It's incredibly easy to use. The app is streamlined to get you quickly into an interview, with powerful features to create templates for specific interview questions, or to playback all the keystrokes during the interview. I have used it for years across multiple jobs on hundreds of interviews. It seems like an industry standard at this point for coding interviews. Not much, just minor gripes: The drawing tool doesn't "snap" - or if it does, it's not obvious how to make it replace the code-output frame. It can be easy to forget to name your pads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how well the IDE/shell works, and the fact that code can be entered directly in the Node.js shell to get an instant evaluation, just as if you were doing it from a shell on your machine. The color highlighting makes it easy to track who is where and doing what in the editor, and the ability to pre-define questions and scenarios ahead of time and load them as needed is great. It doesn't hurt that there are so many supported languages (and even frameworks on specific languages), even if I tend to use just the JavaScript system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not a fan of the new question system that sees each question getting loaded into a separate tab in the editor. I greatly preferred the ability to load the question/code directly into the main editor window. If the new system were to be augmented to allow for replacing the code in the current window with the question as well as the existing functionality of loading it in a new tab, that would be the best-case scenario. Since Microsoft T- SQL is the most common SQL language used, it would be great if coder pad offered a T-SQL coder pad, but we manage most of the time with the MySQL pad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
