"Testing all those devices just got easier"

What do you like best about BrowserStack?

We use BrowserStack to test our product on a wide range of devices every day - from mobile devices to desktops or tablets, be it Android, iOS or Windows, we test them all with BrowserStack. This has made our testing much easier compared to what we had before - no longer do we have tons of different devices lying around, creating bottlenecks and slowing us down. We can just throw our tests at BrowserStack and let them handle all the devices and their management for us. This saves us a lot of time and we can focus on what matters - the testing.

One of my favorite features is BrowserStack Local Testing. Often, you have local or firewalled sites that you need to test, but since BrowserStack isn't part of the local network, this would normally be difficult to achieve. Local Testing can proxy those requests into our local network, allowing us to test internal applications without exposing them to the internet. This makes it so much easier to integrate BrowserStack than if we had to find a solution for this ourselves.

Like I said before, we use BrowserStack every day and it's usually quite solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

There are of course some downsides, too. For one, Local Testing sometimes has connection issues, but it seems like this may be the fault of our own network. Since it doesn't happen too often, we haven't thoroughly investigated this. Beyond that, while I understand that this is part of the business model, the quite limited number of parallel and queued tests is often annoying when multiple team members test simultaneously. Furthermore, the fact that licenses for, for example, BrowserStack Live, are limited in the same fashion can be annoying, as they have to be assigned to users. Would be nicer if you could just give access to everyone on the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BrowserStack solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem that BrowserStack solves is, as mentioned before, the fact that they take care of managing all those devices. Previously, we had a bunch of different devices lying around the office and had to manually test using those devices. That took up a large amount of time and made it annoying to test things repeatedly. You couldn't just run a test overnight, or kick back and do something else while the testing is happening - you'd have to be there constantly and babysit a bunch of devices. BrowserStack has made this a thing of the past for us, as we can simply start our tests and do other productive things while the tests run.

So, in short, it has benefited us in two ways: 1) reducing friction / annoying manual testing, and 2) improving productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solution for triggering parallel test automation with real devices"

What do you like best about BrowserStack?

Sometimes while testing the web as well as mobile applications, we feel problem for jenkin jobs to trigger parallel testing in multiple devices either for shortage of real devices for testing or it's really painful to test all the cases in local. All these problems got solved by Browserstack only for getting a better place to test automate and to run the jenkin jobs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

The Enterprise level price can be lowered and in one package they should include live as well as automation testing. For automation testing also it should have variety of devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BrowserStack solving and how is that benefiting you?

Browserstack is having bunch of real devices for the test runs, can be integrated into JIRA and Qtest so that we can get real time report. Test steps getting logged as well as recorded so it's been easier to track the test failures. The integration and running using jenkin jobs to trigger parallel test cases is seamless to achieve. What do you like best about BrowserStack?

It is unreliable, for testing browser compatibility. There are occasional performance issues and latency during peak usage times. Its limited range of features is bad not allowing me to test my website on a variety of devices and browser versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

It is priced higher compared to competitors like LambdaTest and SauceLabs, but its poor reliability makes it worthless. The downside Ive experienced is that it is a bit slow at times on devices and less popular browsers. However when considering everything BrowserStack proves to be a poor tool for my testing needs. What problems is BrowserStack solving and how is that benefiting you?

I find the need for multiple devices to test platforms which becomes costly. Another drawback for front end developers like myself is the lack of CSS adjustments with browser dev tools.
