As a broadcaster and audio journalist, I conduct dozens and dozens of hours worth of interviews every year. I've always wished I could quickly get a transcript of the conversations I had for quick archiving and searching when I KNEW someone said something but I couldn't quite remember who or when. Now with Rev, not only do I have transcripts, but I have the ability for an AI to produce podcast show notes within seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The transcriptions are 99 percent accurate. It'd be nice to get to that 99.9 percent mark where it can tell what I'm saying by using context clues rather than having the occasional typo in the transcription. But that's very minor. Overall, I love the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rev removes a solid 50 hours of work for us here at our Forensic Psychology Office. We utilize it for our dictations and for sending off to our typist. We typically dictate reports and then our typist would attempt to write it out, but with Rev the work load is reduced significantly.
It has helped tremendously with various lawyers, courts, and judges who request immediate reports and now we are able to confidently provide these reports in a much more efficacious and timely manner Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The dictionary to add words to the word bank was removed. Now our reports have gone down SIGNIFICANTLY in accuracy.
We were told that it was one of the most unique things about Rev and part of the reason we signed up for a yearly contract. We are extremely disappointed with this removal and have been messaging frequently to see its prompt return. We hope to see it by the time our contract renews as we have been wanting to advise other offices to join us using Rev. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy how easy Rev makes it to submit files for transcription and the number of features/add-ons they offer (e.g., time stamping, rush order, additional languages, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Dropbox integration with Rev seems to be hit or miss. A lot of our raw video content lives on Dropbox, and I've tried uploading files to Rev directly from Dropbox with mixed results. More often than not, I receive a generic "network error" message, and end up having to download the file from Dropbox and re-uploading directly to Rev, waisting valuable time. I love how quickly Rev transcribes interviews once I upload them, even if the speakers' accents or audio quality make it difficult to clearly understand. I really love that it integrates with Zoom so that recordings of my conference calls get transcribed automatically with no hassle. After experimenting with several different transcription services and softwares, even doing it myself and hiring other humans to transcribe for me, I can confidently say that Rev is the best accuracy and the fastest turnaround, making it the best value for my transcription needs. I've even been experimenting with the AI functionality to ask additional questions about my transcripts, and it's been helpful in organizing information and collating key themes from my interviews. There are some minor placements and buttons within the editing screen that aren't instantly intuitive, but these are always improving and really don't slow me down enough to complain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a professional video producer and I've been a Rev user for years. I love the interactive transcript interface so I can watch my video while I read the transcripts. They are easy to share with clients and my editing team. Great accuracy and fast turnaround at a very reasonable price. One of my favorite features is the ability to export and EDL from highlighted transcripts. It saves us a ton of time in post production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Video uploads have gotten a little slow lately. We just get around that by uploading the videos to our Vimeo account (which we usually do anyway) and then share the URL to Rev for the transcript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rev allows me to stay in the moment and truly listen during meetings, knowing that, if I have any questions or lack the recall, I can easily return to the data. It's been a true timesaver as well because it allows me to create and keep notes on each meeting with very little time investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one downside to using Rev is there seems to be a disconnect between devices. For instance, when you record on your phone, the data may not be retrievable from a desktop website and visa versa. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From The Bureau
We've had a great experience using Rev's transcription service. Their team consistently delivers fast turnarounds without compromising on accuracy — even with complex or technical audio. The platform is easy to use, and the pricing is very reasonable, making it a reliable choice for media and investigative work. Highly recommended for any newsroom or content team that values speed, precision, and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area for improvement: while Rev handles standard and technical language well, some esoteric terms and nuanced phrasing from interviews — especially in sensitive or cross-cultural contexts — could benefit from a more intuitive handling or optional editorial flagging.
Still, Rev remains an essential tool in our workflow, and we highly recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The different summaries that are generated after uploading a video or audio file! I use these summaries to easily review and learn the most information I need to remember, for both business and personal situations. It is truly a life saver for effort and time! They also have great customer service! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The transcriptions are 95% on point. Sometimes, the grammar or punctuation has to be manually edited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am very impressed with Rev. I've been using it for the last six or so weeks.
The transcription works amazingly well when the source voice recording is clear. I'm am amazed at it's ability with bad quality recordings with multiple people talking over each other etc.
The software has helped me immensely in creating documents for the court system that I can quickly refer back to.
The AI summaries are quite useful for getting a quick overview of the voice recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The transcription text editor could do with some work, it does feel a little clunky at times.
I am concerned that 2FA was not required to change/reset the password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a freelance writer, so I do a lot of interviews that need to be transcribed. I used to spend hours transcribing until I started using Rev. One of my clients introduced me to this service and I am so happy she did because it has saved me a ton of time--and spared my aching fingers! Also, I appreciate that they created a subscription model that makes it easier to use the service often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the transcripts generated by AI are pretty accurate compared to other services I have seen, they could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
