Asset Tracking Software

Typically, Asset Tracking is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Asset Tracking Software.

Asset tracking software enables you to label or barcode equipment, manage assets throughout the entire lifecycle, track asset location and delivery status, and generate reports to determine performance analytics. Multiple tools are used to track assets across a variety of industries. Depending on several factors, companies can determine the asset management system that best aligns with goals and initiatives. Enterprise asset management (EAM) software enables administrators and other professionals to view, manage, and analyse physical assets. Using a holistic approach, it helps optimize management strategies by tracking the lifecycle of all company-owned assets. Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) offer similar functionality to EAM software, but focus solely on digital assets. It also helps users respond to planned or preventative maintenance work orders associated with facility assets. For IT professionals, Enterprise IT management suites serve as an infrastructure control center for IT departments in mid- to large-sized businesses.

“Great partner since 2016”
What do you like best about NinjaOne?

We've been with Ninja since 2016 and they've been an excellent partner. They are responsive to both billing and service requests and have continually made the RMM tools better and better. They've been a cornerstone part of our MSP business and we very much appreciate the partnership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NinjaOne?

Reporting could be stronger, especially end-user-facing reports that convey the value of what we are providing to our customers. Occasionally we get some hit or miss with the patch management but I'd say it's 95% effective in getting patching done correctly. I'd like to see a little more partnership on the marketing side (i.e. MDF funds, or marketing consultation help to grow both our businesses). Overall, though, our experience has been great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NinjaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

GIves us a tool to manage our customers endpoints and provide patch management, remote monitoring and remote support at a reasonable price. We also utilize their NinjaBackups services and the Teamviewer, Splashtop and Webroot integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Using MaintainX to manage a retail chain”
What do you like best about MaintainX?

What I like best about MaintainX is how easy it makes it to track, assign, and follow up on maintenance tasks across multiple locations in real time. The interface is user-friendly, and the ability to attach photos, documents, and comments to each request helps ensure clear communication and accountability. I also appreciate the customizable checklists and the flexibility to set recurring tasks or preventive maintenance schedules—it really supports staying proactive rather than reactive. What do you dislike about MaintainX?

nothing at all, it's an easy to use platform! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MaintainX solving and how is that benefiting you?

MaintainX is solving the problem of disorganized and inconsistent maintenance reporting across our locations. Before using it, we relied on emails, phone calls, and paper logs, which made it easy for tasks to fall through the cracks. With MaintainX, all requests are centralized, tracked, and time-stamped, which improves visibility, accountability, and follow-through. It's also helping us move toward more preventive maintenance instead of just reactive fixes, which saves time, money, and unnecessary equipment downtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Powerful endpoint management solution.”
What do you like best about Atera?

Atera is a powerful remote management platform that we've integrated into our IT operations for managing endpoint devices like computers, servers, and mobile phones. It offers full control over both the devices and applications we manage, which is vital for our IT team. The admin dashboard is simple to customize with a drag-and-drop interface, making it easy for me, as a data analytics manager, to set up the tools I need to monitor in one place. The left-side navigation simplifies our workflow by giving quick access to key features like remote access, asset management, and alerts. Atera's training video guides and tutorials help our teams implement best practices for device and software management and fix misconfiguration if any. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atera?

One area that could be enhanced is the reports section because I see more potential for Atera to use AI to automatically analyze and generate deeper insights, like identifying usage patterns or predicting potential device failures, making our reporting even more proactive for troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Atera solving and how is that benefiting you?

Atera plays a key role in solving critical IT issues quickly across our team. For example, as a data analytics manager, I’m responsible for overseeing our team’s workgroup data servers and analytical applications. Atera allows me to monitor these systems remotely, ensuring they’re running efficiently without needing to be on-site. The platform notifies me in real time of any hardware/software issues or potential security threats, which means I can address problems before they escalate and disrupt our workflow. For instance, I can resolve server issues on my own before they impact the team, or I can escalate them to IT with a support ticket or through live chat. This flexibility means no downtime, which is essential for our fast-paced projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Intuitive, technician-friendly interface and depth without bloat”
What do you like best about Limble?

