Rev is okay for captions. We have been using them multiple times weekly for over 10 years. We love their interface for the most part. Very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lately we have been getting way to many grammatical errors and captions being way out of sync. Having to submit multiple times, even with their premiere service option for more seasoned captioneers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rev save me a massive amount of time getting Shows Captioned so our TV Station meets FCC Requirements, and viewers with hearing impairments can enjoy our Locally Produced Programing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Cost has gone up considerably, since I stared using Rev. I realize cost has to go up for all the New Services Y'all create but maybe offer a discount for regular users. Something like, if I Pay for 5 Hours of Captioning I get 1 Hour for Free (or even Half Price.) Or, since I only use Human Captioning and none of the other Services, maybe a Discount Membership. The task was to create a closed caption for the video in VTT format for Hubspot Academy lessons.
The trial was enough to get what I wanted.
1. Quickly processed the video (I didn't even check what input formats it accepts - it accepted and that's it)
2. quickly made the subtitles
3. easily and intuitively displayed the subtitles, they can be edited directly in the editor
4. delivered in the format requested by Hubspot
I saw everything for the first time - starting from googling the meaning of the word "caption", and ending with googling "VTT format".
I tried a few services on top of Google - but they required me to pay at the beginning.
With Rev, I completed my task without problems. I recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
they sent me a letter, however I unsubscribed from any newsletters. But it's not a problem. I'm sending welcome letters too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am a freelance copywriter and journalist, which means I am regularly conducting interviews with experts on a wide range of topics and across numerous sectors. I use Rev to record and transcribe all interviews and am impressed with its general accuracy, even with more niche or complex topics. It has made a big difference in efficiency compared to the days past in which I would have transcribed by hand! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The AI summary feature is not yet an accurate or detailed enough representation of meetings and interviews to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to use. Transcripts are done processing very quickly. The different types of meeting summary options are all fantastic, and the summaries themselves are superb. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I might like to change is the ability to rename my meetings later if I wanted to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our agency uses rev almost daily to provide near instant AI rough drafts for depositions. Our clients love the shareable links which synchronize the transcript with a video. The summary AI summary and question bot are also great and look forward to their expansion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that Rev had some type of integration with chat GTP or some other AI software to allow me to have it analyze multiple transcripts so clients can get insights and help of AI over multiple transcripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve been using Rev.com for transcripts and I love it. It’s fast, accurate, and saves me a ton of time. Super helpful for keeping my content organized and professional without the headache. Highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, I don’t dislike anything—maybe the price could be a bit lower, but overall I love it. It’s reliable, easy to use, and has made my workflow so much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of the interface, uploading the files are simple. The human transcription is really good. We use it a lot. It was quick to implement with our current dictation and recording devices. When our typist quit, it was easy to jump into Rev and get started right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly can't think of much. In fairness, the AI transcription is on par with the other companies we trialed, but the ability to convert to human transcription made a huge difference with interviews that saved a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rev is super easy to use and just get's the job done. It's got a great interface and loads of features to choose from. We use it for every podcast we do! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hmmm nothing that I can think of. Might be good to have some integrations with other software like podcast hosts or something! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How quickly you receive the transcriptions. It's typically a fast turnaround. And it's always very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This isn't a huge deal, but sometimes the layout of the transcript or how it's formatted is different. I'm assuming that's because there are different transcriptionists, but it would be nice if there was always a consistent format within the transcript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
