What do you like best about Optimizely Content Management System?

The intuitive user experience the makes it easy to focus on the content is EPiServers strongest feature. Most CMS solutions can be used to create and maintain websites, but the difference is all in how they do it. Publishing platforms are marketing tools for most companies, and as such it should be possible to do complex updates without tech support. Other wise you loose the agility and speed in the marketing process. EPiServer really shines when it comes to delivering a tool for the marketers, and not for IT savvy people. What do you dislike about Optimizely Content Management System?

Dislike is a strong word, but the its fairly limited when it comes to integration with other systems and sources. The integration with its commerce solution still needs some work and its obvious that it glued together and not really integrated yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you are planning to use it as a CMS and a tool form marketing by marketers, go for it! If you want to create more complex sites with a lot of integration and commerce, then you should probably consider looking at other solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Optimizely Content Management System solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are managing a multi lingual corporate website for a software company. We increased traffic and most other important KPIs as well as gained control over the publishing process. Our prior solution was an open source CMS and the users often needed support from our IT staff to manage simple tasks like updating the navigation hierarchy etc. The site is now managed by our marketing staff and they can do all updates without support from IT or consultants. The users really like working in EPiServer and I think that is very important that creative people can enjoy their tools in order to stay creative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Optimizely Content Management System?

Its .net based, so good for those companies with a developer/IT infrastructure based on microsoft products. Its scalable and configurable to take into account having a lot of users & websites. Episerver also ties into its own marketing products well, as well as external products. Easy to pick up for editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optimizely Content Management System?

It was fairly easy to use. The editor part of the product was very intuitive for most users. The administration was also pretty straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
