Automated Testing Software

Typically, Automated Testing is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Automated Testing Software.

Automated testing software can refer to a few different components of application development and maintenance. Software testing products give teams the ability to evaluate software performance, usability, and functionality. Teammates can utilize the feedback to add additional functionality and make necessary changes. Test automation tools are a component of the development process that monitors application performance and assists users in tracking bugs. Continuous integration software will also provide similar software testing abilities but focuses on specific continuous delivery and build automation practices. These products allow administrators to constantly test new additions and changes to source code during the continuous delivery process.

“Comprehensive platform for QA teams”
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

It offers a wide range of features that covers most of the desired features and integrations for a QA platform, like:

- ATest Management system that allows you either to maintain manual test suites as well as to integrate it with popular automation testing frameworks and get reports directly into Browserstack

- Integration with Jira, which provides traceability

- Real mobile devices to run tests on

- A customer support team available to teach about new or unknown features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

- Test case editor: I would be nice if we could edit "inline" without having to open the full edit popup, sometimes you just want to make a change on the title or update from Manual to Automated, and it takes a lot of time to do so through the pop up.

- Grouping of test cases into test suites: it lacks the concept of test suite, you can only create folders within a project, but it has several disadvantages, if you want one test cases to be part of two different tests suites, you have to duplicate it, which makes it a pain to maintain. Also, if you want to get statistics about a particular set of tests, you cant, since the dashboard makes its calculations base on all the test cases, without being able to discriminate based on folder (having test suites would be better)

- AI automation: Competitors like LambdaTest are ahead on AI features, Kane AI offers a platform for writing test cases in natural language and execute them, which can boost QA productivity, Browserstack lacks a feature like that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BrowserStack solving and how is that benefiting you?

“The user experience is confusing”
What do you like best about LaunchDarkly?

The key handling for each environment and predefined endpoints at LaunchDarkly makes it easy to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LaunchDarkly?

The user experience is confusing. In which menu I can find things is not intuitive. The rule set works but I can't point a customer here since a customer will need a separate UI with simple toggles, maybe an idea could be to be able to generate custom UIs from rule sets. I also want to be able to have a key casing convention for UPPER_SNAKECASE which is the most common one used for environment variables, since I want to be able to replace environment variable settings with feature flags if they exist. The "hello world" setup for Launch Darkly is not something you would want to use in production, so it would be good is there was more framework related setup done. The setup in ASP.NET core for reading in feature flags as options could have been provided by I library for ease of use, instead of me having to develop the code myself. There also seems to be a lack of tutorials on YouTube which gives the impression that this is not a product commonly used. When entering the webpage I would expect to get online help interactivly showing what the product can do, instead of just showing unfamiliar terms in my face. I do not like the need to wait for sampled data from the user before being able to setup a rule against that user, I would want to be able to have a predefined rule sets even without anyone having made a call to Launch Darkly. My favorite environments keep disappearing so I have to add them again every time I login. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LaunchDarkly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Its helping me allow customers to try out features in production by toggling them on and off.

It is probably overkill and It would be beneficial to be able to configure the actual features I am able to see since most will never be used.

It would also be good to be able to show the customer a simpler interface with the limited ability to just toggle features, that was adaptable to mobile screens etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Excellent Device Coverage and Versatile Testing Experience.”
What do you like best about LambdaTest?

The best thing I like about this tool is, the platform's flexibility to facilitate testing on practically any mobile device or browser, including iPads and variety of screen size, from small 5.1-inch phones to bigger 6.9-inch tablets, truly pleased me base on my experince. It eliminates the need for numerous tools by covering almost every device required for comprehensive app testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LambdaTest?

Actually, I don't have any dislike but yes, I can say one things is you need to increase free testing time so everyone can test your app an make purchase decision. 5 minutes is not enough for testing. But overall good experience with this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LambdaTest solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a senior QA, we need to check all mobile app in final step. And we purchased many real devices for this testing but now we don't need to purchase any mobile devices because now using LambdaTest, I am able to test all app in different mobile devices that they providing. “The Best Tool for Version Control and Team Projects & also for Opensource projects”
What do you like best about GitHub?

