588 IBM Maximo Application Suite Reviews
the best feature without a doubt is filtering Work Orders created by Maintenance areas, and also knowing who is tracking an already created Work Order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How difficult it is to use on mobile browsers, it's hard to adapt to how poorly coordinated everything looks from within the application, it even crashes a lot if the intranet is unstable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As you would expect of an EAM system: manage, trend asset history, receive work requests, plan, schedule and execute/document work performed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maximo is terribly inefficient for the end user - i.e., the sheer number of clicks to complete a single operation; the amount of tabs/sub-tabs and pages to scroll through, etc.
IBM does not directly support their product - you must go through a middle man. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For years, I've used IBM products, and Maximo is one of my absolute favorites. I work with several different manufacturers, and Maximo allows me to keep track of them all. It's a comprehensive tool, and it's easy to use and navigate. It has a lot of great features, and it's incredibly versatile. The best feature is Asset Intelligence. You can track usage and predict when things will need maintenance or repair. As a result, I was able to be more efficient, and I was able to cut costs. I was able to focus on the things that mattered, and I was able to get rid of some of the unnecessary costs that we had been paying. I highly recommend this software. I find the product's graphical user interface to be its most intuitive, but it can also be irritating and difficult to change. The "quick-launch" bar, which you drag onto the desktop, seems to work on a set of hidden functions that are very difficult to find; this has become more aggravating since updating Adobe Flash and Firefox addons. I am confident that these issues will soon be a thing of the past once these and others have been fixed. Also, Guide files can be useful, but I think there's room for more functionality, like in apps for Android or iPhone where you can click something like a question mark, and it takes you straight to the relevant guide file.
