What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

We are a consultant company and we help clients to choose a good solution in Odoo. We host most of our client's websites, not all. Some clients choose in-house hosting and we support this setup as well. We create or modify existing modules for the clients. When I write this, most development we make is made in Odoo 14, but older versions are still around for some clients. We use Ubuntu and Odoo is easy and fast to set up and then ready to try modules from "the box" or from the Internet. We create modules at the clients' request or choose and decide what they need based on the situation and the business. Odoo is an elegant software! Slim, fast and easy to use in daily business. What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

When programming, Odoo has a quite challageing error handeling. Odoo is not always very helpful or assisting with a touch of ignorace. "An undexpected error occured" could be more specific to speed up development. However, clients never need to see these messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Odoo ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Since Odoo is open source, we solve the issue with GDPR Europe faces with solutions from American companies like Microsoft and Google. We develop infrastructure and do modules to match these and serve the public institutions in Sweden and more, if possible. Most companies and organizations will aim for the safe and sound in the future to come, but some will look ahead and that's the gap we fill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

It takes less than 10mn to be on boarded and start using the most critical ressources ( creating oppurtinity, making PI , receiving the confirmation by mail, invoicing and accounting( Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

I appreciate the all in one functionality and scalability! I've never found a better or more complete solution, and I've had a very eclectic career which has covered a variety of industries and systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing is a little rough on the lower side, and there are not a lot of resources to help me compare Odoo specifically to the other systems they replace, for example: Salesforce, Quickbooks, Docusign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Odoo ERP:

Usually it takes multiple systems to accomplish what Odoo offers. Odoo delivers a complete solution for a fraction of the price of the hodge-podge of other systems most all companies use to manage their activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Odoo ERP?

The most helpful element of the ERP is the design concept. Odoo stands for "On Demand Open Object". This allows users with the appropriate permissions access to a wide degree of customization within the ERP to enhance workflow without locking yourself into a higher price bracket. Odoo naturally incorporates the most common customizations in future versions, streamlining enhancements. And since the design is open, there is no feeling that they are holding your data hostage. You own it, you can access it, and update it with mass imports, using the highly flexible import and export system. This allowed us to complete an emergency, bare-bones migration in 6 weeks, instead of 6 months without having to use a single SQL query or import tool. Since the entire ERP is web-based, there is no limit as to where you can access the ERP and no clunky "clients" to install. The transaction from sales order to purchase order to manufacturing order are handled in such a way to streamline operations and reduce the amount of water-cooler chat required to keep everybody up to speed on the latest goings-on. What do you dislike about Odoo ERP?

The ERP often too rigid when mistakes are made or when changes happen. For example, if a customer requests their sales order to be changed to a drop-shipment. The bugs in the behind the scenes automation when such changes occur can necessitate canceling the sales order and/or purchase order line and starting over. Likewise if your customer confirmed a quote and you later discovered the item routing, say from manufacture to drop-ship, was incorrectly configured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
