Blog Software

Typically, Blog is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Blog Software.

Many personal and professional blogs are created and tracked through website developers that perform the back-end processes of website development so users can build sites from easy-to-follow templates. Blogs fall into the G2 categories Web Content Management (WCM) and Website Builders. They ensure those without extensive development knowledge can have a space in the world wide web without learning complex code or HTML. Some of these tools can integrate with ecommerce platforms to enable users to turn their blog or website into an online store. Many are free at the base but offer users the opportunity to pay for a more in-depth subscription, purchase a domain name or gain access to more themes and templates. Website builders and WCM platforms can also offer analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) tracking features to help users understand their audience demographic. This, in turn, helps users make informed decisions that can foster online growth.

WordPress.org is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. They like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

“Still one of the best headless cms’s ive used”
What do you like best about Hygraph?

I’ve been using hygraph for a few projects now and this is still one of the easiest content management systems I’ve used. From model creation down to editing the features allow quick deployment and updates whilst development functionality is being built.

The api is easy and fast to use and the scheduled publishing and custom components have gone down a hit. I’ve also used the remote api schemes integration and this has saved multiple integrations per site as well as any downtime due to the caching behaviours on this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hygraph?

One thing I’d like to improve on hygraph is the ability to try new features outside of paid plans. It’s hard for developers to try and test these out without having a chat with an account manager and then being tied into a limited trial. Personal time doesn’t always fit within trial windows and this is annoying Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have an agnostic front end product built in next js and react. Using hygraph in the way we do gives us amazing flexibility and due to the api coupled with graphql generation libraries a really smooth integration. We don’t have to worry about the third party cms just the code we’re building. Any updates to schemas we can just regenerate and focus on anything new Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Definitely a friendly CMS”
What do you like best about Umbraco?

1. Developers Actually Enjoy It

Umbraco really nails that sweet spot between giving developers freedom and providing just enough structure to keep them on track. The clean API and open design mean we can build exactly what's needed without fighting the system. It's a win-win, whether you're running an agency or part of a product team.

2. Content Editing That's a Breeze

Honestly, our content editors genuinely love using Umbraco. The interface is so intuitive that whether it's a simple small business site or one of our big enterprise builds, the experience is consistently smooth. I spend way less time on training, and even people who aren't tech-savvy can handle tricky content with confidence.

3. Open Source Done Right

It's the best of both worlds with Umbraco: you get all the support and innovation from the open-source community, plus the solid backing of Umbraco HQ. That means professional support is there when you need it, and you can actually trust their roadmap for future development.

4. Plays Nicely with Everything

I've never had a headache trying to connect Umbraco to our existing tools. Thanks to its .NET foundation, integrating with CRMs, marketing platforms, data stores, or custom APIs is straightforward.

5. Built to Last

The sites we build on Umbraco tend to stick around on Umbraco. It's a stable, extensible platform with a clear release strategy and roadmap. I have some sites that have been with Umbraco for over 10 years - it is a platform that can grow with your business and adapt to changing markets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

1. There is a Learning Curve

If you're coming from WordPress or other simpler CMSs, Umbraco can feel a bit overwhelming at first. It's definitely more developer-focused, which means your team needs to have some technical skills to get the most out of it.

2. The Marketplace Feels a Bit Sparse

Compared to WordPress's massive plugin ecosystem, Umbraco's package directory can feel quite limited. Sometimes you end up building functionality from scratch that would be a simple plugin install elsewhere. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean more development time and budget for features you might take for granted on other platforms.

That said, one of the selling points of Umbraco is its opensource community - if you get stuck on something there will be people who have been in the same situation to call upon Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the biggest headaches I used to face was deployment issues hitting at the worst possible times.

Picture this: it's 6pm on a Friday, we need to push a bug fix, and suddenly there's a critical issue with an Umbraco Cloud deployment for one of our US clients. In the past, I'd either have to wait until Monday for proper support or try to muddle through myself, which isn't ideal when there is a bug on the client's site down.

Umbraco's recent move to open a support desk in the USA has been a game-changer for us. Now I've got extended support hours that actually align with when things tend to go wrong. If there's an issue at after 4pm UK time, there's someone on the other side of the Atlantic who can help sort it out properly, rather than me losing sleep or leaving clients hanging. “A Painful, Bloated Mess for Website Management—Avoid If You Value Your Sanity”
What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

HubSpot as a broader platform has some great tools—its CRM, marketing automation, and analytics features are genuinely valuable. If you're already deep in the HubSpot ecosystem, having everything in one place can be convenient. That said, the Content Hub specifically is the weakest link by far. It’s better than having no website at all... but just barely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

HubSpot Content Hub is hands down the most frustrating platform I’ve had the misfortune to use for web content. It promises ease and flexibility but delivers the opposite—painful limitations, poor UX, and bloated tech that tanks performance.

