Like most SaaS companies we had a very complex legacy billing & revenue recognition process that had evolved over time. We set out to find a billing platform that would enable us to retain the same level of customization and control we had w/ our manual spreadsheet-based process, but found that all of the big players in the ERP and SaaS billing spaces were basically unable to accomodate our needs (we evaluated NetSuite , Chargebee, Zuora, SaasOptics, Recurly etc). Ordway immediately stood out as an intuitive platform that is highly customizable and intuitive. he implementation team was super helpful (shout out to Max and Hemant), and so is their general customer support team (shout out to Sneha). At one point during our implementation they even connected us with their product team in order to make a custom revenue in order fit our unique business needs. While it took us over a year to fully flesh out the integration between our website and Ordway and to migrate all of our customers to Ordway, I am confident that we made the right choice. Overall I have only positive things to say about Ordway. On occassion we have experienced some minor glitches with the UI, but they are super responsive to support tickets and issues are generally resolved very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ordway's platform flexibility is really impressive. However, the extreme flexibility could make it difficult to identify the most effective 'best practices' approach to one's specific use cases. Would highly recommend working closely with their onboarding team to understand the exact end to end workflow you are looking to implement. Ordway allows our business to automate the billing and revenue recognition processes more than other tools in the space. The data organization simplifies the complicated ASC 606 revenue recognition process, and makes reporting easy. Because not every product has the same revenue recognition schedule even within the same company, flexibility is a huge non-negotiable for a company like ours, and Ordway was the only company who could support our framework, while allowing space to grow alongside them in future years.
By utilizing their dunning features, we have also noticed a considerable improvement in our collections efforts without having to add more human hours to follow up efforts.
Beyond the tool, their white glove implementation services and personnel make Ordway an easy choice. Our implementation specialist, Nicholas has been a rockstar helping us bring over all of our historical invoices, payments and revenue tie out to ensure that Ordway can be our source of record from inception to date. We made the choice to bring in all historical information to Ordway, which was performed by moving through a lot of manual report building and checks. A difficult problem to solve! We use Ordway every day. It is very user friendly and flexible to handle all our billing needs efficiently. The automated revenue recognition is super helpful. Ordway seamlessly integrates with other tools that we use.

I like how everything in it is intuitive. The customer support team that includes Nikhil and our account rep Sneha are the absolutely best. They get back to you quickly and are always helpful in making sure you have what you need. Sneha has gone out of her way to provide help, create reports for us, and walk us through different parts of the platform.

Ordway is amazingly easy to use and extremely flexible for all types of billing use cases. We have some complex deals and Ordway is able to handle them all. Also, it integrates with our other tools. A downside would be initial configuration, the implementation team will work with you until it's fully implemented to fit your use case. This is to be expected as billing is complex.
