Earning reputation points helps as a continuous motivation to participate in helping or asking. Using tags to classify questions helps focus on each student's strengths. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the notification system very much. To get immediate notifications of site events, one needs to use third-party integrations like slack or automation tools like zapier to properly set up notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When working with huge teams, it's a great tool to use. It enhance collaboration and is a way to build a knowledge base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The process to raise or answer a question is pretty simple. For any new problem I need to solve or am stuck on, I look over to StackOverflow for help and in most cases, I find my query already raised or answered by someone else. I really like the reward points or badges that I get when a question or answer is upvoted and keeps me motivated to contribute more. I also appreciate the access it gives to collaborate with a large pool of experts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I couldn't think of any downsides as such. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The familiar look & feel of StackOverflow that most of us who work in tech-related fields are used to, as well as the fact that you can keep an entire knowledge base centralized on one place, for when a multitude of people keep asking the same questions, you can write a guide on StackOverflow for Teams and then send them to the knowledge base. StackOverflow way is deeply ingrained even here, but it doesn't feel like there's innovation at the level that it can fully reach.
In my opinion, StackOverflow for Teams should have its own charm instead of being just like a normal StackOverflow, new experimental features and stuff like that will always be appreciated by people who love them, and for those who don't - they just don't have to use them. It can be a little confusing to follow. I have a hard time understanding where to reply so I usually end up posting one response in the wrong place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Searching for answers in StackOverflow for Teams is so much easier than trying to find them through email, help documents, or other collaboration tools. The fact that the content is community-sourced means that you're getting real answers to real problems from others who have gone before you. And if the answer isn't already in the system, subject matter experts are notified in a timely manner that you need help, and they have real incentive to respond and help you out! The integration with Slack isn't the best it could be, but the Slack integration is free to all tiers including the Freemium tier, so it's definitely nothing to complain about! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it has all the functionality that Stack Overflow provides, but since it is a private team, we can focus on relevant matters and keep it a bit more flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One downside I've found is that it lacks of customization features, while it keeps it simple, being able to visually and functionally customize the platform could generate more practical usage Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best way to handle questions/answers is with a voting concept to finalise answer better way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's great to have an internal tool directly associated with a tool I already use. It's a great place to share information between developers. I haven't used competing tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing I dislike. But, since I usually query stack overflow via google, those search results obviously don't show the internal questions/answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