I appreciate how Limble delivers robust functionality without ever feeling bloated. It gives me all the essentials—work-order automation, asset hierarchies, PM scheduling, inventory, vendor and PO tracking, and real-time dashboards—while adding forward-thinking extras like AI-assisted diagnostics and no-code integrations. Best of all, I can toggle or rename almost any setting, so the platform adapts perfectly to my workflows instead of making me adapt to it. Integrates well with Microsoft Teams. Customer support rep with weekly meetings made config extremely easy and seamless. I use Limble every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Limble?

I found the upfront data prep pretty demanding. Importing our thousands of assets and converting our legacy PM schedules into Limble’s hierarchy took a fair amount of spreadsheet wrangling and clean-up—easily the toughest part of getting up and running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Limble solving and how is that benefiting you?

I’ve got every asset, spare part, and work order at my fingertips in one searchable hub. “Game-Changer for Managing Church & School Facilities”
What do you like best about UpKeep?

UpKeep has been an absolute game-changer for our operations at Mary Immaculate Church & School. Managing two large commercial buildings and multiple residential properties used to feel like juggling blindfolded—but UpKeep brought order, visibility, and peace of mind. The work order system is intuitive and easy for our staff to use, and the mobile app allows our maintenance team to respond quickly, even across multiple buildings. Preventive maintenance scheduling has helped us stay ahead of costly issues, and we’ve been able to track vendors, parts, and recurring tasks with much more clarity. The ability to pull historical data and see asset trends has made our budgeting more strategic and less reactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpKeep?

The only downside so far is that the inventory module took a bit of time to fully customize to our needs. A few additional options for bulk editing or viewing data across multiple locations would improve speed during setup—but once configured, it's worked reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?

UpKeep has brought structure and visibility to our facilities operation at Mary Immaculate Church & School. We manage multiple buildings—two large commercial spaces and three residential rectories—so the ability to centralize work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and track vendor performance has been critical. Before UpKeep, we were relying on emails, paper notes, and memory to manage everything. Now we have a system that helps us stay ahead of issues, prioritize urgent repairs, and make data-informed decisions around budgeting and asset lifecycle. It's made our operations more efficient and has allowed our small team to handle a large, complex campus with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Friendly user interface with organizational power, useful analytics, and helpful customer support.”
What do you like best about Fiix CMMS?

My favorite feature about Fiix is the simplicity. Whether I'm maintaining the work order cycle, organizing inventory, creating an asset register, or customizing dashboards, the layout is easy to understand and allows me to analyze the current state of our facility with ease. If I ever have trouble understanding a feature, the customer support is helpful and friendly. As a process engineer at a palm oil refinery, Fiix makes my life easier and I recommend it to anyone who needs a robust CMMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fiix CMMS?

There is nothing that I dislike about Fiix. Like any CMMS, the advanced features will take some time to understand, but those features allow me to evaluate the efficiency of our maintenance department. If I had to pinpoint any frustrations with Fiix, it would be creating assets. Instead of just creating one at a time, it would be amazing if I could make many assets at once that have similar qualities, but with different names. Tedious tasks are all part of creating an asset register and inventory system, so it is likely unavoidable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fiix CMMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had issues with our customized analytics page, as the data wasn't aligning with the empirical data our team regularly tracks. Our customer support representative was able to help resolve these issues and we've been happy ever since. There are no problems with Fiix that we're currently facing, our team enjoys its features and friendly interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very important and appropriate solution for our AWS cloud Environment”
What do you like best about AWS Systems Manager?

Since, Macie covers s3, cloudwatch covers VPC logs, Cloudtrail with api calls within services. There were some limitations within them. Since our infrastructure may be secure, but in case of defense in depth, we should always consider regular patching of EC2, identify unwanted softwares. Who and when it happened. All these should be logged for correlating purpose. System Manager with help of agents and aggregators shows the posture of an OS or an EC2 or running core. The integration is also very simple with other services to make sure security and compliance is in stand. Coming to patch manager, using playbooks were pretty easy and risk free as it could be triggered based on rules. Thanks for such a service. Implementation and support are always available from docs, whitepapers, community etc, . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Systems Manager?

Downside is, Overall , in view of compliance sometimes PII uploaded to s3 can be identified with Macie. But when its an image or pdf containing photo copies of such personal sensitive information its hard to identify. It might be stored on the ec2 or s3. But figuring out it is complex. We do have OCR techniques in some services, which can trigger ec2 playbooks. Yes , it can be achievable with right problem solving technique and using the required services. “Centralized management and fully automated platform”
What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?

