"Product is nice but the implementation was lacking"

What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

The product is easy to use once you are familiar with it. It seems to be able to handle all of our scenarios well, including Fire and Police overtime, which is different from standard overtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

Was very disappointed to find out the implementation team was in Pakistan. Was hoping for an English first team and we did not have that. Sometimes we had to figure things out for ourselves or push them to help us with things like Single Sign-On. Most of Support also seems to be off-shore. Sometimes the Support was still good, but communication is always challenging when there are language barriers. Had we known these things up front we would probably have gone a different direction. What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

As the IT director, I deal with updating the local software and maintaining it but I also use it to clock in and out every day. Any time I have an issue that requires customer support they are always very responsive, helpful, and courteous. It is very easy to maintain and easy for end users to use the site or device. What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

It could be that our school just doesn't have this feature enabled, but I would like to see hours worked for the week to date, so I know if I am at risk of going over 40 hours. As I haven't clocked in and out until this school year since 1993 it would help if I had a reminder to clock in when I get here. I probably just need to set a reminder on my phone. What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

TCP seems easy to use in many respects. The interface for employees to use to punch in and out is simple and straightforward. It is easy to look up punches and run reports with the employer login. It is also easy to edit punches and update employee information. Setting up new employees is appreciably straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

A lot of TCP's functions are not user friendly or intuitive. There are many different places one has to go outside of the actual employee's information in order to make sure timeclock rules are set up. I was never able to do this on my own and had to resort to using chat support, which often turned into needing a virtual meeting to address my issues. TCP handles the basic very well, but anything more complex all but necessitates contacting technical support (such as forcing punches to behave in a certain way based on certain parameters). I have often found that after fixing one issue, more issues pop up that were not forecasted on the original support call; therefore, I have had to make follow-up support requests to rectify the issue in its entirety. What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

Timeclock plus is very friendly for the end user. The basic layout and ease of use is appreciated when you have users that are busy and don't have a lot of time to deal with logins and learning more complicated systems. The customer service that I have received since I started using TCP for more has been second to none. I was not around for the original implementation, but the customer service team has basically walked me through many of the processes that should have happened before. What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

The only thing that we do not use TCP for is for substitute teachers. I find that there are SO many options when setting up that it does get overwhelming sometimes trying to find where to go in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

TCP helped us customize every step of our timekeeping process; creating a smooth transition for our hourly employees and greatly reducing data entry for our front office staff. We love TCP! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?

No downsides. One minor change we would make is to have the option to round time on reports. We go through dozens of cost codes each week and having a report that reflected time rounded up or down would be ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our employees were tracking time on paper before TCP! They can now change work orders (cost codes) via an app on their device quickly and keep their projects moving. Previously we were collecting the paper time sheets and manually entering them into two different spreadsheets (two types of time tracking for payroll and work order) and now we simply run a report for total time and we're done.
