"Not bad once you figure out work-arounds for your needs"
Product Reviewed: Humanity Schedule by TCP
What do you like best about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

I like that you can schedule batches of people at once and that there is a way for the people to acknowledge a shift. The reminders are helpful for our use and also the database of an individual's date is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

I do not like a lot of the changes made in the past year, so I use the legacy shift planning scheduler. I wish that our users could acknowledge a set of shifts in a batch successfully. If they select "acknowledge all" oftentimes only the first of the multiple shifts are acknowledged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Features Being Removed"
Product Reviewed: Humanity Schedule by TCP
What do you like best about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

I like the level of control and nuance that Humanity provides. I initially loved this program as I believed that it resolved many of the issues I had with other scheduling software like Hot Schedules and Work day which I have also used extensively. I will say that the new platform is appealing to look at but my high opinion of it stops there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

In the migration to the New shift planning the features that are being removed are the features which were the biggest time savers and truly set this apart from other scheduling sotware like Hot Schedules. At this point with the daily bugs I dread opening this application every day. And each day, I get to find out what has changed for the worse, or what simply isn't functioning as intended today, the most recent bug was all the shifts appeared chronologically on when they were added, not chronologically in actual time. It was as if a random number generator placed the shifts on the day. I can appreciate rolling out a new piece of software is difficult, but the original intention was to leave the old platform unalterd until the bugs were worked out of the new user interface. Instead periodic changes are being made to the old interface to try and gradually merge the two platforms. The result of this is now there are two pieces of software not functioning as intended. The old platform was far from perfect and I was initially very excited about a change but the results have fallen far short of expectations. The new interface is ridiculously slow, clunky to navigate, adds at lease three clicks to operations which used to take 1 click or simply the stroke of the enter key. Features and functions which are needed to make the software usable have yet to be introduced into the new shift planning and each day I become more and more concerned that these features will never be migrated over. One of these is the ability to choose specific elements to save or not save when updating repeating shifts. Because these updates are now an all or nothing situation we are constantly deleting shifts to make a new one or doing 2+ edits so we can save the elements we need to without impacting the rest of the shift. The unintended consequence of this issue and others is we frequently have erroneous shift notes or staffing. If the new shift planning functioned half as well as the old version rather than just "looking better" (visually it's amazing) I wouldn't have these issues but I use this program at least 10 hours out of my week and it just keeps getting worse. I do have hopes that the final version will actually include all the features which we have been told multiple times will be included, but have not been added yet. If the final version does make all the updates with features required to efficiently do my job I will be thrilled. But so far based on how it is going I do not have faith that the new program will truly meet our needs in it's new version, simply that I will adapt to working around it and that the functionality itself will add 3-5 hours to my work week which is what the new program adds in just click time and overly complicated interfaces for what used to be very simple actions.

Also as an aside form a technical programming standpoint this application included 12am twice on each day causing frequent bug issues with how the application treats a "day" as each "day" also includes the following "day" from a programming standpoint. This is a sloppy coding error which causes numerous and easily aviodable bugs. For example if I paste a schedule into 12/4-12/10 it will also include shifts on 12/11 because 12am on 12/11 also occurs on 12/10 so these wind up being linked. This is an incredilby basic coding error which has been reported numerous times and there seems to be no move to fix this fundamental flaw, which is just one of many.

At this point the negatives to the 'facelift' have dramatically outweighed the positives and I find myself wondering each day if it is worth continuing to use a tool which cannot reliably function on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"You can't go wrong with you Time management using TCP Software"
Product Reviewed: TimeClock Plus by TCP
What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

The program is so easy to use and the employees love it. It was so easy to integrate from the start. We went from paper timesheets to all on the computer in no time at all.

It allows the employees to clock in or out, and they know exaclty how much time they have accured or available to use instantanously.

The employees have a link on their computer and can easily clock in or out. Some of the employees even have it setup on their phone so they can clock in or out with out needing their computer, which is an additional feature that make is well worth while.

It allows complete customization no matter what you workflow is, you can make TCP fit you business needs.

From a management point of view I don't have to worry about keeping accurate records for any of the employees time. I never have to worry if something is miscaluated or added incorrectly, it is all handled. from start to finish.

The software was very easy to setup, we went from a local on-prem platform to a full cloud implementation without any issues.

Their tech support was right by our side during the implementation process and we were up and going in no time. Customer service is always there to provide a hand, no matter if it is just a simple question or ends up being something they have to take ownership of and work to help figure out the best solution. They are only a phone call, chat or and email away when you need assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the support team. They are quick, helpful, kind, and truly knowledgeable about Humanity. So far, they have helped me with every question. They walk me through the answer and make sure I have the link to any relevant articles to assist me in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

The permissions for creating remote sites do not work for my company. We have stopped using that tool when scheduling because we have schedulers who are not managers which would need to create new remote locations, and that is not an option.

Also, it would be helpful for my organization to have the ability to change schedule colors by employee and not just position. It would be easier to distinguish between employees in departments with multiple employees in the same job function.

In addition to that, there is a bug which has now existed for weeks which even when it is resolved, will not resolve the pain point of:

Changes to the way dispatches are created and displayed without notification or the ability to turn off new features.

The new quick shift option was applied to my account without my knowledge of what it was or how to turn it off.

The new "tool-tip" feature has no option to turn it off and only gets in my way.

My company has been thinking of replacing Humanity for a while now, and I have been against it, until these recent, frustrating, and time consuming changes/issues happened.

It is fairly easy to implement.

It used to be easier to use.

I use it every day, multiple times a day to coordinate dispatches.

Ease of Integration - non existent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and helpful when you need it"

What do you like best about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

I like how easy it is to schedule shifts, how responsive and helpful the support team is, and the mobile app that makes it simple for our employees to see when they have a shift. I use it constantly. I like the customizability for use in multiple departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Humanity Schedule by TCP?

The pricing is a little steep. Also, I don't like how long it took to get some of the features back in New Shift Planning that were already implemented in old shift planning. I wish we could turn of features that we're not using, such as the payroll feature, and would like to be able to have a shift repeat in perpetuity rather than only until a certain date. These are minor issues though overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
