The straightforward approach for most things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The non-reactive parts. E.g. parts that don't immediately reflect what I do. Plus not-so-great web (dev) related docs (most are for full stack). The not-so-great GTag/Analytics support within the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use - it's a lot more user-friendly to get a test off the ground and results are easily obtained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The checkout end of the funnel, where it will not reliably select elements if a cross domain issue is found. You cannot revisit changes as it has lost the DOM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I enjoyed about Optimizely was the ability to easily A/B test and organize the testing appropriately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I did not like was that there was no tied in insights to those testing like heat maps and screen recordings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The aspect of Optimizely that I liked the most is how easy it is to create an experiment. As I do not come from an IT background I am not able to code, so having a tool that allows me to make small changes to a landing pages CTA for example is really powerful. The ability to add comments about changes you have made would have been really useful. Sometimes it is difficult to keep track of the updates. you have made during the experiment phase! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like being able to visualise my A/B tests before setting them live Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the execution means; we had to pause most of our tests because the tool did not integrate with our dynamic changes on a weekly basis. We could test basic copy changes but experienced difficulty executing other changes like imagery and URL changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the intuitive WYSIWYG for creating new tests and variants. As a marketing professional, it's helpful to make quick updates to copy or images on our site without the need to pull in our busy design experts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't much to dislike about the robust platform. The analytics can be a bit challenging, but if you spend the time to set up the experiment correctly at the beginning, it's smooth sailing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Optimizely web is relatively easy to understand and learn. It provides me the data I need to make rational decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There would be some easy and quick improvements possible to facilitate navigation on the app. And the QA part could be facilitated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once implemented, ease of use is superior to other tools. Easy for non-technical roles to create, start, and analyze a new experiment. It's also easy to do the same with feature flagging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the overlap between experiments and feature flagging can be confusing. You of course need technical support to setup experiments and flags. I don't find the program management features helpful at all to our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
