What I find most helpful about Maxio is the visibility into the transaction history of a customer as well as future projections of invoices and revenue at that customer level and for the company overall. The upside of Maxio is the reporting capabilities at both a high and detailed level and the variety of information you can generate. It allows us to view payments from Stripe and PayPal into one platform. We are able to modify the subscriptions there, update customer information, and it is much easier to send invoices.

When you search for a customer's name on the search bar, different customers appear in the results. So you have to go to the Customer Tab to ensure that you can locate the customer you're looking for.
There seems to be different maxio pages for each purchase whereas it would be easier to have a single page where you can find all of the customer’s purchases with the exact product name rather than a generic one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maxio helps us stay on top of customer payments, eliminates a lot of potentual human error in invoicing, and it's extremely easy to export data all kinds of data for further analysis in Google Sheets. Maxio is easy to understand and learn, it helps maintain accuracy in financial reporting and revenue recognition, streamlining audits and improving financial processes. Being an Accountant for SaaS companies this is very important factor that I liked about them.

Maxio has helped automate the sending of invoices, which was the primary problem we were trying to solve as a small company. The tool itself is not very user friendly, and trying to navigate around it can be frustrating. Managing customer transactions/contracts is complicated. I worry that if our Maxio admin were to leave the business, it would be very difficult to get someone else up to speed in a reasonable amount of time. This introduces risk to the business. So far, there is nothing positive I can say about Maxio. And this is 2 years+ as a customer. Why I am still a customer, you may ask? So far, pretty much everything. My team and I are daily users. The product is unreliable. There are daily miscues with invoicing, there are daily posting errors to QBO. The features don't perform as expected i.e. we have had a fair amount of issue with multi-frequency billing and client onboarding. The support is non-existent (not dramatizing this). And if you are lucky enough to get someone they "send it to a Senior Product Manager" who never does anything nor gets back to you. I now have 4-6 tickets for basic issues / bugs that are going on 6 months old.

I really enjoy how user-friendly and intuitive the platform is to locate insights about customer information and their billing. I use it pretty frequently, and would feel very comfortable onboarding a new team member to it.

I love the ability to create contracts, set billing dates and forget about it. The additional collections features are great too. I am able to create custom email templates for any and all situations that can be used by anyone, which eases delegation tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While I like a lot of the reporting options and features, the user experience feels clunky at times. Also, the sync with QBO is not straight forward. Some things sync automatically, some things won't sync after a certain event, and some information does not sync or update in Maxio. I appreciate the support/help whenever there is an issue. The team is very specialized in helping our team with custom solutions/walk arounds. We've successfully implemented our subsidiary billing with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is concern about the high costs of renewal and uplift YoY. Which has been a significant increase since starting a second account for our subsidiary company (which has very minimal usage compared to Parent Company account). However, we are in contact with the Billing Representative and they've been very responsive in reducing this cost to us (not yet resolved). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I live in the data between Salesforce and Maxio. Using both raw data in our data lake + the actual Maxio platform, it's very easy to identify where to look for differences and why they might be present. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Reporting is very difficult and time consuming. There isn't a lot of customization and it's annoying that you have to run/save a completely different report to make a small tweak for a one-time change (i.e. using a report that shows current period and you want to quickly run the same report but for prior period) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
