What do you like best about CoderPad?

We use the CodinGame online tool in our hiring to screen job applicants - developers who want to work for our company.

Everything is very simple, setting up an online test is easy, as is inviting candidates. Setting up an email invitation and expiring after 14 days is good.

The evaluation of the success of the candidates is clear and helps us a lot in the decision-making process.

We also welcome information about the timeline of the test - when and where the test began and when it ended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Nothing at all. We really like this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering CoderPad:

Go for it! We regret nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

Just recently they added a new feature - video recording when the applicant leaves the coding environment. That way recruiters can easily see how much time the applicant spent coding each task, and how many times he left the environment (and for how long he was gone). That is super interesting and very useful.

Other than that, platform is easy to use, with appealing desing.

The good thing is that it sends reminders to candidates so you don't have to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Can't say so far, I've been using it for 3 months now, and it's really helpful in my day to day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering CoderPad:

If you're a recruiter with many opened positions in development struglling to find the perfect fit - try CG.

If you're a technical person, developer or manager without HR support, seeking additional resources for recruiting - try CG. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoderPad solving and how is that benefiting you?

When having a great number of applicants for a role, by sending the CodinGame test you can easily find the best ones, scoring more on the test, or compared to your other applicants (it also compares each test with every other within that group, you ever sent). That way you can easily choose who to call for another interview and not waste time screening too many candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

I love the fact that we can test an unlimited amount of tech candidates, on top of being able to compare scores within a campaign, or against all the developers ever tested (comparative score).

I also like the interface, and the customer support.

They've added a sourcing feature which is very promising. I had a couple of interviews thanks to this, and with a very limited amount of money invested, compared to the cost of an agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

not much actually. I'd say maybe the number of languages available, although most of the time it fits my requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoderPad solving and how is that benefiting you?

i'm able to find out about a developer before hiring him/her. This saves me a LOT of time, and in the same time, i'm spending less money too in recruitment agnecies. I was also able to test the sourcing feature, and this promises to save even more money in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

I would highly recommend Codingame. As a non-technical person (I am not a developer), I am able to send and interpret results in a very easy manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

I had a hard time finding the right test to send to my candidates but I guess that is because a lot of tests have been created by my company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoderPad solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had a very specific HR problem, which was waste of time and human ressources. Before Codingame, we used to ask tech applicants to come to our offices, sit and make a hand-made test. This required having enough material (available computer in our open space) and enough human time (available developers to set up the test). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

very easy to setup campaigns with relevant questions and exercises, and very easy to track candidates. In COVID era we are facing the challenge to hire candidates remotely, and we missed a way to perform a good technical assessment not being in the same room with the candidate. Codingame is the perfect fit for that.

Our next step will be to use it with our internal employee as a tool useful for training and performance management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

No significant downsides. I'd like to see actual score alongside comparative score. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering CoderPad:

Our recommendation is to handle with care the test results. This is a tool, a great tool, but there can be a lot of reason why a good candidate doesn't perform well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoderPad solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to perform a good technical test for remote hiring Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
