What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

that i can access on any web browers on any divice.

i go to my family member. i ask them for a computer.

i connect on brower. then i have all the informacion in minutes.

i some cases i am traveling on the beach. and i have

mobile app access

and i have all the company information

the apps tha i use most are:

CRM

Invoicing

Sales

Accounting

Project

Inventory

Timesheets

and it is incredible how i got better on the compay

What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

even comparing with other ERP the price is very low.

but for me that i am in COLOMBIA country is very expensive.

tha the emaill limit is for 100 mail a day. we have to hire and external email provider.

when i pay the a suppurt plant.

the metting where every 8 days. i would like daily.

we love the views so that we see information on:

kanban view

list view

map view

activy view

and importing information is very very very grate. it can be done with files excel *.xlx *.xlsx *, text file *.csv

i can map any field.

and the option of field. EXTERNAL ID is so great.

because i can import many times an the information get updating instead of duplicate. i can never imagine a solution that i can import may times.

"Good For Majority of Industries - Not All"

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

The main reason we switched to Odoo over Monday, Quickbooks, and Jobber (what we currently had) was for cohesion as well as overall ease of customization.

We had to have invoices in Jobber sync up for transactions made in Quickbooks which often led to many man hours used in fruitless reconsolidating. Many updates in Jobber had to also be made in Quickbooks. Leads in Monday would be slow after years of documents being uploaded to it.

Switching to Odoo made this a one stop shop for all of our CRM, Accounting, Invoicing, and overall business needs.

Being able to customize the layout of the ERP has been great. There is a learning curve but it is WELL worth the time put in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

As much as I love this system, this is currently not the best for every company, especially those who have to handle many value-add activities. For example, things can overlap each other in the Project app. Sure, you can search and create sub-tasks for each portion of a Sales Order, but there could be a more streamlined look in the UI to make this easier for our Operations team to handle. Maybe we were spoiled with the ease of Monday when it came down to adding project details in a chart that was very easy to view with multiple projects at a time. What problems is Odoo ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving analytical issues with up to date by the minute analytics. This personally helps save me time as an analyst since I have to analyze thousands of SKU's and make decisions on what stock of carpet to buy, while also assisting me in forecasts of design selections and overall projections.

The benefits of this ERP is the synergy of systems, which overall creates an ease of system processing in all departments and thus leading to higher revenue and profit streams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

I like how extensive the fields are for capturing information out of the box (contacts, products, etc) and then our ability to add more fields to capture information specific to our business and how we operate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been able to eliminate so many excel files that we were previously using as databases and now house all of the same information in Odoo. We also have greatly improved our communication within the company by using the notes and tagging users in the different transactional screens (quotes, orders, invoices, etc). "Self implementable ERP with complex UI"

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

Odoo operates with very simple apps that are pretty easy to use "out-of-the-box. It also has a great community that helps find how-to's. I implemented the ERP with very little help from 3rd parties. It also has a pretty thorough localization for Mexico. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

It's UI is pretty difficult to adopt. It can be said that it is retro; looks like Windows 97. Also, many configurations are able to be performed through the Admin but these are not simple. Finally the documentation of the platform is pitiful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Odoo ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our organization consists of 4 companies in 4 countries. We are currently using Odoo ERP for registering all our accounting, performing consolidations, expense logging, generating sales orders and invoices, We also have these processes integrated with our CRM (full disclosure it is Odoo too).

"Powerful ERP system, but customization headache"

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

Odoo offers a complete ERP system that can cover things like CRM, Inventory, Purchasing, MRP, and and E-commerce. Fairly complete system that is ready to use as SaaS or Odoo.sh hosted. If you are just starting your business or company, molding your company to the Odoo way will give you a successful launch. More complex configurations will take time to roll out. What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

Customizations are painful to make and Odoo provided services are not a can do type of attitude. The most common response I get about a customization is "That isn't how we do things." It is extremely frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Odoo ERP:

If you can demo Odoo and find it completely covers your requirements, you will enjoy using it. If you find yourself needing many customizations, make sure that you get those changes made BEFORE you try to go live.

Train your staff and use the system in a test mode covering all operations before going live. You may find that if you make an error that you can't just delete the mistake. Sometimes you will need to make adjustments to cancel the operation and then redo. Odoo tries to keep complete history of your company. Mistakes must be corrected through adjustments, not deletions. "User Friendly and Powerful"

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

Easy to learn. Software is intuitive so training users is very easy.

Customization is fairly easy. You can use tools within application to add fields, hide fields etc.

Community is very large, although somewhat limited in the US. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

Security. This is hard to describe so please stay with me. The software is very easy to learn so users get bold very quickly. Then they make mistakes. So as the admin you ask how you can limit those mistakes. That is hard to do. The security is adequate at best because it is not granular enough to limit user errors. Yes errors can be fixed but not always easily nor as cleanly as you would like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We now have one system for e-commerce and ERP. That means we manage orders, items, and customer data in one system.

Some areas of the program feel redundant, certain functions are hard to understand. Took us quite some time to get a hang of things and learn how to use all of the features properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Odoo ERP:

Be careful setting things up. Make sure everything is done correctly from the start, as it is very hard to fix down the road. Explore your options of using their online version/local version (community vs. enterprise). The enterprise version is much customization with 3rd party modules and features. If I did everything over again, I would still choose Odoo over any other options, but would probably hire a 3rd party to help with implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Completely replaced our accounting software, inventory management, and even added the options for manufacturing, CRM, ecommerce, any many others.
