What do you like best about Workiva?

The ability to link data across documents has been a standout feature — it ensures consistency and reduces the risk of errors when changes occur. I also found the collaboration features extremely useful, especially when working across departments or with external auditors. Everyone can work from the same version in real time, which has helped eliminate confusion and version control issues.

While there was a learning curve at first, once I got familiar with the platform, the workflow became much more streamlined. What do you dislike about Workiva?

In my experience, Workiva has been a highly effective tool for managing complex financial reporting. It improved accuracy and efficiency, especially with its ability to link data across documents and support real-time collaboration. These features helped reduce errors and made cross-team work much smoother.

What do you like best about LiveFlow?

LiveFlow works great, it integrates QBO with either Google Sheets or Excel, which is helpful as you may have clients using either software so you are not limited in how you can serve them. The dashboards are also a great feature, however I wish it wasn't an upcharge to use them. It's great to be able to provide your clients a link to a clean dashboard that they can reference whenever they want and it will be updated as long as the QBO file is updated. What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

The biggest downside to LiveFlow is the price. It's not the cheapest option out there, and while I feel the software is worth it if you are charging appropriate fees to your clients for your services, what I don't like is how there are added fees for new features. What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

LiveFlow allows me to be able to pull data out of QuickBooks Online and turn it into a useable dashboard or spreadsheet that is easy for the client's the read. It can update automatically in the background, so if you provide your clients access to the dashboard/sheet, they can have real-time data at their fingertips provided the QBO file is updated. Support is generally responsive and knowledgeable, though occasionally more complex issues take time to resolve. The implementation process requires some planning and training, but with the help of onboarding resources and support, it’s manageable. Once set up, the system is intuitive with regular use. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I have used many small accounting and larger ERP systems. None work like Acumatica. When I said this system was written to run in the cloud - I really mean it. You can tell the company worked hard with industry experts to plan, design, and then program a software solution. This is not legacy software attempting to run in the cloud.

You can import and export from any system screen. Most common user screens have the ability with one click like sales order but for power users you can easily hit any screen/table you want.

I required very fancy customer discounts. This was the only system that could handle it.

I have over 100k SKUs and 50k bins. The system didn't complain. No user screens started to choke either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

I originally purchased a perpetual license many years ago. Unfortunately, those are no longer offered. My annual maintenance price has not changed each year which was a pleasant surprise. This year I was forced to upgrade to the latest version or I would get penalized 25% each month. It was in the middle of our busy season and nobody wanted to go through a major upgrade that could cause issues. I can understand support not wanting to help if we are on an old version but to force us to upgrade or fine us harshly is just down right abuse from a vendor. If that practice doesn't stop then I can see people leaving.

Don't try hosting this software on a virtual server. It will not perform well. Make sure you get a dedicated server. Also don't use the MySQL database. The only one that works is the MSSQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My overall experience with Drivetrain has been great. The tool is extremely easy to use and very intuitive. Producing new reports is seamless and user friendly. The implementation took ~ 3 months and was quite smooth. The DT implementation team made sure that the platform was up and running in time for our planning cycle. Additionally, Rohit who lead the implementation, has been incredibly responsive, collaborative, and made sure that the tool met our needs. Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

Real=time updates make dashboarding and reporting quite simple. Once the reports are set up, it's pretty easy to adjust time periods to create new versions.

The modeling and forecasting is similarly pretty straightforward, and robust enough for most use cases. For example, it's pretty simple to work from an existing expense line item and forecast it forward using any number of formulaic approaches (flat, grow by x%, grow based on some other metric like headcount, etc.). What do you dislike about Mosaic Tech?

There is definitely a learning curve with regards to creating formulas and linking the elements of a financial model. What do you like best about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?

As an integrations specialist, I've enjoyed the straight-forward approach to a Business Process. I'm a daily user, both in front and back end. I've implemented everything a Small/Med Size business could need, and rarely depended on a service provider to make-sense of what I was doing. Migrating our previous systems to this platform would've been impossible without the Service Providers available for the product. Being a Microsoft product, the ecosystem of instant-connections like Power Automate, Power BI, and the extensible API within BC itself, have all made Business Central work with our business very effectively. What do you dislike about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?

There is not much to dislike. Unlike other ERP's, Business Central relies on an intentional action-and-effect process for most workflows in a business. Because of this, user errors are almost always visible and hard to hide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solving and how is that benefiting you?

Business Central has tied in 3 Shopify stores, an EDI platform, a previous business history, and over 60 employees to conduct a multi-million dollar business. In addition, our highly regulated market requires us to be able to customize our system exactly as we require it. Preventing unregulated sales, embedding procedures that feel native to the application, and providing opportunities to employees within Finance, HR, Sales, Customer Support, Warehouse, and Software Design. What do you like best about G-Accon?

Quickbooks is notoriously hard to use for an accountant who simply wants raw data tables, since almost everything in that program is formatted and not really adapted to data analysis. G-accon is a fantastic help in rearranging the data and creating recurring reports to increase the financial control! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about G-Accon?

It is not always able to clear data that is supposed to be hidden or archived. For example, our customer list was flooded with individual email adresses in the early days of the companies. Those could be hidden in Quickbooks, but G-accon does not separate them out when building customer lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rillet?

Rillet let us build our finance stack from scratch—the right way. As CFO, I’ve worked with NetSuite (bloated, expensive) and QuickBooks (rigid, limited). Rillet is in a different category entirely. The platform is fast, intuitive, and beautifully modern. I now have real-time visibility into our financials, our bank data flows in automatically, and our Stripe integration just works.

Their team also understands accounting. I’ve never had an ERP implementation feel this white-glove: they handled the heavy lifting, helped me design the chart of accounts, and were a Slack message away the entire time. What do you dislike about Rillet?

Nothing material so far. If anything, my only regret is that I didn’t go with Rillet sooner. At my last company, we went with NetSuite under investor pressure, and it slowed everything down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?

We’re finally off spreadsheets and building a clean, auditable, and scalable finance infrastructure. Rillet has been instrumental in helping us automate our workflows, unify our billing (Stripe), payroll (Rippling), and reporting systems and get investor-ready from day one.
