"Great for visuals, but takes a minute to get used to but resource intensive"
What do you like best about Tableau?

The best thing about Tableau is how easy it is to create beautiful, interactive dashboards once you're comfortable with the tool. It handles large datasets well, and the visual customization options are awesome. I love how it lets you bring data to life — makes it easier to explain insights to non-technical folks. Drag-and-drop interface is super helpful for quick analysis too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

The initial setup and learning curve can be a bit painful, especially if you're coming from Excel or Google Sheets. Some of the formulas and calculated fields feel unintuitive at first. Also, publishing dashboards and managing permissions can get confusing. It would be great if the user interface was a bit more beginner-friendly. Pricing is on the higher side too for small teams. "Great Tool for Daily Reporting and Data Visualization"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I use Tableau daily in my role on the marketing and analytics team. It helps us create dashboards to track campaign performance, user behavior, and business KPIs. Tableau makes it easy to connect to different data sources like Google Sheets, Snowflake, and Salesforce. I like how you can just drag and drop to build charts, but also do deeper analysis using filters, calculated fields, and level of detail expressions when needed.

Implementation was smooth and handled by our internal team. It didn’t take long to connect our main data sources and start building reports. The platform is easy to use once you get used to it, and it’s great for sharing dashboards across teams.

Tableau also helps our stakeholders explore the data on their own, so the analytics team doesn’t have to answer every small request. That saves us a lot of time and improves decision making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Some features are hard for new users to understand at first, especially advanced calculations. Dashboards can get slow if you're working with large datasets, so we sometimes have to optimize them or use extracts. Also, Tableau can be expensive if you need a lot of people to have access. "Tableau As my experience"
What do you like best about Tableau?

It's super visual and intuitive – I can build meaningful dashboards without heavy coding.

Drag-and-drop feels natural – It makes data exploration feel more like storytelling than technical work.

Quick insight discovery – I can connect data and instantly spot patterns or trends.

Professional yet flexible – Whether it's for internal analysis or client-ready reports, Tableau adapts easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Complex logic gets messy fast – When calculations or filters get too layered, it becomes hard to manage or troubleshoot.

Performance drops with big data – Dashboards slow down noticeably when working with large datasets or many filters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Performance Dashboard Overview"
What do you like best about Tableau?

You can pull a comprehensive set of agent metrics into one place—performance, solved rate, star ratings, SPH, etc.—without needing to chase it down in separate tools. The ability to export to Excel gives you control to slice and analyze the data how you want—even if it’s frustrating at times. You’re likely managing a lot of agents, and Tableau can handle large data sets, even if it’s not real-time. It's built for big-picture views across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Data lags behind, which means you can’t act on issues immediately. By the time agents see results (if they do), the moment to improve may have already passed. Even though you can export data easily, you have to spend time editing it in Excel—filtering, cleaning, formatting—just to make it usable. This defeats the point of an automated tool and adds to your workload. If data sources aren’t perfectly maintained, the dashboard can break or display errors, leaving you stuck or reliant on another team to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An elaborate tool for data visualization."
What do you like best about Tableau?

1. Unlike PowerBI's DAX , tableau's fomula language is a bit easier to construct and understand.

2. Large data are easily managed by tabealu where as powerbi might struggle with large quantum of data.

3. Visulization variety is more, one can develop visually intuitive visulization/ dashboards.

4. Documentation is extensive for the software and the tableau community is strong, any doubts can be clarified easily.

5. Can be used easily for Daily management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

1. There is learning curve to learn the tool

2. Unlike PowerBI integration in the Microsoft 365 environment, Tableau's integration in other software is limited (in fact in most cases it is null)

3. Tableau Liscence is expesive, I only learn Tableau bacause my organization wanted to use Tabelau. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Visual Analytics Tool"
What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau is one of the best tools out there when it comes to visualizing and working with data. It's really easy to use and visualize data in different formats. One of the things we like most is how easily it connects to different data sources, whether it’s an Excel sheet, a database, or cloud platforms. Its helping us for our day to day operations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

The major dislike is the cost—licenses are so expensive, and a startup company can't afford more licenses due to the high cost. Also, in some areas they have limited customization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of Integration with other apps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Not much in general. As my org data has more than 20M records to summarize from transactional data, it takes more time and consume space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tableau from and end user's perspective"
What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau dashboards are simple to use and make data exploration a whole lot easier. It supports a wide range of data sources, making it simple for me to create visualisations with multiple points of information. Drag-and-drop capability simplifies chart generation, and even complicated dashboards are simple to explore and customise. Tableau's interactive dashboards provide stakeholders with complete control over how they explore data. Tableau makes it easier to provide live updates and share reports with the community. It also works well on browsers and on mobile devices, making it easy to access from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau does not offer an AI assistant to walk you through difficult queries, and the learning curve is high for beginners. Working with large data sets has a negative impact on performance. In terms of pricing, PowerBI appears to be less expensive than Tableau. It is inconvenient to distribute dashboards outside of the Tableau environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best-in-Class Data Visualization with a Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau sets the standard for interactive data visualization. I love how easy it is to turn complex datasets into clear, beautiful dashboards and share insights with teams. The drag-and-drop interface is powerful once you get used to it, and the variety of charts, filters, and customization options is unmatched. The community support and resources are also huge plus points — there’s a forum or tutorial for almost any problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau can be overwhelming for beginners — building advanced dashboards requires time and practice. Performance sometimes slows down with large datasets or complex calculations. The licensing cost can be high for small teams or individual users, and version compatibility between Tableau Desktop and Server sometimes causes minor headaches. "Tableau - Easy way of Automated Reporting"
What do you like best about Tableau?

The ease of creating different Visuals either through drag or drop, or automatic setups. Getting data in a handy way every day helps a lot in monitoring as well as analysing different Key metrics. I use the same to create reports for the executives on a very frequent basis and at the same time am able to easily implement and make changes on the go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Consitional formatting is a bit difficult in tableau, I have to individually change for each row and can't have selective rows/conditions integrated into it. Excel provides this in a better way. Also, Copy pasting data from Tableau is not doable, which restrics the user to have to download the entire piece of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
