We have some internal issues which can be posted in Stack Over Flow and other team members can see that and save their time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it's really complicated to find answers within the team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Stack Overflow for Teams:
- Sets the expectation that an immediate response is not expected
- Creates a collective knowledge base
- Prevents knowledge from getting lost in emails and Slack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This point is not something I dislike about the product, just a comment on how it does not solve everything. Not all content is appropriate for the Q&A format, e.g., discussions that are opinion-based. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are a small team but still have a lot of moving parts. All team members are so used to using the public StackOverFlow for day-to-day things that are in public domain. However, when there are questions on an internal library or on an error log, we had to resort to a wild goose chase on Slack. We started making documents called "cheat sheet", "troubleshoot" etc which had some success but lacked a way to search. That is when I came across StackOverFlow for teams, which was like God sent. It makes knowledge management simple and inviting. So, the question is Why did StackOverFlow not think of this before? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
May be a plugin to convert some Slack conversations into StackOverFlow questions? This ie because users do not think they can ask almost anything on this tool and are a bit guarded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Conversations are not lost in Slack threads. It is easy to search and find if something has been encountered and solved already. The interface is familiar to everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We already have tons of internal documentation websites. Sometimes it feels like information is getting duplicated in multiple places, with no indication whether it's updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very well organized and easy to use. I like answering questions and getting reputation for it, it's a nice way to motivate me to contribute. I also like being able to ask for help Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't really like the fact that you can't downvote posts unless you have gained a certain reputation, though i understand that it's to avoid spam from people who dont contribute Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Stack Overflow Teams can make your questions more specific. This means that I can ask questions that most of the internet would not have run into. But for the teams, I can ask much more specific questions about the specifics of why my installation isn't working. Why my exact code line isn't working. As most of the things I use are the same specifications as what my team will use. If I ran into a specific problem chances are one of my teammates has to and they know exactly what they did to get past it. And they can spread that wisdom and knowledge off to me. I haven't run into many things wrong with Stack Overflow teams. I think one thing is it can be incredibly easy to accidentally leave the main stack overflow teams website. Sometimes I randomly click somewhere and it will take me to the overall Stack Overflow website and out of my own team's website which can be annoying. But luckily the colorways of both are vastly different meaning that I instantly know that I've left my team's Stack Overflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Instead of going to a person and asking for the solution to a particular issue, we post it on Stack Overflow and the respective person provides the solution. This saves time of both people also if someone else triggers that same issue they quickly find it on stack overflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As we have integrated stack overflow webhook in Slack. So, we get notifications of all technical questions. It would be better to get a technology-wise webhook to make it more helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The queries get overwhelming and there is no capture of how quickly the queries are resolved. a bit of more gamification will help teammates be more active on Stack Overflow for Teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The way stackoverflow searches the answers for you proactively is by far the best! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its hard to configure the email notifications, it took me weeks to disable the daily and weekly summary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to get started and search for information, standard StackOverflow approach to reputation. Easy to tag and edit posts with full audit records. Easy to post screenshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was not able to disable email reminders so had to turn off email completely. SO for Teams does not encourage users to accept answers. Recently besides normal SSO it also starts asking for alternative email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
