The Call Center - just a personal pet peeve. Don't like going through a 3rd party center to get support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support is amazing. I needed support twice. Once when I had a box go down, no fault to Scale, and they over nighted me a new one. Even helpped me get my VM's back up. The other time, I moved my backplane to new switches and couldn't get back into my vms....at 10 PM. Called support, talked to a real person who had me back up and running in under 20 minutes. It's not widly known, at least in the public school technology field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy it is to use, I don't require a special certification and training to create and manage vm's and snapshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy it is to update and the documentation is great. The support is one of the best we have ever worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Scale Computing saves me time and effort managing my VM environment. All aspects of the VM lifecycle, from creation to management to failover are super simple and easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maintenance subscription costs towards the end of your hardwares life cycle are high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to spin up a new server ad hoc. Ease of Implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside is having to replace the hardware every six years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Super easy to spin up new vms and puts them on an easy to view platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing that I can think of. But the only thing that I would recomend to make better is how to migrate servers easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Scale Platform and interface are powerful while feeling intuitive and easy to use. Also, their support team is very responsive and ready to fix any issue without passing the buck and telling us to call a different vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much! I'd love to spend less, but I wish everything was less expensive these days. It is still great value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Solid platform with great support. Able to purchase the full stack: storage, compute, network, hypervisor, from one vendor so there is only one number to call! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
web interface sometimes makes it hard to tell which version of nodes or serial numbers are located Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the simple to use interface to deploy and manage a variety of servers in one area. The easy to run upgrades on nodes and the automatic rollover to the other nodes is fantastic. Quick snapshops and device replication to our disaster recovery site is very easy to use as well.
Getting quick information and support from the support chat is very nice and makes troubleshooting problems a painless experience. Being able to take old virtual machines and implement them into Scale is nice as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't had anything to dislike about Scale as of yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Scale Computing has been great for our school system. We run servers including domain controllers, deployment servers, file servers, print servers, etc. These all run very fast and reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initial setup could take a little work. Cost could be prohibitive for some. Other than that, not really any dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
