* I like the chat feature in customer support, so that I don't have to wait for a reply to email. * API Integration is reliable and saves SO much time. * It was easy to implement - we had an implementation specialist who helped us configure to our needs. * It is easy for the execs to approve by email. *Checks do not have remittance (specify the Invoice#s) which is needed for those vendors who do not check the email remittance. * I often change vendor IDs which can cause technical issues * We wish that suppliers could have more than one user. * We get 100 free OCR, but it turns out quite a bit of junk mail gets counted against us. Tipalti has been a reliable and efficient solution for our accounts payable processes. One of the standout aspects is their exceptional customer support — their team is consistently quick to respond, and their willingness to resolve issues goes above and beyond. This level of support gives us confidence and peace of mind, especially when dealing with time-sensitive matters.
The integration with NetSuite has also been a major benefit. It streamlines our workflow and significantly reduces manual work, allowing us to save valuable time and focus on more strategic tasks. Additionally, the user interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and train new team members.
Overall, Tipalti has enhanced our AP operations with its strong functionality and dependable support. Highly recommended for teams looking for a seamless and scalable AP solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a couple of areas where we’d love to see improvement. Occasionally, when creating a payment batch with multiple invoices, the batch can be lost if something interrupts the process, requiring us to start over. A “save for later” function would be a great enhancement. Additionally, when our accounting period is locked and approved invoices can’t sync to NetSuite (which is understandable), it would be helpful to have a more efficient way to mass update invoice dates. Currently, we need to retract approval on each invoice individually, adjust the date, and re-approve — a bit time-consuming for monthly cycles.
Overall, Tipalti remains a strong and valuable tool in our AP workflow, and with a few usability enhancements, it could be even better. We’re excited to see how the platform continues to evolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, the payer and payee portals are well designed. The OCR feature works reasonably well. The number of payment options offered is great. In short, a big step forward from our ERP only process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot recommend Tipalti to anyone looking to integration their product with NetSuite. Their integration engineering team delayed our implementation by two months after failing to inform us that there was a known issue when mapping the project/customer transaction line field if you have a significant number of customers. We were only able to move forward after giving up on their support and implementation manager to understand, much less fix the issue.
Further, the product doesn't have minor guardrails to prevent NetSuite integration errors during the 3-way match process. For example, matching multiple bills lines to a single PO line will cause an error. This requires the entire matching/approval process to be redone. Some very modest development work could prevent this.
Finally, after going into our second year with the product, we've had the integration simply fail to run either entirely or for specific records on six separate occasions. Tipalti does not actively monitor their integration jobs and it is up to the customer to notify their support team of any issues. Usually, this takes 3-4 days to be escalated to someone capable of fixing the issue on their engineering team.
Bottom line, if you're on NetSuite you cannot trust that the product will work for you consistently.
There are a number of inconsistencies with the UI design. Every page of the bill processing workflow looks like it was designed by a different team. Additionally, many of the relevant actions are not available when viewing a bill directly. Rather, you must find the bill from the list page to get access to the needed actions.
We struggled to work with our Tipalti implementation manager. He had no project plan for implementation, did not know his project, and was not knowledgable about the NetSuite integration. We had to insist on being assigned a new implementation manager. He was only marginally better organized but we essentially implemented the product ourselves wherever we were able to.
Lastly, charging user licenses for any privileged user is ridiculous for this class of software and should be included in the base price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Tipalti is how effortlessly it handles complex payment workflows, especially for global payouts and royalties. It automates the entire process — from vendor onboarding and tax compliance to accurate, on-time payments — which has significantly reduced manual work and errors. Managing royalty payments used to be time-consuming, but with Tipalti, it’s smooth, reliable, and scalable as we grow. It truly takes the stress out of financial operations. What I dislike about Tipalti is that the interface can feel a bit unintuitive at times, especially when trying to navigate detailed reports or make specific customizations. There’s also a bit of a learning curve initially, and support response times could be faster in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

there is nothing positive except some employees in the integration team, but it's not their fault they work for thieves Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A completely dysfunctional platform. We couldn’t use it even for a single day and immediately requested a refund. Instead, we were told to register on the platform as freelancers and pay the money to ourselves.
This wasn’t possible because the system doesn’t accept European bank details. After multiple explanations, they finally agreed to issue the refund manually but warned it would take a long time. We agreed. A month later, they again told us to register as freelancers. We repeated that we couldn’t - and since then, complete silence.
It has now been six months since we requested the refund. They no longer respond to emails. Our money - just over €3,000 - is gone. Tipalti is unlawfully withholding funds and ignoring all communication. Completely unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money on them. Strongly not recommended. Tipalti seriously changed the game for us. What used to be a mess of emails and spreadsheets is now smooth and super easy. Vendor setup, invoice approvals, and payments all happen in one place, and the whole process feels effortless. It saves us time, keeps things organized, and just works.
Huge shoutout to Brianna for making onboarding a breeze — she was super attentive, quick to answer questions, and made sure everything ran smoothly from day one. We’re never going back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tipalti has made our AP process way more efficient, and overall it's been a great tool — but one area that’s been a bit frustrating is account mapping. Whenever we update our chart of accounts, it can get complicated to sync everything correctly. It’s not always intuitive, and we’ve had to do some manual workarounds to get things to flow properly.
Still love the platform, but hoping future updates make that part more flexible and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UX is good and relatively easy to understand, even for first time users. Approvers seem to like the platform. The ability to adjust approval flows ad-hoc is a real bonus as this is not a common feature for competitors on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently restricted to accounts payable functionality only and would prefer if the solution also addressed virtual cards and physical cards. Would also prefer if they operated via data rails and payments were taken directly from bank, rather than via their wallet - Airbases for example operate over data rails. The ease of importing invoices and the OCR means we save a lot of time. Quick customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no option for processing supplier Credit Notes.
The 'bill reference code' column in the Payments tab on supplier view is useless, should reference the actual invoice number for ease. Shame this can not be customised.
'Mark bill as paid manually' - batch name reverts to Tipalti reference after inputting our own.
When credits are applied to invoice during payment, this does not export to NetSuite meaning that manual application is needed on NS.
Suppliers complain about the payment method they do not understand on their remittance email - 'eCheck' means nothing in the UK - should be 'BACS' or 'Bank Transfer' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Approval process set up and flexibility of redirecting approval flows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Credit notes are not recognised correctly on OCR - Credit notes are not a negative invoice!
Supplier invoice numbers not visible on payment screen- shows Tipalti reference only
Any invoice changes once processed don't flow through well to Netsuite
Very difficult when paying things outside of Tipalti wallet, direct debit for example. Tipalti will automatically post a payment on current date to Netsuite
When a supplier payment is made that comprises of credit notes and invoices, this must be manually applied in Netsuite it does not allocate these
OCR scan is not reliable when using different entities, it is very often wrong and needs manually changing
OCR scan is unreliable when entering vat. It will often scan this as an expense line and then will try to add vat on top of vat!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
