There are problems for everyone. The problems are sorted according to difficulty. There are also tutorials to get one started with programming or any other topic. So, it is very helpful for even beginners to start programming with HackerEarth. By solving problems difficulty wise, one can go from beginner to hard level without even realising. The leader board also keeps you motivated to solve as many problems as you can.
There are Hackathons as well. For the Hackathons, you don't need to have a team ready. You can join teams from the Hackathon dashboard or you can accept requests from others who want to join your team. So, it becomes really convenient for everyone to participate.
If you are looking for a job, HackerEarth provides you a ton of opportunities with Recruitment drives for moving forward with your career. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used HackerEarth for more than 3 years but I still haven't encountered something that I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have started loving hackerearth more than any other platform, simply because of their assessment and user interface.
1. Navigation from anywhere to anywhere is so simple and intuitive.
2. Codemonk on hackerearth is simply the best way to start competitive programming out there. It starts from very basic and goes upto harder topics.
3. Expected output while testing our code is my favorite feature. Here, we can check that any particular output, what should be the correct output and it makes it little easy for us as some really small mistake is being done there most of the times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that while practicing questions, hackerearth reveals the test cases and we can check that where our code is failing to serve it's purpose unlike any other platform. I don't like this feature as this makes it much easier, which I think is not good. If you have strong determination to not check them, it makes you more patient coder. The interface is very easy to use.
Multi-OS support is very rare thing found in any platform. I find it easier to navigate through the platform even using android devices.
The side-by-side sections of Tutorials and it's related Problems makes it easier for the users to practice the concepts learned in that particular section.
While adding new problems for the test, all types of fonts and supports are provided along with LaTeX support is the best feature which I didn't find in any other similar platforms.
One to one fights with real time user is a new concept introduced by Hackerearth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I didn't like about the interface is regarding the test creation which doesn't allow to use the problems from hackerearth library.
I had tried to collaborate with some other team members which I couldn't do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
it was really helpful for me while looking opportunity since 2016. Really enjoyed with hackathons, and hiring challenges. More content or information about different topics other than coding like machine learning, data science.. etc will be useful to attend challenges. Search has become more interactive in recent days at hacker earth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
probably nothing like that. I have based out Hyderabad, I would like to stay in Hyderabad, but not able to find more options in Hyderabad by hacker earth. I can say one thing most of the job opportunities from one location Bangalore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This she is one of the besst website for both beginners who are trying to improve their coding skills and for others who are seeking jobs. Their coding environment and interface is very smooth and is one of the best among others. Many good companies use hackerearth for hiring contests such as samsung, amazon, american express, etc. I best like their monthly circuits abd hourstorm challenge series. The companies which hold hiring contests on hackerearth have very few openings, around 5-10, which are very less. Moreover sometimes the submitted code fail a few test cases, but when you submit again, they get passed. Also coding in java give some errors( mostly tle even after fast input/output)even though the same code logic run in cpp correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my opinion Hackerearth has the most user friendly interface. Topic Wise separation of problems makes it easier to find problems related to a particular topic. Also problems are sorted according to difficulty levels was well which helps a lot. Regular Contests , Hackathons, Hiring Challenges makes Hackerearth a good choice for students who are passionate about coding. Also there are study materials provided for each topic which is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing that i think Hackerearth should work on is "The Quality of Questions". They should give more importance to " Quality Not Quantity ". There are some sections which have 100+ questions out of which only few are unique and worth doing, others are repetitive or similar. So Hackerearth should keep a check on the quality of questions added o different sections. Also on one hand some sections have 100+ questions whereas on the other other hand some section do not have sufficient quantity of questions. They should look into that too. Everything is well managed which provides nice experience when a new coder comes first time. Nice questions for practice which is attributed by the fact that they are placed under distinct topics and difficulty levels. Frequent contests in ML, competitive programming and hiring challenges by big recruiters is a major upside of hackerearth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Difficulty level and quality of contests can be improved. More short challenges can be introduced for better understanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When one starts as a novice in the field of Computer Science Engineering, they require something that guides them on how to proceed along the way of programming. HackerEarth provides a great first step to provide the basics of programming from a beginner level to an expert level. It not only provides a challenging platform for its users but also a great platform to explore into different industrial competitions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HackerEarth provides great challenges to its users but it could be better if it would provide the user with the solution after a certain time period if the user is unable to answer after numerous failed attempts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hacker Earth has good quality coding problems with high levels of coding. Moreover it has topic wised questions which is very useful for practicing a various topic . Hacker Earth has also very good programming contents such as July Circuits, Hour Storm, etc. Also Hacker Earth has very high quality of hackathon for the teams which I like the most. Code monk track in practice is also awesome for step by step practice the data structures and algorithms in a good way. Hacker Earth has very high competition in programming contests as problems are new and of very different types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The things I dislike is Industrial Challenges, a user get stuck for applying on these job openings as job openings minimum experience is 3 years which makes tough for the users who have just passed the degree. Moreover job openings requirements contains too much of experience with technology stack for the user which is applying for the job. One major problems is for the current pass outs i.e no internships related job openings which benefits the current pass outs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best things I would say about HackerEarth is its tutorials. The CodeMonk series is just an awesome compilation of very useful resources and concepts in Data Structures, Algorithms and also the mathematics part is quite useful in learning and enhancing skills in competitive programming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would just say HackerEarth is a nice platform to enrich the coding skills but the UI could be better. Also, the circuits competitions which held every month, I would suggest HackerEarth can also contribute to short contests to engage more confidence in programmers.
