Hotjar has many different features within one suite which is great. There's nothing worse than trying to triangulate data from ten different tracking sources. Integration is really easy and funnels are easy to set up. This is a great tool for anyone new...
I’m not really sure we need hotjar on top of google analytics. The visual lines are great but it’s a lot to sort through. Google Analytics is a much more full tool to use that offers more functionality. I’d preferred to not have to use more than one too.
It allows us to use super valuable information to make decisions, we can know which section of a website users consult the most, where they click, and with that, make those decisions.
I find the dashboard confusing and contains too many variables to be useful. It would be easier if Clarity started with the "industry best practice" KPI's and let us customize from there. Similarly, drilling down into each area, there are way too many...
