I like how stackoverflow for teams makes it easy for new employees/interns to investigate techniques used in a company. It makes you responsible for looking it up and stops you from asking for help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Everybody is familiar with Stack Overflow. Now we have a private version specific to our software and teams. It's easy to figure out, quick to post, and integrates with Slack so our DevOps engineers see new questions right away! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm not sure if we have more customization options, but our site itself looks a bit bland. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Stack Overflow for teams helps us with answers to simple questions or indexing/linking the answer, explanation or tutorial, which are longer or needs more formatting options than disponible on stack overflow at the moment. It also has a connection to Slack, which we use to communicate with the team, which notifies a channel when there are new questions and answers, which helps keeping people using the platform. Stack Overflow does not have as many formatting options as some other platforms, which is the reason we use it as indexing in some cases. The lack of formatting is most bothersome when commenting, sometimes we post questions with answers and a second person gives as followup question, which can be answered in a comment, in my opinion, but the formatting for a comment is really limited. While Stack Overflow itself is a great tool, the 'for Teams' product narrows the specificity of the questions researched to the Team's needs, which may be unique in the world, along with easily and immediately targeting the right people wich may know the solution to your problem.