GitHub has phenomenal ease of use due to its clean user interface and intuitive navigation. It's easy for beginners to get started, and has a short learning curve for experienced developers. The setup process is easy and allows you to create a project and integrate it with Git in no time. GitHub is a part of my weekly workflow for version control and code collaboration, and project management. GitHub provides a wealth of features including pull requests, actions, issue tracking, discussions, etc., that allow the team to stay productive. GitHub integrates seamlessly with a variety of other tools, be it Slack, CI/CD, Trello, and many others. The ease of onboarding customers has limited direct customer support, but after testing and using the platform, the active community and documentation makes it easy to fix most user issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

GitHub is arguably the best platform, however, as a beginner, I felt overwhelmed by some of the functions GitHub offered and the complexities of getting started with Git. For example, the interface feels cluttered with too much going on at times. Private repositories and team features were also limited on the free plan, and responses from customer support for free users took forever at times. GitHub also did not handle monorepos efficiently, nor did it handle binary files when leveraging Git LFS. Some integrations added additional setup times to be useful, and I feel the project board experience is shallow compared to dedicated tools like Jira or Trello. All that goes to say, I think it is a fantastic tool, but GitHub has room to improve the usability, flexibility, pricing models, and performance at the enterprise scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?

GitHub addresses the problems of collaboration, version control and code management by bringing a group of people to work together from one place, in an efficient and organized way. Code reviews, issue management and pull requests, are all captured within GitHub, with easy-to-find histories of changes and history. Automating workflows with GitHub Actions (for workflows such as testing and deployment) is easy as well. In addition to all of the benefit possibilities from GitHub alone, its integrations with services and cloud platforms provide a streamlined development experience. It has increased my productivity, ensured code quality and simplified communication with my team—whether I am working alone or with many people. With everything in one location—from documentation, all the way to CI/CD—it has saved me time and helped me keep my project organized and scalable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Apidog?

Apidog offers an all-in-one platform that beautifully combines API design, documentation, testing, and debugging. The user interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to create and manage APIs efficiently. I especially love the ability to switch between different environments effortlessly and test endpoints directly with real-time responses. Collaboration features are also a huge plus — our team can work together seamlessly without switching tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

There are very few downsides, but if I had to mention one, it would be the limited number of integrations with external tools compared to some competitors. Also, initial setup for beginners might require a short learning curve. However, the documentation is strong and helps bridge that gap quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apidog solving and how is that benefiting you?

Apidog helps us streamline our entire API lifecycle — from planning and designing endpoints to testing and documenting them. Instead of juggling multiple tools, we now manage everything in one platform. This has significantly improved our team’s collaboration, reduced API errors, and sped up the development and debugging process. “Valuable and useful but comes with it's own unique challenges”
What do you like best about Salesforce Platform?

Drag-and-drop interface: I can create apps, forms, workflows, and dashboards maybe more or less without much coding knowledge.

Automated workflows: I can automate business processes like approvals, notifications, or record updates using Flow Builder.

Custom objects and fields: I can adapt Salesforce exactly to the business neeeds.

Reusable components: UI components can be created and reused through Lightning App Builder.

Grows with your team: This enables users to build solutions without having to wait for the developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Platform?

Hidden costs: Need to pay extra for: Add-ons like Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, etc. Customization and integration often require hiring Salesforce-certified consultants, which adds to costs

Hard for non-tech users to understand terminology (objects, Apex, flows, triggers) and navigate between Classic and Lightning interfaces.

Note: if you are using large datasets - then system lag time is high.

Customising can be tough as it requires more ongoing maintenance, i.e we need dedicated salesforce team/admin to just keep things running.

There is a risk of functionality breaking during platform updates (which happen three times a year). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Salesforce Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

Salesforce lightning is helping me boost productivity and makes our work [and life] easier by doing the followingg:

Manage Cases: Track, assign, and resolv customer service issues very efficiently.

Handle Contacts and Accounts: Maintain customer and company records and link them to related data.

