There are several things I like about AWS cloud, It provides many features like:
- high availability through az's (availability zones), regions, etc.
- high performance regarding network and compute power.
- security.
- Excelent support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would say one cons, is that is not something maybe for small business, if you're beginning with your company, another host provider would be a better fit for you. Also, you have a certain knowledge to deliver a good, reliable good infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to setup compared to native rds setup and also the security scalablity and disaster management is superb Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of now nothing may be more access to the OS of the machine would be wonderful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
good sql db. can replace easily on premises components and services Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) is its ability to simplify the management of relational databases with automated backups, scaling, and maintenance. This allows users to focus on application development without worrying about the underlying database infrastructure. The seamless integration with other AWS services and robust security features further enhance its appeal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) is the potential for high costs, especially with large-scale deployments and additional features like read replicas and Multi-AZ configurations. Additionally, the limited customization options can be a drawback for those who need deep control over their database environment, and the complexity of managing multi-region deployments can be challenging. The risk of vendor lock-in is also a concern, making it difficult to migrate to other services in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am using RDS Database past 6-7 years for many clients, The best of RDS Easy to Migrate database one account to another account and easy to handle and monitor the services Great Product Thank you Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No Dislikes About RDS service. Very easy to used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is way more easier to configure and maintain, providing way lot options for scalability and redundancy. It is easy to implement and integrate with different services [mostly integrating with other aws services] Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Im not any disadvantages, thing i see as a slight disadvantage is cost of the service,, which get incured for event running a t2.micro rds instance for a month would cost arround 8 dollar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of provisioning, implementing, frequency of usage on a daily basis, hte number of features RDS has to provide and the integration and apply various security measures is very much reliable and easier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
in my experience, the customer support is not good of RDS as we have good customer support assciates for dealing with various other AWS resources Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use to just provision the service, and focus on your code. the Implementation is very easy. You can enable number of features and extentions by just one click. The managed service, all the care is from AWS side, you just focus on the queries. You just use the connection string with password, which means easy integration. There are many plus points but for the negative side, you can consider the costing and some other very low side dislike points like when you are using the networking, you should be able to have prpoer idea of networking etc. The update sometimes also takes high time. It has been 3 years of using the RDS Service, the best feature which I like is the autoscaling without any operational overhead.
As the traffic increases service will sacled up and then become on lower once traffic lows by this way the costing is pay as you go.
Huge metrics will be helpful in deciding the least configuration and How much sacling is required.
MIgration from on-permises server to AWS RDS was awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Costing is somehow complex and expensive. Also some time when large no. of traffic on the server and performing the continuos querying with the Database will not given the point to autoscale that hand traffic due to which server gone away error will face. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The managed service with full care from AWS side, what you have to just use the service, rest of the managment is from AWS side. The implementation is very easy. You can avail Customer Support and can integrate with any application easily, just focus on your code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I have come as a dislike part of AWS RDS from client side is that they are complaining against the cost. Next thing is the time when the service is getting on update and you cannot modify. One thing is to create a tunnel for the private DB is a challengin part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
