to different screens to make sense of what invoice has been allocated to which payment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The intercompany features for multiple entities run really smooth and allow for easy reconciliations.
The creation rules on the banking saves ample time each month.
The ability to edit and delete journals within the open accounting period keeps the ledgers looking tidy.
The Dashboard functionality gives our budget holders a live feed of their finances which saves us time in producing reports and they then have access to their data whenever they need it.

Some of the bank posting types don't make sense such as we can't post a supplier refund directly to the supplier account we had to put together a work-around.
The finance report functions take a bit of getting used to and are a bit complicated, which is fine if you use reporting all the time but if you don't it can be hard to follow.

Sage Intaact offers very good accounting features. One of the best things about it is how user-friendly the interface is—within some time you will get use to it. Easy to use and easy to remember.
