"Emulator best alternative"

What do you like best about BrowserStack?

We can now test our mobile apps and webapps on several other devices and browsers. Its live and App Live features enables us to perform manual testing on number of devices and browsers on single dashboard.

It is more accurate then any emulator as they say they offers us the real devices to test on.

Apart from Manual testing we can also write our test case and manage it from Browserstack itself which make testing process very seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Such real-world testing provides more accurate insights into how applications perform across various devices, operating systems, and network conditions, ultimately enhancing the overall quality and user experience.

While the platform's interface is commendable, offering a user-friendly environment for developers, there are occasional drawbacks related to device reliability. Some users have reported instances where the devices themselves exhibit instability, leading to crashes or erratic behavior during testing sessions. Despite the platform's robust interface, these sporadic issues with device performance can introduce uncertainties and hinder seamless development processes. What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Despite configuring my Mac appropriately, I encountered difficulty in viewing and checking HTTPS localhost. This issue persisted despite troubleshooting efforts, leading to frustration and delays in my development workflow. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the problem, the HTTPS localhost remained inaccessible, posing a significant obstacle to testing and debugging processes. BrowserStack is addressing a crucial need in the development process by providing a platform that allows users to test their applications on various browsers and operating systems. One of the primary challenges developers face is ensuring compatibility across different environments, especially when targeting specific versions of browsers or operating systems. In my case, I encountered the need to test my application on lower iOS versions and Safari versions, which can be particularly challenging to do on physical devices due to limitations in hardware availability and software compatibility. BrowserStack offers a solution to this problem by providing a wide range of virtual environments, including older iOS versions and Safari browsers, allowing me to simulate and test my application's performance across these configurations.

By leveraging BrowserStack, I was able to replicate the exact conditions that my application would encounter on different devices and browsers, enabling thorough testing and debugging. This not only saved me valuable time and resources that would have been spent setting up physical testing environments but also provided a level of flexibility and scalability that is essential in today's fast-paced development landscape. What do you like best about BrowserStack?

My team utilizes several of the BrowserStack tools like Live (for browser compatibility tests) and Percy (for Visual automated testing). We like how easy it is to use and especially like the screenreader support on the browser and mobile devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

There's no support for screenreader (Voiceover) on iPhone/iPad yet, which is a shame. Hopefully the support will be available soon! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