Create Reports and Dashboards: Generate and visualize performance metrics, trends, and KPIs.

Collaborate via Chatter: Communicate with team members, share updates, and follow important records.

Store and Share Files: Upload documents and attach them to relevant records for easy access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Gitlab- Best in class tool for source control and CI/CD”
What do you like best about GitLab?

There are a lot of great things about GitLab. First of all, it has a feature to create multiple levels of groups. Then the CI/CD pipelines are very easy to use.

GitLab provides container registries, dependency proxy to pull container images, manages the Kubernetes environments etc.

The implementation of GitLab self-hosted runners is also very easy, and GitLab has enough documentation for the setup.

The integration of GitLab is pretty simple.

I am using GitLab daily for day-to-day operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

GitLab support is a factor that I don't like about GitLab. They are too slow to respond to P1 incidents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GitLab solving and how is that benefiting you?

The first problem that GitLab is solving for our organization is the source control. It is very easy to create/clone/import repositories on GitLab.

We are creating GitLab repositories/projects using Terraform and that explains the amazing documentation of GitLab Terraform provider.

The next thing that GitLab is helping us is the CI/CD. GitLab has the abillity to create downstream pipelines that helps us in managing deployment pipelines for various environments originating from a single CI pipeline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A clean, efficient alternative to bulky test management tools”
What do you like best about Tuskr?

I’ve only used Tuskr for about a week during the free demo period, but it immediately stood out compared to other tools I’ve tried, like TestRail and Zephyr. Before discovering Tuskr, we were relying on spreadsheets to manage test cases ( a tedious and error-prone process). Tuskr made the transition smooth and immediately improved visibility, structure, and collaboration. As a tech Writer, I found the interface intuitive and the learning curve minimal. Features like customizable fields, Jira integration, and easy test case organization helped streamline our QA workflow significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tuskr?

Given that I only used the demo, I didn’t get to explore every feature in depth. That said, the reporting features seemed a bit limited compared to more established platforms. Power users may miss advanced filtering and analytics. Also, there’s no offline access, which could be a drawback for teams that occasionally work in low-connectivity environments. Still, for a tool this easy to pick up, those trade-offs felt minor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Honestly didn't expect QA Wolf to be this good”
What do you like best about QA Wolf?

Honestly, where do I start? We brought them in thinking it would be a temporary fix while we built our own E2E testing setup. That was about a year ago, and we're not building our own anymore. QA Wolf turned what I expected to be a temporary solution into a core part of our testing strategy.

The communication has been refreshing. They don't spam you with updates, but when they reach out, it's actually useful stuff. Early on, they helped us make the business case internally for QA automation and built some proof-of-concepts that immediately showed value in terms of people-hours-saved. I wasn't expecting that level of partnership from a vendor.

Their bug-finding capabilities genuinely surprised me. We had some bugs we knew about but figured would be tough to catch. Not only did they catch those, but they found several issues that had been lurking in our system for years that we had no clue existed. Their engineers are sharp.

We've definitely cut down on manual testing, though I should probably measure that more precisely. Their process for flagging regressions is solid. They catch stuff and let us know before it becomes a problem. It's nice not constantly worrying about whether something broke after a deployment.

Their platform is actually well-built too. You can dig into test recordings, check out the source code, see what workflows are running. The CI/CD integration is straightforward. Documentation is clear without being overly verbose. It just works, which is rarer than it should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QA Wolf?

Honestly, it's hard to find much to complain about. The pricing isn't cheap, but after seeing what goes into doing this well... (the operational overhead, the QA expertise, the infrastructure)... I'm pretty confident we'd spend more trying to replicate this internally and probably do a worse job. So even that's not really a complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QA Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before QA Wolf, we were in the classic trap of knowing we needed better testing but not having the bandwidth to build it right. Manual testing was eating up time and we had this constant worry after deployments about what might have broken.

QA Wolf became our safety net. Now we deploy with confidence because their automated tests catch issues before they hit production, and our team can focus on building features instead of repetitive manual testing. It's like having a dedicated QA team with enterprise-level expertise without the headache of building it ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
