"Best IDE? PhpStorm!"

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

Its simple user interface makes coding much easier . It contains lots of tools and it is compatible with many plugins . It inspects the code and shows you if you have committed an issue and where it is . I like the new keyboard functions that have been added recently and the auto-completion , error prevention and search functions . The program includes Github, SASS support. What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

The program takes high memory usage and sometimes it gets a bit laggy on my comuter, usually when I am working with large files. I find it a bit expensive and it hasn't got a very good support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

I like the best the autocomplete function and autosync with FTP. It supports a wide range of frameworks, including Symfony, Drupal, WordPress and Joomla! so whatever you’re designing for, you can stick with your favorite software. You can write that code in a broad range of technologies, including HTML5, CSS, Emmet and Javascript, and still use refactoring and debugging, and see instant changes with Live Edit. What do you like best about PhpStorm?

Functionality and integrations. With PhpStorm you can integrate many helper plugins like syntax highlighters, boilerplates for extensions and plugins. I am happy that PhpStorm is getting better from version to version and the community is really large. Another good point is PhpStorm's plugins repository which includes more and more plugins to making each aspect of the development process more effective and time-consuming. What do you like best about PhpStorm?

For my use, the best feature of PhpStorm is database browsing, Remote host browsing, and all the deep-seated customizations for both the UI and Technical feasibility are the result of an amazing integrity and compatibility with most components and technologies. Furthermore, it has a built-in shell which is helpful for traversing code for debugging purposes with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

The only thing I dislike about PhpStorm is its high memory usage. Also to keep in mind that it requires a learning curve for utilizing all of its core components and extensible features are steep. So if you're coming from Sublime or Atom you might have a tough time getting used to IDE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering PhpStorm:

I would definitely recommend PhpStorm for PHP development it's well suited for any PHP development. It also integrates well with Symfony and Laravel. It has a plethora of plugins support from JetBrains and the community are available, like support for Docker, Vagrant, Angular, Vue.js and more useless (but fun) like a Nyan cat progress bar. I use PhpStorm for debugging PHP web-apps. It's great IDE and helps in pinpointing errors in the code via compilation, syntax highlighting and various other code inspection features.