The out-of-the-box templates feel like a relic from 2010. If you want anything remotely custom or modern, you're immediately stuck needing developer support. That defeats the entire point of using what should be a user-friendly CMS.

The platform's settings and options are scattered and counterintuitive. Nothing is where you'd expect it to be, and simple tasks like layout adjustments or basic styling often involve painful workarounds. Worse still, even when you do configure everything correctly, you're rewarded with sluggish load times and poor performance metrics. The bloat is real, and it hurts both SEO and user experience.

Even HubSpot’s native modules and "smart content" feel like half-baked afterthoughts—lacking in both depth and polish. For a platform trying to position itself as enterprise-ready, it delivers a shockingly immature and restrictive content experience.

Bottom line: There are countless better platforms out there—don’t waste your time (or budget) on HubSpot Content Hub unless you’re okay with constantly wrestling a clunky, inflexible, and underpowered system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

In theory, HubSpot Content Hub is meant to solve the problem of managing website content alongside your CRM and marketing tools in one integrated platform. The idea is appealing: centralized data, unified tools, and streamlined workflows.

In practice, however, the Content Hub creates more problems than it solves. Its lack of flexibility, poor performance, and reliance on developers for even basic customization severely limits any real benefit. While it technically lets us publish content and integrate it with HubSpot’s broader ecosystem, the friction it adds to the process makes it hard to justify. “Seamless integration with our Next.js app”
What do you like best about Sanity?

I really like that Sanity is built with React and sits nicely alongside our Next.js app. It’s fast, developer-friendly, and incredibly customizable. The Studio gives you full control over how you manage and structure content, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sanity?

That said, the flexibility can be a double-edged sword. Starting from a blank slate means there’s a fair amount of initial setup before your Studio is fully functional. They do offer starter templates, which help, but it would be nice to have a more opinionated base with core features out of the box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sanity solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're currently exploring Sanity as a solution to move away from a monolithic CMS (Adobe Experience Manager), which has been slow, rigid, and difficult to maintain. Sanity’s headless, API-first approach fits well with our modern stack (React + Next.js) and offers the flexibility and developer control that AEM lacks. Even in early testing, we’re seeing how it could streamline content workflows, simplify development, and provide a much more scalable and maintainable setup. “Google Workspace is a time saver on workload”
What do you like best about Google Workspace?

I use starred, but workspave allows you to group files together that you use together to complete a task using all the files. It allows me to go to one place and open all the files from that group I need to use together. Saves time hunting them in a common list and they are all over in the list instead of together in a compact list. I heavily use the workspaces, one for each task that uses a set of files. Also shortens my Starred list as I only add them to a workspace. It is extremely easy to use just drag and drop into a workspace you label for implementation for frequent tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

Workspace has 8 active and HIDDEN after, I wish you could have more than 8 active, so I don't have to swap a hidden with an active. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

It saves time several times each month, probably days or weeks of time in a year. I use the freed up time for other tasks, and I am more productive as a result. The tasks I use workspaces speed up response time to management and staff in all our company, that they need to perform tasks that wait on my completing my tasks. I can't think of anything that I dislike about Duda. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Duda solving and how is that benefiting you?

Duda tackles key website-building challenges, delivering significant benefits for my business and my clients, especially in local SEO, where it outperforms platforms like WordPress.

Here’s how:

Simplified Website Development: Duda’s intuitive drag-and-drop editor and pre-designed templates make building websites fast and easy, eliminating the technical complexity of managing plugins, hosting, or updates required by WordPress. This saves time and reduces costs, allowing me to focus on growing my business.

Superior Mobile Optimization: Duda’s mobile-responsive templates and Vary: User-Agent feature ensure websites load quickly and look great on any device. This improves user experience, boosts client satisfaction, and enhances search rankings due to better mobile performance.

Powerful Local SEO Tools: Duda’s built-in SEO features, like customizable meta tags, schema markup, and Google PageSpeed optimization, drive superior local SEO results. Its flat URL structure and global CDN help my clients’ websites rank higher in local searches, attracting more customers compared to WordPress’s less streamlined SEO capabilities.

Streamlined Client Management: For my agency, Duda’s client management tools, including team collaboration and white-label options, simplify handling multiple projects. This scalability improves efficiency, enabling me to serve more clients effectively.

These solutions have accelerated my workflow, enhanced my clients’ online visibility, and driven more traffic to their businesses, making Duda a game-changer over WordPress for local SEO and overall performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A Game-Changer for Multi Vendor Platforms!”
What do you like best about Selldone?

Switching to Selldone has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my business. As someone just starting out, I can confidently say Selldone is miles ahead of Shopify, especially when it comes to multi vendor functionality. With the Enterprise Plan, you get everything you need to launch and scale your platform—no more paying for multiple apps to cover basic features!

