I have been using Sitecore DXP for over a decade now and I can attest that it stands out as a powerful all-in-one DXP solution. As an architect, I had privilege of working with various Digital Agencies and Sitecore Partners in implementations for their clients in a wide range of industries. The clients marketer quickly get comfortable creating content as well as using advanced tooling such as Personalization and Analytics. Sitecore DXP's comprehensive toolkit (covering CMS, email, e-commerce, analytics) allows you to run omnichannel campaigns from one platform, ensuring a consistent customer experience.

Sitecore DXP workloads support most use cases from clients who need on-premises infra through to a fully managed cloud offerings. What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Sitecore have multiple products and multiple feature based on our requirement we can easily use and integrate with other.I used sitecore daily with multiple products and with multiple projects, and for new scenarios or blocker we can easily connect with sitecore team and getting proper support and guide. also I tried all the combination of sitecore products and it is easy to implement. it is perfect all products platform that can cover all the project scenarios with built in features.

Whether using headless architecture, modern front-end frameworks, or composable DXP components, the platform supports rapid development and innovation.

What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Sitecore DXP comes with all the features and tools required to build an experience that a customer desires. From Content Management to serving personalized content and all the Marketing automation features.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Its biggest positive is also kind of a negative where all the tools to support build experience have resulted in the core Platform DXP not evolving in the Content Managment experience. The improvements in Content Authoring experience have been on the back burner. Content Authors are a major voice when customers evaluate any big projects be it upgrades or transformation.

DXP being a monolithic product is complex to install and maintain.

What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

The backend user interface is easy to use for our marketing teams, both in terms of basic content creation as well as some of the more advanced features that allow authors to personalize elements to different audiences.

As a developer, extensibility is a real strength of the product. If something is not available out of the box, then the steps required to customise a new feature follow similar patterns across the platform. There is also a large community of developers who love the product and are happy to help with any issues.

One of the main selling points is the ability to profile users as they navigate the site, then be able to target content accordingly. Over the last few years, there has been a large push to make the product more composable, but at the cost of further development of the original product. All products/features now come as new services or modules that need to be purchased at a significant cost. Whilst I appreciate they are a business and need to make returns on their investments, this leaves long standing customers who are not able to further invest; left with a product with less new features. Composability enables us to bring our existing best in class stack and introduce new stack at will to accomplish our marketing goals. I like the simplified interfaces. We are a somewhat digitally immature marketing organization, and simplification for our designers, authors, agencies and marketing operations teams is an imperative. The hard part with a fully customizable platform is how much and what to customize, and to not get too far away from OOTB (Out of the Box) - and how long it takes to spin up everything the first time, because there are a lot fo foundational decisions to make in the early going. One aspect that stands out is the complexity and lack of clarity in Sitecore's licensing structure. Licensing can sometimes feel opaque, and clearer, more streamlined information would help partners, customers.

Additionally, although Sitecore has made noticeable improvements recently, the technology stack, especially on the front-end side, still has some distance to go to align fully with broader market standards. For many front-end developers who are used to modern frameworks and industry practices, transitioning into the Sitecore ecosystem can be challenging. Greater alignment with widely adopted front-end technologies would ease onboarding and help expand the pool of developers able to deliver solutions within the platform. I work primarily with Platform DXP Products (XM, XP) providing support and development to Sitecore clients. As a developer, what I like best about Sitecore is its customizability and its community. I have never encountered a user request that I have had to tell them is impossible, but have instead always been able to come up with a creative solution made possible by Sitecore's flexibility, customizability, and huge wealth of community resources with Stack Overflow, blog posts, Slack, etc. There is also reliable customer support when we encounter uncommon issues. Sitecore's Experience Platform is a robust CMS and digital experience product. And it's continually evolving in its features - delivering future-facing tools to web marketers. As a Sitecore product owner for more than 12 years, I have seen the product evolve and meet my daily marketing needs on the regular. Even now, it's integrating AI into the CMS system to help content editors with their daily content and marketing needs. In addition, the company continues to push the boundaries in enhancing its personalization, analytics and other web needs such as DAMs, Search and more. While anyone familiar with a content management system will be able quickly learn and use Sitecore DXP, it still requires a bit of a learning curve. The product's features are unique enough to require product owners to take learning classes, watch webinars or read blogs on how to most effectively use the product. The good side to this is that the Sitecore community is full of users that are generous with their knowledge sharing.
