The platform is very easy to use and offers the opportunity of custom grouping by patent case with the user able to input their own references. Such an easy set-up makes for a sophisticated tool that keeps all patent cases in one place offering an easy monitoring and stress-free patent management. All of this at a reasonable low cost! What do you dislike about PatentRenewal.com?

Some limitations do annoy me. Such as if the user wishes to renew cases themselves without incurring service charge fees, the case can't be automatically updated on the platform for the next renewal period, so it is a hassle if you wish to maintain it on the next renewal period as you need to manually set it up by e-mailing the support team. What I appreciate most is the platform's comprehensive subscription management capabilities. What I find most helpful about Maxio is the visibility into the transaction history of a customer as well as future projections of invoices and revenue at that customer level and for the company overall. The upside of Maxio is the reporting capabilities at both a high and detailed level and the variety of information you can generate. I really enjoy using Paddle. One of the things I like the most is their Retain system, which helps recover potential customers and encourages them to complete their subscriptions. The integration process with our platform was smooth and straightforward, making it easy to get started. Paddle also offers excellent subscription management features and supports a wide variety of payment methods, which is essential for serving customers globally. On top of that, their support team is highly knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, always providing accurate solutions and guidance whenever needed. What do you dislike about Paddle?

There’s nothing about Paddle that I didn’t like, just a few improvement points that I believe will eventually be implemented. I think it’s important to have the option to collect the user’s phone number before completing the subscription, which would help a lot with cart recovery through Retain. What problems is Paddle solving and how is that benefiting you?

Paddle is solving several important problems for my business, especially around subscription management and payment processing. With Paddle’s automated subscription management, I don’t need to worry about handling things manually. The system automatically notifies me when a customer starts a new subscription, cancels, or when a subscription ends. The Retain feature is also extremely valuable, helping recover abandoned carts and bringing potential customers back to complete their purchase.

Another huge benefit is the ability to accept payments in multiple currencies, making it much easier to sell globally without friction. Additionally, Paddle handles taxes and compliance automatically, allowing me to easily pass taxes to the customer, which simplifies my operations significantly. What do you like best about Loop Subscriptions?

I love how easy it is for the customer to navigate through the app and make changes to their subscription. I think user experience is super important and my previous app didn't offer a lot of 'no brainer' options for the customer, like being able to process an order straight away, and also being able to adjust their ongoing order easily.

After switching to Loop, it was amazing to see how much customers were changing their subscription around. From my point of view this means that customers always wanted these features, and previously they weren't able to easily make the changes they want. This would lead to either direct churn, or at the least lower LTV as they decided the subscription wasn't for them.

Loop is also aggressively implementing new features on their app, so I can tell that they want to build an even better ecosystem for their customers which will lead to an even better customer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loop Subscriptions?

The only minor dislike I have at the moment is how they handle prepaid (gift) subscriptions. However, their team helped me implement the best version of a prepaid gift that they can do right now which uses shopify's order scheduling to implement the orders.

What do you like best about Freemius?

I've been with Freemius for a few months now and I'm so glad I made the decision to switch from EDD. Everything just works with Freemius and I'm not having to spend a ton of developer resources fixing things.

Not only that, I'm pretty sure sales are up as a direct result of moving to Freemius. Their checkout is intuative and they make upgrading licenses super easy. It's still early days but it's looking very promising.

They handle all sales tax which is yet another headache that I don't need to deal with. I'm finally able to focus on improving the product and helping customers which is exactly what I wanted.

Finally, I have to say their support is great. I'm a non-tech plugin founder and they answer my (probably stupid) questions with grace, while providing really useful insights into where I can improve. What do you dislike about Freemius?

IPfolio is a very powerful tool for organizing, storing, and managing our IP portfolio. With IPfolio I can keep track of my IP applications such as number of applications, prosecution status, office actions, costs, etc. After our implementation period we went through a long period of internal re-structuring. After a few years we started using IPfolio again, and the IT support team has helped us to update our databases and has also helped us customize it for our current needs. I have received training from the IT support expert Kevin Nugget and have mastered the use of the tool. I now can create my own templates, my own new fields, customize the pages for our needs/use, and I can keep track of budget and do cost forecasting for the following years all bymyself. What I like most about Ipfolio is that no matter how offen I need guidance, the IT support expert is always responsive and replies to all of my questions within minutes. The best part about Subskribe is how it enables us to quickly launch and test new price offerings. We can define plan pricing, billing cycles, trial periods etc all through their friendly UI. This agility has allowed us to optimize our SaaS plans to maximize revenue. As a founder, having a billing system that can keep up with our evolving business model is invaluable. Before Subskribe, managing our subscription billing was a headache. Tracking upgrades, downgrades, and prorations across hundreds of customers in spreadsheets was unsustainable and error-prone.
