Same experience as on great public Stack Overflow platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is easier to just ask a colleague next desk than to capture a valuable question plus answers in the tool - not really the fault of Stack Overflow, but especially in private teams, the direct bypass usually exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We can keep track of our organizational issues in a better way. Also the documentation can be done in the same.
One last thing which makes stackoverflow stand out as compare to other solutions is "We are able to store our past mistakes and researches for upcoming people or re-occurring issues " Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's private.. and easy to find answers to questions that have been asked in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't love that it's another place I have to check for things. There are probably slack integrations, etc. But I don't always think of it first for some reason. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It could be more clear for new users how to use it. Such as don't post replies in comments, don't use the service as a social media platform etcetera. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I must admit - As a great fan of the famous stack overflow platform, I couldn't find anything I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Stack Overflow provides a very well known interface for tech workers to ask questions and surface the best answers. Within an organization, this is just as valuable as it is in the wide open web. Weekly reports make it easy to keep track of your effectiveness at sharing knowledge internally, and API access makes it easy to integrate with your other systems, especially for SSO. Permissions to perform operations aren't as fine-grained as I'd like. It would be nice be able to prevent certain member levels from being able to assign questions to other individuals or to force them to reuse existing tags instead of creating new ones. Without software level controls of these things, you have to train and enforce proper discipline to decrease your moderation burden on the tail end. You also have to use the question format to put process notes in the system, where a static page with a direct menu link might be more useful, but with the addition of Collections, that may be an acceptable mechanism for now. The interface is relatively simplistic. Could offer more robust features, but I understand the desire to keep it simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to ask company related questions safely, and be able to search for those later.
I also like that it's one place for new hires to search questions related to our product, culture and have questions about coding answered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything related to Stack Overflow that I dislike so far.. It has been super helpful to have one place to concentrate the knowledge base for my company.
If there was one thing I think I would change is to make search more assertive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
