What do you like best about Gist?

When I first started using Gist it was in a beta stage (and was called ConvertFox). Over a short period of time they grew their team and product to a serious All-in-one platform for customer support, live chat, marketing, drip-feed email campaign and much more. What do you dislike about Gist?

Sometimes it can be a bit slow, but I guess most tools that are THAT powerful need a bit of time to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Gist team is pretty fast resolving issues for their customers. I was able to get replies within seconds and resolution within minutes. I can't complain but to say that Gist team is on top of their game when it comes to customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We definitely are improving our customer support interactions. We are having more human connections and at the same time, it gives us an advantage against our competitors. What do you like best about Gist?

I love the service that I receive from Gist. They are very responsive when I need help and make updates that fit my needs. They helped me transition from my previous provider, helped me set up my sales funnels and more. They go above and beyond my expectations. What do you like best about Gist?

Gist is continually improving its services. I love being with a company that is always adapting and adding features. It's clear that Gist listens to their community. I love being able to add workflows to trigger emails and actions based on the behavior of those who visit my website. The latest live chat update is great too. Gist has allowed me to easily create a level of automation that guides my customers through various processes such as registration, ordering, and obtaining more product information, which has freed up a lot of time for my staff. This makes the process much easier for my customers, removing friction and making the customer's experience so much better, which in turn helps create loyalty. What do you dislike about Gist?

The ability to host forms were removed with the latest upgrade of forms. However, the new forms are so much better and way more robust. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. I'm told the hosted forms will be back with some future updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm getting more people to register on my site which allows me opportunities to send timely and appropriate marketing emails to these prospects to turn them into customers. What do you like best about Gist?

One of the things that has impressed me most about Gist is that it strives to bring everything under one platform. Having the ability to run chatbots, launch drip feed campaigns, do an email blast, connect to your calendar, track users and more in one platform is not unique...but getting it all for free or low or low cost is. I have used some big-end products before and they are great, but they are also designed for the big-end of town and are largely not cost effective for your small-medium businesses.

The value that Gist delivers is actually pretty phenomenal when you start working out how many systems it can potentially replace. Even their free plan incorporates full features, so it's a pretty easy choice to at least try it out.

The additional kudos however goes to the fact that they continue to add value to their platform. The most recent additions have included web forms and pop-up tool which demonstrates they are a growing company that is willing to invest in its own platform as well as its customers. What do you dislike about Gist?

Like most all-inclusive software packages, there's a bit of a steep learning curve in how it all fits together and getting the initial integrations set up. I've also found the terminology to be somewhat different to some of the other marketing platforms I've tried in the past, which at times is confusing.

That said, they have a pretty comprehensive tutorial and education system to back up their platform and a growing network of users for collaboration and continued learning.

On the email marketing side, they don't have design templates to choose from, so you have to create and upload your own in HTML. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Gist:

If you are using and/or paying for separate tools for marketing your business, add up all the costs and time you invest in trying to get them to integrate with each other and then compare with Gist. You might find that Gist is the prefect cover-all too that saves you heaps of time and potentially dollars in the long run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm still in the early days of putting it's through its paces, however Gist will ultimately replace three existing separate software systems that I am using which is 1. Email marketing tool, 2. Drip feed Tool and 3. Chatbot tool and potentially even more tools via forms and pop-ups.

As mentioned earlier, having all these under one roof for a low price is one of the major appeals of the platform compared to similar service providers on the market.

As well as using for my own business, I also see it as a good cost effective alternative for my small business clients, particular the ones that are similarly currently using multiple platforms and paying multiple subscription fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gist?

I love that it is a complete solution to the vast majority of my needs at a fraction of the price others offer. Without needing to cobble together a Frankenstein of tools, I can take care of my email and website marketing needs with only WordPress and GIST. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have always felt like I looked like a small agency, no matter what the copy (or truth for that matter) is. By implementing the live chat and email drip campaigns, I look like I am capable of running a 5 figure marketing campaign for my customers. Although I am using multiple aspects of their software, I find the best value and I am using the live chat the most and their email campaign feature the second. It was my first experience with a live bot and I had no idea how valuable it would prove to be by being able to land clients on an abbreviated sales cycle just because I could talk to them in realtime. As for the email campaign feature, I knew this was one of those things I needed to do, but it felt like I was setting myself up for one more thing I needed to be on top of all the time.