What truly sets Selldone apart is how streamlined and intuitive the platform is. Everything is built-in, so you can focus on building your vision without worrying about constant add-ons and hidden costs.

On top of that, the support has been phenomenal. A huge shoutout to Alireza for going above and beyond to help me get started. His assistance has reignited my excitement and passion for pursuing this project. I now feel more confident than ever about turning my vision into reality.

If you're looking for a robust, cost-effective multi vendor platform with excellent support, Selldone is the way to go. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to focus on growing their business without the hassle! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Selldone?

Honestly, there’s not much I dislike about Selldone—it’s more about me taking the time to learn the platform. As someone new to this, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but that’s to be expected with any robust and feature-rich platform. Thankfully, the team has been incredibly helpful and responsive, making it easier to navigate and get the hang of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Selldone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Selldone is simplifying the process of launching and managing my multi vendor platform by providing everything I need in one place. Unlike other platforms, where I’d have to rely on multiple apps and integrations to get essential features, Selldone’s Enterprise Plan comes fully equipped, saving me both time and money.

The platform’s all-in-one solution eliminates the hassle of juggling various tools, allowing me to focus on the core aspects of my business—building relationships with sellers and delivering value to my audience. This streamlined approach not only makes my work more efficient but also reduces the stress of managing multiple moving parts.

Moreover, the support I’ve received from the Selldone team, particularly Alireza, has been a huge confidence booster. Their guidance has made it easier for me to understand the platform and reignited my enthusiasm for my project. It feels like I have a partner genuinely invested in my success.

Selldone has truly empowered me to turn my passion into reality while providing the tools and support needed to build a scalable and sustainable business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Incredibly easy to get your website up and running with both the product and Morphic team. They managed the entire process for me and I also had the aiblity to make updates on my own. They help with everything from branding to script, to media. It was great to let them focus on that while I was focused on managing my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Morphic?

“Built my entire site with Webflow”
What do you like best about Webflow?

I built mapledesign.co entirely on Webflow, and I use it almost every day. What I love most is how much control it gives me over every detail — from margins to z-index. Compared to tools like Framer, Webflow allows for precise layout structure using real spacing tools, not just padding and gaps. That flexibility makes it feel more like true frontend development but in a visual way.

In terms of ease of use, once you understand how things like flexbox and grid work, Webflow becomes incredibly intuitive — especially for designers. The interface is well thought-out, and the CMS and interactions panel are powerful and clean. It’s become my go-to tool for both personal and client projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

The biggest issue for me is how Webflow handles custom code. You have to go into page settings, open a sidebar, scroll, and repeat for every change. It slows things down. I’d love a dedicated code panel that’s accessible from anywhere, like a floating sidebar.

Also, while the interface is powerful, it could be more beginner-friendly. If Webflow added features that let you resize and place elements freely—similar to how Figma works—it would be much easier for non-developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?

Webflow helps me design and ship production-quality websites without needing a developer. It’s fast, visual, and precise. I can maintain full control over responsiveness, layout, and animations—while still handing off something clean and scalable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Enterprise-Grade Content Management with Flexibility and Power”
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

Adobe Experience Manager stands out for its ability to manage complex, multi-site, and multilingual content at scale. Features like Multi-Site Manager (MSM), Content Fragments, and Experience Fragments make reusability and localization seamless. From a developer’s standpoint, its support for headless CMS with GraphQL, integration with Adobe Target and Analytics, and the emerging Edge Delivery Services (EDS) ecosystem make it future-ready. It strikes a great balance between marketer-friendly tools and developer extensibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

AEM has a steep learning curve, especially for new developers or teams without prior Adobe stack experience. Licensing and infrastructure costs can be significant for smaller organizations, and upgrades between major versions (e.g., from AEM 6.5 to AEM as a Cloud Service) can require significant planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're using AEM to manage a global network of websites with localized content, running personalized campaigns, and integrating with Adobe Experience Cloud for a unified digital strategy. It has streamlined our content delivery, reduced duplication, and improved time-to-market for digital experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“suprisingly easy to create an excellent website”
What do you like best about Rocketspark?

The preset template for my site made editing and setup incredibly easy. This removed many of the 'what do I need on my site' issues. Flint's AI usage in setting up pages made it go so much quicker than I thought. The email and phone support was always within an hour and my dumb questions were not seen as dumb :) The support person was so encouraging the whole way through. What do you dislike about Rocketspark?

Honestly, and i know this may sound lame, but I cant think of anything. It really was so easy from having a vague web site concept in my head, to a fully functioning professional site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Rocketspark solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed a professional looking website and I have very minimal web design and builder skills. The page preset templates and easy 'box' design of the pages made it so easy to add and edit content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PICS.IO solving and how is that benefiting you?

We store all our files in Pics.io and the software helps us quickly locate the necessary images and videos when needed. It saves our distributed team many hours that we previously were spending questioning each other on the exact file location and the latest version of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
