This is the second time I got a test on CodinGame platform, from all the platforms I was tested on this is by far the most enjoyable one, I personally always enjoy doing this kind of test anywhere, but CodinGame is my personal favorite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe is a noob thing or is just me, but I don't like how things switch from one topic to another without telling you beforehand. Well maybe that is the way the test is meant to be, but I really dislike that part of the test process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is the best platform which can be used by the interviewer to test the skills of their candidates by organising the coding competition whether using the already avialable questions or they can upload their own questions.
Easy for Technical Assessment and love coding contest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They provide very less or no support when it comes to the freehand drawing or images. It makes it really hard to Illustrate certain ideas or problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No need to write your own test interviews for general programming knowledge, CGFW is the perfect solution for evaluating candidates. Everything in the interface and process has been setup for the best evaluation according to me. I remember setting up my own interview evaluation tests in the past. Won't do that again now. it may feel frustrating at first to have timed answers and automatic page changes after timeout (not sure if selected answers are taken into account when reaching that timeout) but that's probably part of the game, which makes sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its the best in testing the level of developers and it is useful for hiring process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
nothing as such as far as known. few issues with the code submissions, thats all Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The richness of the content as well as the very detailed report that is sent to us when a consultant has validated their test. This allows us to test our candidates both theoretically and practically through Coding exercises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the duration of the tests can be a bit long compared to the time a candidate can allocate. Sometimes also on the Coding exercises, it is necessary to reread the test because often a syntax error can be fatal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No limitation on assesments, you can configure as many tests as you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Depending on the subscription type you are limited on library questions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In comparison to previous testing suites, CodinGame provides everything that we and our hiring community needs and more! It is clearly laid out, has a tremendous amount of functionality and is user-friendly. We are only touching the surface of what can be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is not so much of an area of improvement or a negative aspect but because there is so much you can do, it can be quite daunting to sit down and try and understand all of the functionality that is available to us and our teams! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Codingame is a good tool for assessing programming skills. By no mean we consider it sufficient to hire good software engineers, so we also perform more interactive assessments in complementary interviews. But it is perfectly suitable to get a sense of some basic algorithmic and mastery of a given language. What I appreciate most:
- Ease to create campaigns in various programming languages
- Ease to check the assessment results
- Ease to get a sense of where the candidate is compared to the industry standards
- Very good questionnaire in Java and SQL Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Experience from mobile could really be improved on the admin UI, it is barely usable.
The coverage in terms of questions could be better in some technologies (cloud typically). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Excellent evaluation that doesn't feel boring with a good web-based IDE very similar to the tools you'd use offline. Fun and interesting questions with descriptive visuals but still have those ambiguous questions that don't highlight edge cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having time limits for individual questions makes sense to limit some questions like multiple choice, but on the long-form questions where you're building a code solution finishing 40 minutes faster should award some extra time for the next question. Especially with programming, anyone can have their brain shut down entirely on them, and they need just to look away to reset. Most sites don't have something like this though, so it's not a big deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
