What do you like best about BrowserStack?

Ease of use; browser-based, integration with dev tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

The biggest problem I'm trying to solve right now is an issue with Android Chrome 102. Even the oldest devices listed, however, appear to be fully up to date, with no way to select a different browser version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best up to date device collection"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

As a developer navigating the complex world of cross-browser compatibility, I stumbled upon BrowserStack, and it has proven to be a game-changer in my testing routine.

Device Diversity: ⚙️⚡

One of BrowserStack's standout features is its extensive array of devices available for testing. From the latest smartphones to legacy browsers, the platform provides a comprehensive testing playground. This diversity ensures that my applications are thoroughly vetted across a wide range of user environments, giving me the confidence that my creations will perform seamlessly for all users.

Versatility in Settings and Utilities: 🧰🌐

BrowserStack doesn't just stop at device diversity; it goes above and beyond with a plethora of settings and utilities for testing. The ability to fine-tune configurations and simulate various network conditions is invaluable. Whether it's testing under slow 3G or debugging on a specific OS version, BrowserStack empowers developers with the tools needed to create robust and resilient applications.

User-Friendly Interface: 🎨🖱️

Navigating through the testing process is a breeze thanks to BrowserStack's intuitive and user-friendly interface. Switching between devices and adjusting settings is straightforward, even for those new to the platform. The learning curve is minimal, allowing developers to focus on perfecting their code rather than grappling with a complex testing environment.

Responsive Customer Support: 🛠️🤝

In my experience, the BrowserStack support team has been responsive and helpful. Any queries or issues were addressed promptly, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

While the reliance on local internet connection may be a consideration, it doesn't overshadow the platform's overall reliability and effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The app is very friendly to user. As a QA engineer this is a must have! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

As a freelance, I recently tried out BrowserStack to see how well it works for cross-browser testing. While the tool is powerful and offers a wide range of features, the high price makes it difficult for freelancers like me to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how we can test on multiple devices, with multiple scenarios with little to no fuss, and now with lowcode automation available it's allowing us to further automate out development and testing environments to help us reduce the number of issues that appear in the wild. "Cross-platform testing made simple - having dev tools available across all devices is a dream!"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

Excellent support for local testing - the process is extemely quick and easy to set up without any messing around. You can be testing localhost dev versions of a site in less than a minute. It's now a frequent part of my development workflow.

Able to use Chrome dev tools across a range of devices and browsers. Especially useful for iOS devices, where it's otherwise impossible to inspect site elements and deployed CSS without connecting it to a Mac. Having the choice between Safari and Chrome dev tools is great too, since it means I can use the same dev tools everywhere and not waste time re-learning different layouts.

Large range of REAL devices. Emulated testing can never be relied on in the same way, so having access to real physical devices that go back multiple generations and can be accessed almost instantly can't be underestimated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Not all devices seem to offer options for all browser versions. In particular, I noticed that iPad 9th gen only offers iOS version 15. Although it's possible to select a different iPad generation and test a different iOS version that way, viewport sizes and aspect ratios do vary between iPad generations, and I wanted to be absolutely certain that my site would display a certain way on iOS 17, with the iPad 9th gen viewport size.

However, these situations are edge cases and are generally few and far between. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing application to test frontend projects"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

The usage is straightforward, including a variety of features. Customer support was very good, and my queries very resolved easily. I haven't integrated it for automation testing but the docs are very helpful for that. It's now my one-stop place to test any application and I use it on a regular basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

It's hard to switch applications when opened in a particular device, which gradually makes the implementation hard for testing multiple things at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
