What do you like best about Twilio SendGrid Email API?

The API itself works fine. The UI is relatively easy to navigate. It does everything you'd need an email API to do. As long as you don't mind constantly being suspended for false flags and getting support at least 3 business days later every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twilio SendGrid Email API?

There is zero support when the system automatically flags you for "unusual" activity. We have a 99% reputation according to SendGrid with 0 spam reports and 0 unsubscribes. Our app traffic tends to surge on one day each week according which causes our emails to surge on that day as well. We have been with SendGrid for about 3 months and have now been suspended 4 times and each time they say it was a false suspension. But there is no response for DAYS each time. SendGrid makes my life so much easier! I use it nearly daily in my capacity as a technical support specialist, and email issues are not uncommon. SendGrid not only makes the whole emailing setup and process seamless and easily integrates with all of our software, but also provides huge transparency and reporting into all of its functions. Frankly i have tried mailgun, sendpulse, sendinblue all are better than sendgrid i case of ease of use, pricing, and specially the support. i am using it from a long time and every time i face some kind of different issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their login system sucks, authenticator not working, text message not working, and you don't have option to recover account.

What do you dislike about Twilio SendGrid Email API?

I have been using Sendgrid for years, since long before Twilio bought it. When twilio bought it, we started with bullshit, that insistence of theirs to force you to use 2FA, the "security" yes or yes and an interface that was getting more obsolete every day.

I also had my scares due to traffic peaks that I found difficult to analyze where they came from, but because of laziness I didn't change the service since I used it in dozens of places.

The last straw was when overnight (early Monday morning) they cut my service due to "malicious traffic from my endpoints", and asking me to fill out a super-exhaustive report, more than a dozen questions, to restore the service and all this, with response times to the incident of several days, meanwhile, everything stopped. That means, literaly, all my webs and services without being able to send emails.

Talking to their support, they told me that it is normal, that they had seen that one of my websites had probably been breached, and that at such a signal they would cut to the chase.

We are talking about less than a dozen emails in a week, in a contracted service of 50,000 emails per month, sometimes with peaks of 80-90k per month.

Obviously, I contracted another service, and once I got over the laziness of having to configure 22 endpoints again, I won't go back to Sendgrid even if they pay me.

The new service has a much more useful interface if any endpoint is used to send SPAM, and if so I will remove it and solve the problem.

I won't say the name of the service, it is also one of the best known, but I don't want to advertise it for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sendgrid has a lot of features but the one thing difficult to get a hold of is their support. At present they mainly provide email support which is not highly responsive. Although we rarely needed help from their support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
