The price! Rev Max is only $29 (maybe $30?). I used to use Trint, which kept raising their prices ... it was $125/month when I switched.
I upload a file, and Rev transcribes quickly, pushes out captions for video ... it does what it's supposed to, does it fast, and doesn't cost too much. Rev also isn't trying to shoehorn in a ton of useless "new features" to justify price hikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface on the transcription page isn't as good as some alternatives, but at the price point, it's worth the teeny tiny inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a creative professional I frequently write complicated grant applications and proposal documents. Rev helps me to easily distill information from previous artist talks or interviews. I also use it frequently to create spoken first drafts, which is a tremendous time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the format of the transcription is a bit funky but that is easily overcome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AI transcriptions (which we use a lot of) are quite quick and cheap. We love these as our creative leads and partners are able to watch the video while reviewing the transcripts. This is much better than just providing .docs or something.
Our clients a lot of the time also request SRT files and we feel confident the people making the captions are following guidelines, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The upload speed is very slow at times (to upload videos). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This has been an incredible resource for me! There have been times when I've needed to record a conversation and transcribe it. Not only does this do a fabulous job of that basic skill, but it also summarizes, points out key themes, pulls out important quotes, and gives you bullets on main points of the meeting. It makes it very easy to identify placement sections or certain things were said and it's also nice to be able to edit it. I have already recommended this to my son who was a lawyer. Also to my husband who is a president of a company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very secure. At first I found it difficult to copy and paste some of the transcribed material when I wanted to do that into an email. It's very easy to send a secure email with it encrypted and I think it was intentional in making that secure sharing a priority. I don't think this is something I necessarily dislike but it is something I've had to learn to work with. Trying to copy and paste isn't quite as simple as usual, but I was able to eventually figure it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love using Rev as a free video transcription tool. It's very helpful and makes me job more efficient. I use it often throughout the week and with the credit model that refreshes every month, I am able to use this tool for free, it's truly a great software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love Rev, I guess the only downside would be if I ran out of credits in a month and had to purchase more, but the videos I transcribe are quite short, so it's really perfect for me. No complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rev has saved me so much time by transcribing meetings and interviews quickly and accurately. I'm not the most technologically advanced, but Rev is easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue I've had with Rev is in the app -- a file that had issues with the upload won't allow me to delete it from the app, but it doesn't show up when I'm on the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using mostly the AI transcription service lately, but I have ordered many human transcripts too. I find the AI ones to be available almost immediately and of very acceptable quality. I like Rev because you can choose the qualilty level and pay accordingly. I've been using them for years, and haven't felt the need to look anywhere else for transcription services. It's easy to find my transcripts and to find the exact spot in a recording where I might want to verfy the transcription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The AI transcripts don't capture the transition from one speaker to the other. I find that the end of speaker 1's sentence is attributed to speaker 2. or maybe it's the beginning of Speaker 2's sentence is attributed to Speaker 1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having a reliable transcription of recordings and podcasts has been easy with Rev. The accuracy is very good and the option for a live human transcriber seems a wonderful option at times. The summary options are useful and the price is perfect for my budget and a bargain. The app allows me to just start a recording and it does the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like any transcript, recognizing the different voices is problematic and when two or more are speaking at the same time it gets weird. I still wonder if the AI being used can get better at recognizing my voice and terminology in a way that is more accurate. I am looking for an option for this to record my phone calls on my android phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Transcription used to be the bane of my existence. Rev took away my dread and procrastination of transcribing and allowed me to write the articles instead.
I like the quick turnaround and the transcription is very accurate, typically needing only minor edits, usually for misspelled names.
I also like having an archive of the actual interviews recorded.
Cost is affordable and consistent, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That I took so long to find it! Been a subscriber since Nov. 2018 and used Rev on a piecemeal basis for about a year before subscribing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been primarily utilizing this in meeting settings for note taking. It is a quick and accurate way to reference important details that may have otherwise been missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice if people could state their name and present at the meeting start and then as the meeting progresses instead of it using speaker 1, 2, 3 etc it would utilize their name.
It would be nice to be able to copy transcripts from your phone on the app to google docs. There are points where someone may have said something you would like to edit or remove to send out to other team members and that would be nice to do immediately on your phone.
