"Favorite PHP & Framework Development Tool Ever"

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

One of the only PHP IDE's on the market with native support for frameworks such as Laravel and CakePHP. I like its easy testing capabilities, with mock server and ability to connect to database and GIT through the same application. Along with specific framework based syntax highlighting and intelliSence, it makes it great for our work flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

Theres not really much to dislike. I came here trying multiple other IDE's and having problems with them. I'd say maybe better fonts for the Windows version of the application, but otherwise solid product with no complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering PhpStorm:

Buy the whole IntelliJ pack instead, its worth the price for the extra additions such as DataGrip. I personally switched my team to all IntelliJ products for better integration & optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

PHPStorm is an IDE built for web development in PHP, CSS and HTML. It is providing so many features that makes a web developer's life and work much easier and therefore improving development speed, team's morale and productivity, which in the end translate to faster time to market and stakeholders happier. It is not free, however the investment is very small comparable to the time saved during regular development tasks like: code refactoring, finding dependencies, going through different implementations of the same function for debugging etc. The ROI in dollar amount goes higher as your developers paycheck grows. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

Built for web development - this comes both ways, a positive and also a negative because I would like to have this IDE used by all my teams, developing in different programming languages, not only the PHP guys.

Also, given its complexity, to fully use this IDE as its full capabilities, one must spend time to learn it first.

phpStorm is the best PHP IDE ever, it supports many other languages I need: JavaScript, Typescript and even frameworks. There are plenty of plugins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel as if it still needs better integration with its own sister IntelliJ apps. I would like some way to link it with Android Studio or IntelliJ to connect with Java coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