With Nerdio Manager, we can manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for all of our customers within one portal. We almost use it every day to monitor that AVD status.

The best thing I like about Nerdio is its automation. It can combine a series of complicated steps if I do it from Azure to a single click. For example, update the Gold Image. If I do it from Azure, it takes me 30 mins to 1 hour with steps of sys-prep, snapshotting from disk, saving to image, etc. But with Nerdio, it's just a single click on "Save as image". The rest of the thing will be done by Nerdio. We just need a cup of coffee and wait till it is completed. It gives us status update step-by-step. If anything went wrong, it's easy for us to troubleshoot based on the status and error message. It saved us a lot of time and effort on monthly patching.

The other thing I like is the auto-scale. The auto-scale settings are way more powerful than the Azure built-in scale plan. Also, the history of auto-scale makes us easy to optimise auto-scale to save customers' costs.

The deployment and integration for a customer is very simple. The initial setup of the whole AVD environment can be done within 30 minutes by following the wizard. I love its automation.

The customer support is also excellent. Support can find the root cause quickly and give us solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?

Not something I dislike, but a suggestion. The AVD troubleshooting still needs to go to Azure Insight, not from Nerdio itself. But Nerdio gives a clear link to redirect to Azure portal AVD Insight. I can see Nerdio are adding more functions from Insight already, like CPU and RAM usage of each session host, RTT of each user, etc. I am expecting more functions will be integrated into Nerdio. So I don't need to jump to Azure for anything moving forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

The excellent automation benefited us a lot. For example, saving and updating gold image, batch creating new session hosts, initially deploying AVD for new customers, setting up and optimizing auto-scale for AVD host pool, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Solid platform as a simple CMS solution”
What do you like best about eWorkOrders CMMS?

It's a simple platform. The other CMMS systems we reviewed had extremely elaborate tools that would likely simply go unused based upon the need of our business and the skill level of the team interacting with it. Having the option for an unlimited number of users means that even our base level technicians can have ease of access to the platform without us having to review the P&L every time we have a new staff hire. This was a huge nuisance with our last platform and EWO solved for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eWorkOrders CMMS?

Lack of custom report generation. As a person who subscribes wholeheartedly to a data driven approach, being able to manually custom make reports would be a huge improvement on the experience with EWO. However, the other tools in the system are more than adequate for operating the business and any custom reporting we may need can be done by customer service. “Feeling much better about network config backups”
What do you like best about BackBox?

I like BackBox a lot because of its unbelievable automation features. It eliminates a lot of human labor. As another syteme, performing backups of our network devices every night is a large burden relieved by the automation of the task. This guarantees that we can always put back a recent setting in case anything happens to go awry. The compliance reporting is also simplified thus making the audits much less painful. We have the ability to rapidly retrieve reports of device hardness of our total infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BackBox?

Advanced automation design may take a bit of steep learning curve on BackBox. Its user interface is slightly clunky or perhaps not as intuitive as it might be. Occasionally, we may need to encounter small bugs following updates and these may be irritating. Interfacing with truly specialized or out-dated devices also often needs custom scripting. Not every situation is a cured plug and play. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BackBox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our activities were to do a regular backup and configuration checking and would take hours per week. It was easy to make a mistake which could not always be traced. Today, BackBox does all that vital work automatically on our behalf. It carries out regular back-ups every night, and it imposes our security policies actively. “Great software and customer service, despite some occasional bugs”
What do you like best about Click Maint CMMS?

- Easy for techs to use, it has a lot of customization options that make it easy to go into specific detail and provide them with the information they need.

- Request and Work Order submission forms are very flexible and customizable. Makes the process of submitting, approving and completing tickets much faster and simpler to use.

- Requesters like the simplified submission forms that don't require too much detail, admins are satisfied with the customizable options for putting in detail like specific work order categories and asset downtime tracking features, and technicians appreciate the ease-of-use that allows them to use the system without being overwhelmed by trying to complete the work order, while having to simultaneously track their workflow progress in the system.

- The customer service is fantastic. The creators and support team are very friendly, helpful and committed to providing the end user with a quality product, as well as maintaining open communication and dialogue to continuously make improvements and receive feedback on any noted issues the user might encounter. Their response time is fast, corrections and bug fixes are handled very quickly, and they're very good about making schedule accommodations to discuss any concerns when they arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click Maint CMMS?

