What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

What I like best about HiBob is how user-friendly and visually intuitive the platform is. From day one, it’s been easy to navigate for both HR teams and employees. The onboarding workflows are smooth and customizable, making the new hire experience seamless. I also appreciate the rich people analytics and customizable dashboards—it helps us make data-driven decisions quickly. Plus, the ability to integrate with other tools in our tech stack (like Slack, ATS platforms, and payroll providers) makes HiBob a central hub for all our HR needs. Honestly, it's like HiBob read our minds. From the super-smooth onboarding workflows to those surprisingly delightful birthday reminders (yes, we celebrate everyone now), it’s the kind of HRIS that actually makes people want to use it. The UI is modern, clean, and doesn’t feel like it time-traveled from 2004 (looking at you, legacy systems 👀). The best part? No platform's perfect (not even Bob, sorry Bob!). Sometimes, reporting can feel like solving a Rubik’s cube-doable but not without a few YouTube tutorials or extra support pings. HiBob helped us escape the chaos of juggling multiple tools and endless email threads. Before Bob, onboarding a new hire meant chasing five people across three platforms-now it’s all automated and actually enjoyable (for us and the new hire!). It’s also bridged gaps between teams with better visibility and communication, and made performance reviews way less painful-structured, timely, and easy to track. What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

What I like most is how easy it is to use and how much it actually does. At our company, we use HiBob for a bunch of things—booking time off,, doing peer and manager reviews, payroll, looking up our employee benefits (and checking org charts). It’s nice to have all that in one place without needing to jump around different tools or ask HR.

The interface is clean and modern, and it doesn’t take much effort to figure things out, even if you’re new. I probably use it a few times a week, and it’s just super convenient—especially when I need to quickly check something or take action without bugging anyone else. There’s not much I don’t like, but a couple of things could be better. Sometimes switching between different areas (like from benefits to reviews) feels a little clunky—it’s not a huge deal, but it could be smoother. And there are some parts we just don’t use, like the social feed/timeline stuff, which kind of just sits there and makes things feel a bit more cluttered than they need to be.

What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

As a Product Support Engineer at Mindtickle, I use HiBob regularly for tasks like applying for leaves, peer reviews, performance reviews, and 1:1s with my manager. What I like most about HiBob is its clean and intuitive user interface. It’s easy to navigate, even when switching between different modules like time off, reviews, and goals. What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I like it's layout, how it looks/acts like social media. How kudos and company posts and announcements are shown as a Facebook page and your follower list is next to it with people's whereabouts. It just makes it easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I think the Bob AI needs a lot of work. After attending a Hibob webinar that spoke about it, I went on to ask it some basic questions to understand what it can do - all answers came back with either completely irrelevant information or nothing at all.

I also dislike the surveys feature as when we do annual reviews for it, for a brief moment they become open to everyone in the company to see however it should be confidential.

I also dislike the Employee of the Month system as you cannot send a reason for nominations, or pick more than one person. We would like this as we have two office locations.

I also dislike that it cannot be enforced, or sent reminders for people to upload their WFH and office days to HiBob. There's also no option to have it as a log so we can see the data of who is doing their full office days or who is not logging them appropriately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps us with Employee Engagement - if we post on HiBob it also goes to peoples inbox and generally posts are liked and commented on which betters the culture.

It helps us with our annual reviews on employees and our anonymous surveys.

It helps us log time, attendance and sick days.

What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

As a system its fairly in depth and thorough in terms of what functionality it offers. I also appreciated its flexibility - for example our organisation requires PTO tracking but not approval, and HiBob offers that. Its also actually simple enough to use as a regular employee which I find most HR platforms do not really bother with. We now use it for payroll too which is very convenient to keep everything in one place.

Additionally, unlike a lot of other platforms we've tried in the past, it is very good at syncing your teams holiday to Google Calendar, which is such a useful feature - HiBob is not precious about you needing to use their platform to access the data, there's a priority on what is actually convenient and useful to you. What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

There are times I've struggled with the Employee Review system and figuring out how to review others, how to see my reviews etc. Part of that comes down to the fact that we do annual reviews and the system has tended to change when we use it once a year.

Additionally, I would appreciate being able to customise my home screen. There is a focus on social interactions between your colleagues, making it look like a social network. We don't use it for that, and I would like to be able to pick a different home screen. I do however appreciate that the very first thing I see on my home screen is "Request Time Off" which is most likely the thing I'm visiting HiBob for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HiBob HRIS solving and how is that benefiting you?

HiBob has managed to keep everything we actually need from HR/Payroll that shouldn't require human interaction in one single place - there's no reason to speak to someone to get a reminder of my exact salary, or to find my last 12 months of pay slips, or to request holiday. What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I like the platform's page formats and navigation. It's easy to use, and in the three years I've had an account, I've only had to reach out to HiBob Support maybe once? I mostly use it to manage my PTO requests, but I also love the Org Chart feature. During my company onboarding, this was a massive benefit for me as a visual learner and new joiner, and even today, it's great to reference as our structure has continued to evolve. What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

Only two things come to mind. First, is that we used to have painfully long employee surveys hosted in HiBob. However, this was an "us" problem and, thankfully, the surveys have since been optimized and no longer suck - yay. Second, which is also likely an "us" thing, but I input my birthday backwards lol (I'm US -based, company us UK-based,so probably boils down to me being American/not reading). This meant I had a HiBob second birthday curse (getting wished Happy Birthday twice a year).
