Description

Product documentation your users will love. GitBook has everything you need to create beautiful docs for your users — so you don’t have to build your own editing tools, CMS, website and more. You can just focus on writing great content. GitBook’s branch-based Git workflow encourages your whole team to collaborate by creating a branch, requesting a review, and merging when ready. It’s a flow your developers already know and love — and they can even edit your docs in their code editor using Git Sync. That’s all backed up by AI that lets your users find what they need fast, publishing settings that put you in control of who can access your docs, and internal documentation for your own team.

"Simple, Elegant, and Powerful"
What do you like best about GitBook?

I love GitBook's versioning capabilities! The editing process is reminiscent of Jupyter with the content broken up into cells. The way you structure your documentation is very straight forward. You can get up and running very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitBook?

If you're not familiar with VCS or versioning it can be a little challenging for new users to think in those terms. Though, GitBook hides a lot of that complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Wonderful and gracious organization!"
What do you like best about GitBook?

Deeply gracious and apprecitative for the free nonprofit plan! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitBook?

I don't really have any dislikes or complaints. Perhaps the fact that it's hard to turn off dark mode on the landing page? But it's a minor thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My time with Gitbook"
What do you like best about GitBook?

Ease of use for sharing documents and information amongst the team. There was very little difficult getting adjusted to the interface and features, and it made sharing a lot easier amongst the team. I think it is also a bit better than some other file sharing/storing services that are out there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitBook?

No complaints. I found the product to be easy. I am used to sharing documents via a shared network drive.. So at first the change the Gitbook was a bit offputting. But aside from that, I dont have any main complaints that I would give a "heads up" to someone about or even a critique about the application Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So efficient and rich, yet so easy to use"
What do you like best about GitBook?

The most helpful things are: It's support for markdown language and the collaborating feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitBook?

The fact that the collaborating feature is paid, it would be amazing to at least offer orgs of 3 to be free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