- The app and website are not updated at the same pace; website gets updated fairly regularly, but the app is still missing a few admin features, like parts & inventory management.

- The search filtering for work orders, parts and other categories is confusing at times. Could be simplified a bit.

- Work Order customization is good, but it lacks some flexibility for assigning different tasks (such as inspections and taking readings with numerical values like pressures and temperatures.) They recently added a "Procedures" category to fix this, but

- Preventive Maintenances can only be assigned to a single Asset, which makes creating a PM program for multiple assets that would all be grouped together and be covered by the same PM checklist (Air Handler Units, Exhaust Fans, Ice Machines, etc.) feel very tedious and repetitive.

- Assets can have documents and files individually uploaded to them, but there is no category or sidebar menu for a "document library" for uploading files like IOM & Service Manuals, inspection and testing completion certificates, Letters of Approval, and other regulatory compliance documents that the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) would be looking for.

- QR codes are handy and could be more useful if formatting them for printing on labelling sheets was easier, but adjusting the size and shape to fit printouts is difficult and has made the process of implementing their use throughout our building very time consuming, so the project was left incomplete.

- Overall, the system would probably benefit from a slightly more structured format and less fluidity. From a technician standpoint it's very easy to use, but from an admin perspective, the setup and editing processes should be reined in a bit to make implementation and populating the system go more smoothly. “A truely unique product challenging the way we do Enterprise Service Management.”
What do you like best about Xurrent?

Xurrent excels best at defining how organisations truely deliver services to their customers. Their unique take on this brings us down from our abstracted ivory towers and brings us back to ground. Allowing for the creation of service catalogues and service delivery that matches what occurs in real life. Ultimately this leads to greater effficienies within resolver teams and a net positive for end users consuming a service that is in familar language.

The ability for Xurrent to scale up with an organisation and drive maturity is second to none. Using its unique tenant based feature, multiple accounts can be spun up for varying departments such as IT, HR, Legal, Risk, Security / Cyber etc. Services delivered between these departments are trivial to implement which for other tools on the market right now would be challenging to otherwise impossible.

Another unique feature about Xurrent is fully integrated SIAM and this comes out in the way they handle their customer support. Tickets or issues being raised about Xurrent can be created within the tool itself (no longer the days of having to go to a seperate supplier support portal) enabling a use case where an organisation's end user may raise a question about xurrent which goes to their internal support team, who then may escalate this up to their implementation partner who then may escalate it up to Xurrent themselves, all the while the note history is visible between every organisation fostering open collaboration.

Lastly Xurrent, and the people who run it are fantastic. They have a fantastic product, and their ongoing stewardship of that product is excellent. I would wholeheartdly recommend Xurrent to any business looking to maturity their IT Service Management or Enterprise Service Management positions and want a fresh take on an otherwise stagnant market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xurrent?

The only major drawback with Xurrent currently is their UI is slightly dated feeling.

That being said there is a whole new UI release coming shortly on their development roadmap so I can see this issue going away soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xurrent solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an implementor and partner, we use Xurrent ourselves internally. It has a suprising range of features not just within Service Management but also Project & Portfolio Management, Agile Development / Kanban's, Invoice Contract Management and others. All of these features helps us run not only the development of our internal tools but also the customer support for our customers and the modeling and management of new implementation projects via plans directly loaded within Xurrent itself.

For our customers, Xurrent has been able to drive rapid maturity and we are seeing greater levels of colloboration between IT and non-IT teams leading to many of our customers embracing and adoption true Enterprise Service Management with a single unified service portal. “Nicus Administrator review”
What do you like best about Nicus?

The tool is very straightforward to administer. I have 13 regular users in our IT Finance team plus a variety of users in other areas of IT and the Business. The normal administrative functions are easy to use and allow me to see most of the views I need out of the box. Customizing reports and tables is a drag and drop interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nicus?

There are a few views I would like to have as an administrator that are not part of the regular report package. This makes it harder to see what reports are available to particular users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nicus solving and how is that benefiting you?

WE have transferred all the day to day work of the IT Finance team to Nicus. This has gotten them off of multiple spreadsheets and allowed better reporting. One team member told me that now the tools used are not the bottleneck but getting the reports from the cost center owners. We do all financial reporting out of Nicus now and the IT directors are used to seeing the financial reports in Nicus. We are now expanding to creating a Cost Model and generating the first Bills of IT to validate with the business side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
